I can't believe how many people this is client side. Like, cmon, really? A massive spike in account hacks (complete with not discriminating against people with authenticators) happen in a 48 hour period, and you people think they are all completely unrelated user errors?
Very very very few people have said they have authenticators, and it's been happening since day one.

Who would have thought that the number of hacked accounts would increase dramatically once the game is released?

If it was server side, they would hack people in inferno, probably the ones getting world firsts, as they have the most gold/items. If it's client side, they hack the ones with no authenticators or those dumb enough to download programs that bypass them. (Very possible)

Well, if your machine is compromised, Blizzard never gets *your* data. The hackers get it by redirection, then they use it to log in. But again, that's a lot of trouble to go to when there's all those no-authenticator accounts out there ripe for the picking. Still a client-side issue, though, not server-side. The connection is only as secure as the weakest part.
I agree completely that it is a client side problem, but it has happened. I think it was an addon that had the maninthemiddle attack in it.

There's no addons for D3, so if you managed to get something like that, you would have to be trying to do something that would get you banned anyways.

As far as getting around an authenticator, it *still* requires the client to be compromised, so that the login credentials can be redirected to the hackers, and the authenticator data is used in real time.
That actually happened in WoW for a while. I think it was a DLL hooked to the exe or something.

That said, I'd suggest turning off the option so that it actually asks you to authenticate every time. I'm sure it's secure, but why risk it when it's such a minor inconvenience?

I died a bit in normal on my second play through, I tried to rush it a little too fast. I was level 4 on the skeleton king for example. (I didn't die on him though, but soon after that)

Try switching vision quest with Jungle Fortitude. After that, try and get another 4-5k HP. You don't need to lose DPS over it, you just need better items that can provide both. Also, from the build you use i presume you are having mana issues?
All WDs above level 30 have mana issues. Nearly everyone uses the vision quest build for that reason.

Why is attack speed not good? Is there confirmation somewhere that skill damage is based on weapon damage, not weapon dps?
Skill damage is based off weapon damage, cast speed is based off attack speed. Since we use mana, getting a fast weapon uses more mana to do the same dps.

Yes, and groping eels is the worst rune for that skill anyways.

Hell is really hard compared to previous difficulties. You cant just run in to a group spamming dire bats and expect to live after act 1. Also 3x Champions and Rares mess up up big time.
Which is why you use dire bats opposed to every other nuke WD has, it's the only one with range.

This is not criticism towards you (rather towards the situation itself), but I have to say that it's a bit sad that you (not YOU in particular) need to use four defensive abilities to stay alive, leaving you with only two attack spells.
What else would you use? This goes for every class.

Every class has a cheap/generator skill. You cast it whenever your big spell can't be cast.
Every class has a big spell. You cast this all the time.

You don't have time to cast a third spell, unless it's some kind of dot or a buff (Most buffs are defensive though)

posted a message on Inferno Group Spec'ing
For grouping (Not inferno, so take it however you want) I'm running a lot of minions and mass confusion. WD honestly only need 2 skills for offense and spirit walk (Because it's OP) The rest should depend on your team. A melee heavy team might not want any minions getting in the way, while a squishy team might rely on them completely.

Mana starts to be more of an issue around level 30, so you'll have to keep that in mind too.

You don't take the average like you would with other players.

A mix of both will probably be best. But yeah, +damage is king at low levels.
