ruksak posted a message on Explanation Please - Why is Everything Account Bound? They need to make all items BoA, like now.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Blizzard has effectively killed off the rares, making them (yet again) nothing but trash to lug around and destroy for materials. Just go ahead and make rares BoA as well, please. The strategy of Legendary items being the only BoA is having a devastating affect on the other item types, as they [rares] are being purposefully gimped to prevent them from having any real money value.
And so we see here, BoA is actually making the loot worse, despite the affects such practices have on 3rd party transactions. This is not good for the player. I accept BoA, now....don't let BoA limit the item types. -

Zero(pS) posted a message on Blizzard Diablo 3 SurveyTo the people reporting this, the guy isn't asking for anyone to click a suspicious link, he's just pointing out the he received an e-mail asking for feedback.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
The links posted in the op (which have been removed now, and kept as just "text") are links to send an e-mail to a specific address (which couldn't possibly scam anyone) and a legit BNet EU address.
If you wanna discuss whether this is legit or not, feel free to do it. Let's just not make a mountain out of a molehill. -

It most certainly doesn't look like you were anywhere near forums since launch. Would you like me to link here every single suggestion thread that has been implemented in the first 5-6 patches? Even the Hellfire ring quest was based off a forum suggestion.Quote from lordpalandus
I've been on the forums since launch, I know how toxic it got after the first several months (0 to 9). I know which kind of forum posts got CM attention and which posts didn't. I remember after the first month or so it was all positive criticism. When Blizzard ignored all that, it got violent, death threats, and the whole nasty works happened. After all that hate mongering from the playerbase, Blizzard finally responded, slowly, but responded nonetheless. Blizzard hasn't been very open for a long time about which ideas they like or don't like. They didn't respond to constructive criticism only things about kittens and the like. When Jay Wilson was leaving, and Travis Day came on the scene, the whole manner in the way Blizzard operated changed drastically. Maybe it was coincidence, I dunno. Anyway, Blizzard has gone from appearing to be close-minded to very open-minded and open to suggestions. Thus why I'm giving suggestions.
They certainly ignored some suggestions. And I'm glad they did. In particular the ones which wanted arcaic systems back (stats and skill trees system back) and the removal/rework of systems which probably took months of internal testing and were at the core of the game coding (Acts/Waypoints/Quests structure, removal of NV so they could switch skills on the fly). Retarded suggestions which ignore years of game development and testing don't deserve a developers' attention.
This whole notion that "Jay Wilson wasn't listening and Travis Day is" is absolutely ludicrous. It's based off ONE public statement that they wanted feedback and that they were going to keep a lot more in touch with the community. What has been done since then? More Legendary reworks? Content/difficulty rebalancing? ? Auction House improvements? Where are the "ask the devs"? Where are the announcement of future features and changes (as they did a dozen times after release)? It's amazing how people can easily ignore such clear facts just to perpetuate a myth that they've seen other people talk about. Blows my mind. -

Do you guys honestly feel that the "satisfaction of finding your own equipment and making your own way in the game" is not undermined by $10 spent by someone who just started the game?
What you're saying is that I am crazy for not being outraged at Jaetch and that his use of the RMAH should have completely ruined my enjoyment of the game. What you're expecting me to say is "Maka, if you buy something on the RMAH then I have to quit the game because I cannot possibly enjoy it anymore" or "Bagstone, when you sold that item on the RMAH to someone you don't know it crippled my enjoyment of D3 and I think you should apologize to me."
I *might* concede that on a very broad level the RMAH could influence someone's ability to enjoy the game. But to say that your friends have destroyed your ability to play D3 and like it by spending $10 on RMAH items... that's so completey off-the-rails and sociopathic I don't even know where to begin.
Does it bother you that Barbs can farm faster than DHs? Does logging in to a DH toon make you want to hang yourself from a tree? I mean where does the blatant emo-ness end? At what point is this nothing more than a "woe is me because someone else plays the game differently from me" whinefest complete with pints of Ben & Jerrys and 15 girls all wearing their pajamas and watching The Wedding Planner for 10 hours at a time?
Your buddy spent a bit more money on his hobby. Alert CNN. This is surely groundbreaking news that will completely redefine our understanding of the world. People spend money on their hobbies. Fuckin-A.
Do you get this worked up if your neighbor decides he really likes his car but he wants a new paint job on it and sinks a couple hundred in that? Does that make you want to torch your car and walk to work? Does his extra financial commitment to the thing he likes make you unable to get in, put the key in the ignition, turn it, and drive to the grocery store without erupting in an explitive-filled tirade as if you were a Tourettes kid in a hailstorm? - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

I take it your one of those people that if you won the lottery, you'd end up bitching about the taxes you had to pay on it.
They've made huge strides in improving this game since its release and I applaud them for that, they realized they released a turd and then turned to the community for input and changes on how to fix it, and the for the most part have been very proactive at doing so. While it doesn't excuse the missteps they've made at least they admit when their wrong. I swear the community on the official forums is complete garbage, people cannot be pleased 100% of the time. I can't even go to the official bnet forums anymore because the bitching and moaning is so bad and half the time its over full retard mode type stuff.

Back to the economy part of this post, the only thing I can see going up in price are gems as they haven't said anything about a new tier of gems, just a new type of gem. So as gear is replaced..gems are bought.

Really? I'm sorry you have delusions of grandeur when it comes to playing Diablo 3 and this forum. This is a place to provide thoughtful discussions, debates, and theorycrafting for stuff about the game. This is NOT a group therapy session about problems you have with not being able to make money off the video game. You clearlyu have not being following the economy if you thought 25c per mil was the going rate, news flash it hasn't been since probably October.
This isn't somewhere you can 'lean on' because you're too inept to realize that its just a video game, it was never meant to provide you with supplemental income, this game is an outlet to have fun or blow off some free time and play. The moment you became too concerned about making money is the moment you should have stopped playing.
And yes you are 'poisoning' these forums.

It's apparent you never played diablo 1 or diablo 2 or any of the previous iterations of this game. There has never been an 'end game' because one you kill diablo..the game is over. It's a hack and slash, you just do the same thing over and over again. What more of an end game would you want, what more of an end game could you expect?
If you're going to try to make an argument at least give it something to stand on. Don't just say its crap, explain why. As far as class balance goes, they never have attempted to create perfect class balance, and its honestly not THAT bad. (QQ WW Barbs!) I'll give you that 'crafting' is crap, but its gotten better, and yes it still has a lot of room for improvement. Itemization in this game could improve, but its really only a few minor tweaks to get it where it needs to be.
