posted a message on DiabloFans Calculator Build Contest (ONE POST ONLY)
What I was going for in my build is a simple Wizard build based around Arcane Orb that would get me thru most situations in PvE.

There would be changes I'd have to do from time to time of course. I'd plan on switching to Magic Missile on boss fights (unless they're very Arcane resistant of course) and can always switch out the Temporal Flux passive with Arcane Dynamo for more BOOM-tastic moments.

posted a message on What will you be listening to in Diablo 3?
I agree with your first part at least, everyone needs to enjoy the in-game music at least for one playthru of Normal. Once it starts getting repetitive though I'll switch to what I used back in the D2 days that kept me going. Lots of heavy techno and industrial rock, sprinkled with some DI radio and Pandora now and then.

posted a message on Eccentric Monk Builds
This one I believe has already been posted, but I'm gonna link it anyways :P

Basically its the Vortex build. You become a vortex that spawns extra tornados, you have an ally that is a living vortex, and you create giant vortex's. I honestly don't see this build being viable but its one I'm personally gonna try due to all the wind effects you can do. Added in a few staple moves for dmg reduction and dmg increasing, and put Wall of Light in there so I have something for single target. Will be curious to see if doing a 2H with The Guardian's Path will significantly increase the Spirit generation and will possibly swap that out accordingly. Wanted to call the build Archon Toilet but Wizard's have that ability.

Soon as I saw the Punishment option for Prep I had to start thinking about the possibilities. Then I found your post here and it gives some great ideas on some various combos to use. This is a build I'm definetly gonna try because I'm falling in love with Rapid Fire as a single target damage dealer and there's so much synergy that you can tweak with your gear that the options are left wide open instead of it being a "this is how you MUST spec it" build. Can't wait to give this a try with my DH (along with an engineer build).

posted a message on Who thinks runestones will go away?
I really hope they don't get rid of the runestones completely, but changing how they are aquired or "used" wouldn't be bad. Only problem I see is that they'd have to change your UI setup once again to accomodate a new rune bag of sorts that would hold any runes you have come across. I understand where some people are coming from saying the BoE/BoP system is too WoW'ish to incorporate into this game, but if Blizzard went along the lines of making runestones "Bind on Account" that would personally make me a happy camper. A system where any runestone I find goes into a runebag, or can be put into my stash for another one of my toons to use? Sign me up. Just please keep them away from the AH/RMAH.

posted a message on Why do *you* want to play Beta
The big reason I want to get into Beta is so I can get a feel of which class I'd rather level first. Right now I'm torn between the Demon Hunter, Monk, and Wizard. I'd like to at least figure out which class to start with so I can begin the monumental task of figuring out what sort of build I'd like to run with. Having a chance to get used to the UI and layout of the game would be nice too since it is a bit different than D2.

posted a message on DPS Meter
Some sort of Recount like DPS meter in this game just wouldn't be benefitial in a general sense. If they had some sort of dedicated area where a person could test out their talents/rotations and have a meter running in that area alone then it would be fine, but a decent chunk of this game is figuring out what works best for you thru trial and error. In the end everyone will just have to do it the old fashion way which suits me fine.

posted a message on Creating your class build - What to look out for
Anytime I've tried to make a D3 build I've looked over all the abilities for a class to find the one I want to focus around due to it being powerful or fun (hopefully both). Since this game is fully built around having a resource builder and finisher I then pick out whatever move compliments what I already chose. Since I personally will be running solo mostly I then look for 1 or 2 options that would help my survivability the best. Fill in a resource dump somewhere, then I have that one last spot open for whatever works best with that build. Don't forget to review your passive abilities as well cause you can do builds completely based on those as well.
