If they changed some passives to provide a dot effect for other builds it would offer other elementals a chance to compete. What makes firebids awesome is that it adds a dot allowing you to kite while dealing a significant amount of dmg.
Seems to an issue with to many spells and effects on screen. They should dumb down the effects of all spells and effects that are not your own, a similar change to what they did with pets belonging to other players.
we often play 2 wizards, monk, barb and experience this lag issue. It does not occur all the time but randomly. It is some combination with wizards, mobs, map and the dot.
I think with this change they should now increase the limit to 1000 shards. This would make it a bit more fun when spending all your shards on amulets.
I thought the legendary chance was probably too high already, and now they've made it give even more legendaries per shard. Oh well, I guess it just cements that the only sensible thing to do is grind rifts for blood shards. Bit of a shame when there's so much more to the game.
it is an illusion of having multiple things you could do in game. In reality they subtly force you to play the content they want you to.
I am keen to try this change out, I have been trying to get legendary gloves (firebirds / magefists) from Kadala since 2.1 and have mainly been getting st andrews, gladiator gaunt. If all else fails, with this change I will be disenchanting much more of these gloves.
Think people should keep in mind that diablo 3 is listed and marketed as a multi player game.
If you wanna play solo that your choice but if you lose benefits doing that, its because the game isnt ment to be played solo - it just has the capacity to be played solo.
Also if someone can complete a greater rift on X diffculty solo, they should be able to get keystone themselves if they wanted as trial is far easier.
This is not true. The trials is not a reflection of greater rifts and rewards a certain style of game play and gear. While I feel the OP is moaning like the rest of you, it is not fair to judge his experience over your own. His definition of solo play is for it to be complete "solo" which is fair.
Blizzard should change the trial system, it is not really an enjoyable system.
Maximize damage especially with a non-fire element. Vitality or any kind of Toughness is obsolete in higher GR groups beyond 43/44. It does not matter if you get one-shot with 500k or 250k life.
I thought the element damage type does not matter anymore and cannot trigger and any elemental procs?
I really need to make a video of this one of these days. Firebird is a true L2P kind of build. Sometimes it's just better to see it in action.
Couple questions:
Does placing Hydra further away from the target increase Hydra damage (a la Zei's?)
Why do I see (presumably) solo wizards using Conflagerate? As far as I know, it does not affect blizzard, Hydra, OR Firebird DoT.
What do you think of Dominance as a Passive?
Interesting question, I was wondering about Conflagerate as well. It would be awesome if it placed a sort of debuff on the minion.

A furnace finally dropped for me, the damage roll is low, the int roll is low and it has CDR. I have no idea what to reroll! I have a ramas gift ready.
Exactly, i would not mind if firebird was the top build for 41/42, but the other builds could go to 38/39, but that's not the case, atm firebird goes almost 10 lvls higher.
