Paragon levels will not be reset, and it is confirmed.

also, what happens to the people who've already leveled up in Paragon?
@peli_can_flip Bonuses are retroactive. I.E. If you have two p100 heroes right now, the current plan is that you'd have 200 points in ROS. (Twitter)

I hope it will not be released. It will be mandatory to level up all chars whatever you choose, fill all slots of chars you have and play SOOOO much with all of them to get maximum points (and that will be the main target for every player). As far as i know Blizzard always tries to get away from "manadatory stuff". So I feel they will change thier mind and make another change in that aspect of paragon 2.0

I am wondering what builds are you guys using to get through normal, nightmare and hell. Why do you think your particular build is most effective for one of these difficulties?

I personally think this build is decent for single target DPS and AoE. There are only 2 things I would like to change:
1)Hex to Spirit Walk with Honored guest rune for mana regen every 15 seconds and a perfect escape ability for tough situations
    2) Rune on Garg to Big Stinker to make sure monsters he tanks have their dmg reduced for additional 20% by Bad Medicine passive

I will use same build for my WD with changes I listed. Nice job and very smart choice of skills.

well the point of the thread is a level 30 build, big stinker requires level 48...but i could see swapping hex for Spirit walk: Honored guest, i just like the idea of the heal that is cast. sounds pretty beneficial.

as for keeping bad medicine up, the rabid dogs and poision dart and uhhhh...locust swarm take care of that :)
    but thanks for the feedback.
I think it will work for level 48 with the big stinker, and i definetly thought of that!!! So good job!
Well yes, the rune you chose for your Garg is the best for lvl 30 build. Regarding healing through hex i can say that if you fast enough with SW then you won't take damage you need to heal fast...

    WD max survival build.

    Actives:

Poison Dart (Splinters): Single target spammable ability with debuff for - 20% of the enemy's damage (bad medicine passive) and 210% weapon dmg also

Locust Swarm (Pestilence): AoE spell for -20% debuff of the enemy's damage with a possability to spread across the pack of the monster faster with that rune.

Spirit Walk (Honored Guest): Escape ability combined with mana regen (30% of mana every 15 seconds). Main mana regen in my build.

Grasp of the dead (Groping eels): Control/DMG ability (416% weapon dmg over 8 seconds and 60% slow). Combined with Locust Swarm it becomes a deadly combo for any group of monsters.

Summon Zombie Dogs (Rabid Dogs): Tanks with DOT dmg as poison for -20% enemy's damage debuff (synergy with Bad Medicine passive)

Gargantuan (Big Stinker): Main tank with poison cloud around for -20% enemy's damage debuff (synergy with Bad Medicine passive)

    Passive:

Jungle Fortitude: -20% dmg for me and my pets, obvious choice for a max survival build.
Bad Medicine: -20% dmg from my poison attacks (Poison dart and Locust Swarm) and from rune effects of my pets. -36% dmg in total.
Zombie Handler: 4 Dogs = more mobs are tanked and more debuff from Bad Medicine through rune effect spread and +20% HP for Dogs and Gargantuan to maximize their survivability.

    Tnx for reading.

As u can see at 1st post, we already have 3 persons and we need the last one for componate group or if u can't play with us (since 21:00-24:00 +3GMT) we should look a any person for klass Monk/WD or would play in team 3 persons
We also don't had an Beta-key for D3 and we also waiting release.

Omg Subara stop this pro english, i beg you=) Well if you live in EU and i suppose your time is +1 GMT, then our, lets call it, "Raid time" begins at 7-00 pm for you and at 9-00 pm for us. So no problem with it. We don't need you to play alot, we won't play every day cuz we have families and we have to spend some time with them. Dunno about Subara, he is freaking "game boy" type of person, but anyway, you are free to do solo and farm some gear gold if you need, to best your specc and learn how to deal with different situations. We expect to play as a team about 3-4 times per week and mostly on weekend. So you won't need to play alot, just be in time, be pro, be patient.
I want to ask a question and want to get a simple answer: how old are you?

Hi there! I am in a team with Subara as a demon hunter and will use a skill build linked below in my sig. Also we made skill build for Barbarian Tank: http://eu.battle.net...dbUP!bVS!bZbZYc

We can offer you those builds for WD considering you to play as a Buff/debuff part of our team. so we made 2 builds for you so you can choose:
    1) http://eu.battle.net...eYbh!adW!bYcZcc
Pets there for taking those mobs that couldn't be taunted by Barb and also debuff for -30% dmg and - 20% dmg for you and your pets. Pets with poison runes cuz it is the best synergy with Bad medicine. Poison dart as a free spammable spell and Locust for aoe debuff and more dmg from you. Horrify is an obvious choice.

    2) http://eu.battle.net...eYdQ!Ydi!bYcZbZ
Pure buffer and debuffer. 1st 4 skills the same and we only adding Hex for heal and control and BBV for burst dmg when needed. Lowering your CD on hex and BBV for even more buff/debuff purpose of the build. And ofc spiritual attunement for mana regen obviously.

Valenir, I'd stay away from making big bad voodoo your mana regen ability, at least until you have an absurdly large mana pool. Big bad voodoo is a 2 min cooldown ability by default, 1.5 minute cooldown with the passive tribal rites. I'd leave big bad voodoo with its crimson rune and put a golden one in haunt instead. Yes that means you're going to have a much smaller burst potential, but your build really does lean more towards a group buff & farming boss/rares build. I say that because you have two 2 minute cooldown abilities that until inferno mode, you probably won't be able to pop at every pack of enemies or even every other pack. They also both work best when used together, and so it's kinda like an all in heavy burst build for bosses or even pvp.
Just my thoughts though, feel free to ignore them if it pleases you.

There is already Crimson Big Bad Voodoo btw. And also do you think you will go oom with 177 mana cost of Haunt (even if you'll spam it) and 89 mana cost of GotD? Doubt it. I agree it is more burst dmg build and it can be used on hard packs and bosses. Gear up abit for mana regen and mana pool (to compesate even so low mana cost of active spells) and rest for intelligence for more dmg. That's the main idea of the build: more dmg from 2 skills you have, dogs and grag are tanking and use Fetish army with BBV to for burst, hard packs and bosses.

WD is a summoner yes, but different from Necro playstyle, philosophy. He is absolutly different idea of the summoner class and but still a summoner as Necro. If you want i'll use metaphora: they live on the same street but in different houses.

posted a message on Is a pet build viable?
Pet builds are gonna be the one of the most popular WD builds. Can't understand ppl who gonna try to play WD without pets. For me Dogs+Garg are must have skills for any WD. Actually 3 skill for me are mandatory:Dogs, garg and GotD. Other 3 skills determine your playstyle.

This build I gonna try: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/witch-doctor#cYbhQP!aWi!aZacZa

Hope it is gonna be viable on higher difficulties than normal but i reallu doubt it because there is no escape skill like Spirit Walk and no mana regen. I could use Big Bad Voodoo as a mana regen ability with proper runestone but then it loses the full power of the skill.

So my conclusion: pet builds are viable but untill you realize that you could use skill slots more effective and become more active in fight=>everything would depend of you and not of NPC.

posted a message on WD without pets
Summons are the part of WD playstyle. You can skip them but as someone said here already you will have hard times in most of situations. When Blizzards were presenting the DH class as fifth one they were talking about archtypes of classes. One of them was a "Summoner" and as far as we know only 1 class can be considered as a summoner.I don't think any of those who have chosen WD without pets is gonna progress far through the game on higher difficulties than normal. Excuse me my pessimism. And what's the point playing ranged caster with ability to protect himself with summons and not use it? Play a Wizard then. Yes I know Blizzard was talking about VIABLE builds, and yes I agree, almost all builds i've ever seen on this site and many others are viable. But you know what, you won't progress futher at some point of the game on difficulty higher than normal I believe. All those petless WDs will be forced to call their minions for help.

    No offense, just IMO
