posted a message on You'll know as soon as I _______.
Saw this thread on main diablo 3 site and there were some good responses.. thought it would be good to post here and see what DF peeps have to say:

In the spirit of Jay Wilson's recent twitter feed where he
contradicted himself with "You'll know as soon as I am allowed to
say" and "You'll know as soon as I know" regarding the release date,
create the real sign of release using his sentence formula.

    My entry:

"You'll know as soon as I finish rumaging through 600 ex-employee's desks."

    ok here's my speculation.
    Jay's tweet

    Look at the video length.
    "Never stop dreaming... " , Diablo 3 release date May 19th ;)

Maybe the defunding of NASA is a veiled reference to Blizzard's exodus of WoW subscribers...and that they can't fullfill our dreams (D3) unless someone forks over some more cash.

I vote wallpaper. i bet a wallpaper will be released and release date will be pushed back to delay the pushback of the release for d3.
    makes no sense

    /sips coffee

I think when they actually do release the date, it should be in the form of a wallpaper

posted a message on Do bosses reset if you die?
Do bosses reset in D3 if you wipe on a boss or do they stay at whatever health you knocked them down to after you rez? Been quite awhile since I played D2, but I recall that the boss damage stayed..so if you had crappy gear and didn't mind dying a few times, you could take down the boss.

I just realized why Blizzards forecasting is so horrible. They are the only company on the planet that actually was affected by the Y2K issue. Soon as they get that straightened out they'll be spot on in
    their dates.

I think his form for D3 should have been a teletubby ...it's simple, androgynous, and pure evil.

posted a message on Intentionally leveling a bad character?
I think it's a good idea to play games not quite as they were intended..it's fun and can be challenging.
    Some examples:

fun: my brother was playing a navy flight simulator and decided to fly upside down over the aircraft carrier and hit the pilot eject button. I still laugh about that one.

challenging: in vanilla wow, rolled a toon, stripped it bare and sold everything, had enough to buy herbalism skill, picked just enough stuff to have a bit of cash to start buying/reselling things on the Auction House..got up to 20Gold (which was quite a lot back in vanilla wow days) and still level 1 before I deleted the toon... oh and I named the toon "Apprentice"..old Donald would be proud.

I can definitely see playing a bad skilled character once I've played it normally. Could also see playing a HC character with really bad equipment to see how far they will survive. Or even a ranged (wizard) with no equipment.

posted a message on Diablo 3 wishlist: Act zero
I like this concept alot. I would prefer to have it occur at the start of normal mode, and not appear in any of the other difficulties, mainly because it makes sense for it to occur in that order. Getting to know the character creates a bond and appreciation for the skills/abilities they will acquire. Certainly better than *poof*, you're a lvl1 one half-naked witch doctor, now go kill some stuff. Unfortunately this idea will never see the light of day, because it doesn't lend itself to an expansion. Too bad, because I would
have liked to see the backstories for all of these characters. Regardless, I'm still anxiously awaiting the *poof* lvl1 half-nakedness !
