It's a super cool pet, I'm glad I was able to pick this up! Diablo goes a long ways back for me and this Diablo pet is just icing on that cake! (hope that fix comes soon for that continuous growl.. haha)
Don't be so ungrateful, I had fun with the contest and it churned the 'ol noggin for all things pertaining to the world of Sanctuary .. and eh, long, sleepless nights waiting in the trade chat for that best trade for D2. Didn't win anything but enjoyed the ride, thanks guys (and gals).
Diablo 2 and Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction had made up a large part of my gaming career since junior high school straight into high school. I remember cutting class just to go to cyber cafe's and they weren't ordinary cyber cafe's either, they had most popular games! Guess which one I played? .. Bingo, Diablo 2.
I played Diablo 2 so religiously that I had every class at a high level, farmed the Secret Cow Level, spent hours upon hours in the Trade District Chatroom on Battle.net. I still remember being called "Ethereal Zod'ed Man", since my paladin had ethereal gear and they were socketed with the Zod rune so they can last forever.
I ran so many noobs through the game when I became well-endowed with my fair share of loots and experience. I got a childhood friend to play Diablo 2 and he ended up getting more into the game than I did (nah, just kidding!) but he did become a god of MF'iing and did he, ever. Stashes of Stormshields, Windforces, Shako, other great items.
I still remember him questioning why he lost to me in a Barb vs Barb duel when I let him use a Doombringer and I used ... that lightsabre or crystal sword, something like that. Skills, baby. That game was my life and I did everything I could and more to ensure that I had the upper hand in many situations, that showed my ability and dedication to the game -- it was just simply too fun.
I hope for an entry into the Diablo 3 beta so I may once again re-visit the world of Sanctuary. A new foe arises..
