this is random, so here's the place i guess. if there's anyone left that needs a firefall beta key, i have 2 they just gave me and i'd rather give them to the d3 community than some random on the firefall boards. something to do until 1.0.4. just let me know.
Go into a coma for a few months and now the world is upside down, diablo 3 forum complaints rain from the sky, and I haven't even installed the game yet!
Would anyone like to give me the cliff-notes here?
first of all, auto +1 for best signature ever, i suspect that's how future kids will learn history. as to OP, as stated, everyone basically plays this 'terrible' game all day, and then when they're forced to go to work on zero sleep, they spend all day crying about how much it sucks. my personal favorites are people getting refunds with 60+ hours of play time.
I really dont understand the logic behind this. If the ability was hitting one target multiple times. i thought it was implied that it depended on the mass fo the target. Smaller target less procs and so forth. Would had been better to increase the cost of the ability to leverage the damage output. I feel sometimes that the developers tasked with implementing the skills were working independently per skill for them not to see this coming. A proper alpha and beta would had revealed this. Maybe next time Blizz.
Notice the "nerf" as in the "bug fix" section? I don't think blizzard intended it to hit multiple times. It's the counter part to lightning ... it hits harder ... it heals ... and it still might be viable. I personally hated losing the *range* of the lightning, but I liked the heal. I am thinking I am going to keep this as an option.
wow, it took 6 pages to finally find the right answer. while it certainly is a nerf, this wasn't the skill balance patch. the skill wasn't performing as intended, so they fixed it. once they've got all the skills working correctly, they can actually get down to balancing them.
appreciate the lack of rage; makes it easier to not instant eyeroll like many recent posts. i'm ?lucky? enough to not have had a ton of time to level chars, so i'm still enjoying myself in hell, where the game balance is pretty sweet imho, but i'm definitely waiting for 1.0.3 to do a bunch of stuff like level blacksmith, craft gems (i dunno why, but i'm the biggest sucker for combining gems in arpgs), etc. so i can sympathize. i'm hoping to hit inferno right as they fix a bunch of stuff, to avoid a lot of frustration. again, +1 for keeping it constructive.
edit - and still psyched about pvp in the near future, i think it was originally supposed to be a big distraction when we got frustrated with difficulty, and the lack of it really hurt when people hit inferno.
I can tell by the fact that you created your account on Diablo Fans just to post this, and by the fact that you called Blizzard Nazis and conjectured that you'd have to perform fellatio on them to get back on the forums that you're an immature little shit who doesn't belong here or anywhere else for that matter.
Get the fuck out.
wish we could automatically paste this response every time a new troll gets banned from bnet and needs to find a new home. if you look around the room and can't pick out the asshole, it's probably you.
sorry in advance for not having the link, but there was a blue post or a jay wilson tweet a while back about this. basically you aren't supposed to be able to avoid all attacks by your movement, because it opened up a lot of cheesy tactics that they didn't like. so for a lot of melee mobs, if you're within range when their animation starts, even if you move away, the attack will still count against you.
my DH was demolishing everything until i got to belial, got one-shot 6 times in his 2nd phase, and realized i had been stacking dex, gold and magic find %100 of the time. added some +vit, and switched my quiver for a shield. took longer, but much less squishy.
good to know. my aunt does IT for a hospital in michigan, and she tells me crazy stories about the stuff they catch people doing/looking at. luckily i work at a small medical office where i am without exaggeration the only computer literate person, and if there is IT work to be done, they make me do it.. heck, at least im not looking at porn, but i suppose to the non-fan, a stream of D3 might look pretty out there.

same. i found a legendary 1h axe outside of leoric's mansion. luck of the draw i guess, would have liked to save it for a lvl. 60 though.

lol i know. slight exaggeration i guess, unlikely that i'd get fired for that. besides, my surreptitious surfing skills are inferno-level good.
