    Quote from Kallizk

As it stands now everyone is doing keep runs (making the place lag like crazy) cause it's easy and has alot of elites,

Please tell me how everyone doing this run is making the place lag like crazy? they are independent games and not a giant server with everyone in the same area at the same time.

Just because people list them for those prices does not mean they are really selling for that...

posted a message on Diablo III is dead.
I am in my early 40's, I played alot of Diablo on my playstation, Diablo 2 and LOD on the PC, and now alot of Diablo 3.

I remember many glitches and issues with Diablo 1. I remember alot of problems with Diablo 2 and LOD in the periods after the launches, and I remember alot of patching and tweaking to make them the game that lasted as long as it did, even then, they kept changing and adding things into the game for many years after the intial releases.

Diablo 3 is by far the most polished of them all, it has issues, and by all I have read, many of those issues are going to be addressed to some level in 1.0.4, and then PVP and other things to be added along with more changes in 1.1, even then there will be more issues found, and I am sure there will be many more fixes and changes down the road.

Investors dont care about current players in a non-mmo game. other than possible RMAH profits, current players dont make investors money.

Any patching is on the Bnet side, hopefully it helps with the bots and lag issues.

posted a message on Maintenance "tomorrow"
Your right, it hasnt been EVERY tuesday, there was the one week where they did it on a Wednesday, and maybe one or 2 other weeks where they didn't do it. But it all practicality, you can assume that it will be on Tuesday, and be surprised if it isn't.

Yes, they could put it in breaking news and i agree with that, but to say that they dont give any notice on it, is completely wrong as well, plenty of posts about it here, and on the Battle.net forums/blue trackers as well.

Items stats are rolled on when they drop, the identify process is just unwrapping the present.

edit- It really gives you a chance to get your hopes up that you may get a good item when you ID it, only to have it crushed. It also lets you get all pumped up when you finally get a decent roll... like a weapon I sold for $60 yesterday...

posted a message on Unscheduled scheduled maintenance?
It may not be an MMO, but in reality with the volumes of players, the sheer number of games played a day, RMAH tie-in, cross chats, etc, its really similar in the server array needed to run it... so its very easy to see it needing similar regular downtime. I would guess that once everything gets ironed out, it will be an every 2 week schedule.

I remember reading a post on this before the weekend somewhere, that said it was going to happen. Also, Tuesdays have been a consistent Maintenece day with the exception of one Wednesday since the game released.

Its just like blaming Microsoft for the security issues... when you have thousands of the best hackers going over ever bit of code to find exploits and issues, they will find them no matter how good you are. People say Macs are "more secure" and dont get viruses, actually Macs are less popular and have less to gain for the hackers/criminals to put their time and effort into finding the flaws.

d3 has the impending RMAH, which is a big carrot to throw in front of people.... which is why they are pushing to find all the exploits and ways to do things, the quicker they find them, the better chance they have to make real money.
