All my abilities are desgined to help me do a lot of damge to fly through the early levels. From watching all the Videos on youtube of the beta i've noticed that there is a lot of exp to be gained from chaining monsters together; With this build i want to be able to stay in battle and engaged for long durations just blowing up monsters, while having abilties that will help me keep moving which i refer to as "connecting" abilties - Like Leap and or whirlwind.

Leap: is the ability i will use to close gaps between enemie forces, While using Call of the ancients to keep the enemies off me or to keep the chain alive ( along with my follower)

Upon landing from Leap I will be taking advantage of Earthquake with the aftershocks Rune to get a heads up on the enemies i'm connecting with.

My main Damage will be from Frenzy and Whirlwind that are being runed for damage. Which will be most effective when I use Wrath of the Berserker to help sestain my buffs.

Lastly the Passive skills I picked will ensure that the abilities i choose have the best effect and most frequently; and as my theme is to be always in a giant fight with multiple mobs to keep the bonus alive i choose Brawler as one of my key passive abilties.

With this build it's great for early leveling , maybe up to hell.. however once entering hell and/or inferno I would choose more defensive/survavabilty skills.

I have a few different things mapped out on a peice of paper depending on how difficult the game really is. With the limited amount of information out so far - it's very hard to find something that you "think" works, and that "WILL" work.

I hope i get to test atleast the early skills out in the beta, with some of the runes they got, to get a better feel for how the game runs.

Frenzy- big yes and the rune choice is good.
War Cry- yes, but the rune choice is wrong. I can tell you now the majority of boss's attacks will be spells, except Butcher. So rune WC for extra HP and HP regen. HP helps against everything, spells and physical.
Ancient Spear- Dunno, never picked it in any build, picked Revenge instead, with 27% chance to proc.

Whirlwind-useless in your build. It's an aoe spell for large packs. HotA is MUCH better against a boss, pick more damage of extra loot drops, your choice.
Battle Rage- kinda underpowered and useless, WotB will be much better, should you decide to pick a skill to keep on.

Ignore Pain is good, as always if you gonna play Inferno.

All passives are good, except maybe Bloodthirst, as we do not know yet how much HP it will reward back. If 3% I'll skip it, if 10% then it seems like a must.

And the biggest problem with your build is no Threatening Shout. Its a must in Infermo I am afraid, takng half damage is crucial.

This is what i was thinking aswell, you hit the nail on the head with the whirlewind.. its design is focused on big groups of enemies, unless there are multi monsters during a boss fight that carry the same %Lv value as the boss i dont see it being effective.

Keeping your same build in mind but changing WW to make SS (Seismic Slam) or if you wish to have a bit of range which could be a benefit if a monster has an ability some what of what Baal did in D2... you could use Weapon throw?..it could help you dish out same damge from the range. Otherwise SS would be a good choice that will give you a nice weapon damage %+

Perosnaly i would use Weapon Throw, however once i run through D3 normal and understand what the boss fights will be like and what strategies might be most effective then it would be far easier to decide.. so to Theorycraft that's how i would approch it.

Other then that your post is very detaieled and this build with small pinchs of changes feels like something i would effectively use through the later levels ( NM, HELL )

This is a build around a good sustain and self healing skills.

    Neat idea;

However the only way i see a build like that working int your favor is if 1) your being fed alot of fury to keep using the abilites that give higher %life back, and 2) if your in a group that isnt built for survival but rather damage.

Without a flavor of much DPS in your build your rather to bore them to death then to kill them. My personal opinion in that build would be if you kept half of the abilites you think that would give the best life restore, and add 1 or 2 dps and 1 or 2 defensive abilties.

Atleast having 1 really hard hitting ability that could help you pound some zombies face in; to atleast break the defenses of the wave of monsters a bit...

Otherwise i would classicfy this build a really UBER tanking build.

Will this be the final patch before release date announcement? That's all I'm thinking now...

exactly. this WILL be the last MAJOR patch. they will of course patch in more bug fixes as they get closer and start mass testing more. im certain of that. cant wait to see the skill system and hear about how runes will be, im scared but happy. hopefuly they dont epic fail with the changes......

AS much as i would love to believe this i have a feeling that there will be more patchs. Take in to consideration that they've done drastic changes before and one could be expected any time. After all its blizzard, if they deam it to be importent or worth there time they will make the change even if it creates another delay, they wish to make the best game out there and frankly i want to ti be the best one possible and im sure most of the people out there do as well. We've already waited so many years what's a few months to us now?
