    Yes indeed. Kinda makes sense, getting items out of the economy in this way.

    Reforging an item causes it to become BoA, getting items out of the economy in that way.

    Blizzard sure is slow to develop things eh? No real new content to speak of but changes to a system. How come other companies dish out updates in a better fashion than the biggest one of them all? I'd bet their code is so difficult to deal with that making any changes takes more work then it is suppose to. They should know by now that re-configuring systems is almost a must because of the changing nature of gamers and how off base blizzard nowadays.
    Lots of companies can dish out more updates but it doesnt always means its more polished or better. Theres a new Call of Duty every 6 months, which generally reuse almost everything. Diablo 3 may not have been the greatest at launch, but in general, Blizzard is known (and got big to begin with) because they may be slow, but they bring really polished stuff to the table.

    That high light reel actually makes me want to stay far away from D3 on console, if that's representative of people Blizzard wants as their target audience, I might as well never play a blizzard title again.

    By those standsards, you should never watch or go to PAX East or PAX Prime because they're representative of the people that runs it.

    Love it!

    Yep. Thanks to Blizzard publishing their hashing function, saves can be edited arbitrarily, and with their tacit approval!

    Blizzard OBVIOUSLY saves in a easy-to-read format such as

    Character.ini
    [Stats]
    Strength=76
    Dexterity=123
    Intelligence=2237
    Vitality=997

    And you would be crazy to think otherwise.

    On the other hand, we already knew this was going to happen, that's the main reason they didnt allow offline play on PC. Because they knew if they saved characters in files, there would be trainers on the second week of release. I know that the first think i thought when they announced Offline mode was "Well, console is going to be a hackfest"

    bull-honkey. 12 million people did not PURCHASE a copy, MILLIONS of owners got their copy FREE from the AP.
    every time i see this quote i lose a little more respect for the company.

    Not even 2 millions got the AP (the first day sales are 3.5 millions and that includes ALL the AP plus pre-orders), so the plural isn't really needed.

    1.2 million to be exact. That leaves 10.8 millions that bought it for a napkin math revenue of $648 millions, also, with the state of WoW at the time, i know quite a few people who stopped playing WoW in about 4 to 5 months into the AP and didnt even pick up MoP but still pay for WoW...
    Instead of paying for D3 at $60, they chose to give $180 to blizzard for a gave they stopped playing 3 months in so we cant really say those guys dont count. They gave lots of money to Blizzard.

    Saying the AP users dont count in the D3 users is like saying that people who didnt buy skins in League of Legends shouldnt count toward their "30 million users". They werent a wasted/lost sale.

    People can make a demo video of current D3 and people without any D3 knowledge would be like "wow, this game has so much potential and its so great in every aspect"

    But that's kind of the point of demo videos, you can hype it up like crazy, while at the same time hiding all the flaws it contains.

    It already does. Straight damage effect weapon attack speed builds more than Crit Damage. The problem right now is that the damage is so laughable (+40 damage) that its pointless.

    How to combat bots (And account sharers) with a simple check (Modified for readability)
    1.)

    UPDATE ACCOUNTS
    SET Banned = 1
    WHERE
    LoggedInGame = "Diablo 3"
    AND LoggedInGame = "World Of Warcraft"
    AND Diablo3.TimeFromLastAction < Seconds(5)
    AND WorldOfWarcraft.TimeFromLastAction < Seconds(5)

    2.)
    UPDATE ACCOUNTS
    SET Banned = 1
    WHERE Diablo3.LoggedInSessionDuration > Hours(500)
    AND LongestIdleTimeSinceSessionStart < Seconds(5)

    To Paraphrase Kripparian:

    "I know people who are so pro, they can grind A3 Inferno whilst raiding in WoW!"

    I have two monitors, on one, World of Warcraft is up, on the second Diablo 3 is up. In fact, WoW is up all day, regardless of what i'm doing, just so i can keep WoW up as a giant chat program if nothing else.

    The other day i was doing dailies with a tank friend, he would round up things and i would cast a Blizzard that lasts 8 second (of which you are considered active all 8 seconds). Meanwhile, i would slide my mouse to the D3 side of things, where i was in a MP2 "Public Game" (aka: I joined two other people from General Chat) and i could keep up and kill stuff, while always making sure to cast 1 spell every 8 seconds in wow.

    ...It's probably not something i'll do again because it was pretty crazy. But having both up and doing an action in both under 5 seconds is DEFINITELY something that happens often. And i never bot. The only thing it takes would be to play d3, reply to one line of text in wow and continue d3 to get banned under your "system".

    TL;DR: People can have multiple monitors.

    Quote from raidenurogue

    Eh, the first playthrough of D3 isn't that bad, the story isn't the best though. I can't honestly see it beating skyrim or dark souls, though. I think I got more hours of entertainment from skyrim and even if dark souls did kill my 360 when I was playing it soon after it came out (bad microsoft hardware was the real problem). It seemed like a wonderful balance of difficulty that could be overcome with skill, rather than cheap difficulty that comes from just doubling numbers.

    Cant see it beating Skyrim or Dark Souls...
    Well, how can they be Game of the Year if they released -last year- ?

    Also, who knows if Dark Souls didnt double up the numbers? I bet you wouldnt be saying it was cheap difficulty if Blizzard didnt tell you how the development of their game went. That's why other companies dont do it, so you cant bitch at them for all the shortcuts they take. ALL COMPANIES takes shortcuts, no exception.

    Thanks for the quick replies, and that is just stupid op.

    People really want to feel overpowered in this genre apparently, they're not looking for any kind of difficulty UNLESS it's self-imposed difficulty.
    I'm okay with that tbh, the earlier iterations of Inferno proves that "challenging" doesnt have its place because it feels too much brickwall to bother playing.

    After the patch, on MP1, the Item Level on the item will determine the base damage (DPS) of weapons, and base armor value of items. The rest will be affixes that can roll on 63s (ie: 70-80 all resist, instead of 50-60)

    This also means there's absolutely no difference between 58 to 62 rings. as they all roll at the 63 level. Which means you can now have rings that rolls 5 to 6% Crit Chance, and 35 to 50 Crit Damage. As opposed to being capped at 4.5% Crit, 34% Damage.

    It is getting annoying now. Why do people complain all the time, i just dont get it?

    #0 So, you got 170 MF. Congrats. That is nothing and you expect everything. I know your feeling to be honest, but you dont find any solution. Go get more MF, farm faster and be better.
    I rather prefer a community playing the game, instead of criticizing it. This community tends to fail and expects a solution from the developers, instead of finding a solution.

    I run around with 400MF level 65 paragon. I got about 40 brimstones and they are from the legendaries i couldnt sell(above iLvl 60). Yet, i dont get legendaries every game. On avg. i have to play like 2 hours to find a legendary/set and im pretty fast on the clearing.

    Here is my wisdom: do not focus on farming items, just focus on leveling paragons! You will find your legendary/set. Do not complain, just focus on your leveling. You do not need to break every barrel you find(actually just stop it), instead be very fast and efficient.

    Oh please, tell us more how much real money you "invested" in your character, or, how much time it took you to do that.

    Oh, and btw, there is no wisdom, is just time/money.

    Real money? You know its not about using real money. What kind of argument is that?

    If people who tend to whine, had enough money, do you really think, they got what it takes? I mean, they dont even search for any solution, how should they be efficient? It's all about giving what it takes and this makes the difference. This is why, people who are streaming, are much better than others, not because they use money, but they know what they are doing. And yes, time is money - why waste it?

    I'm sorry to disappoint you, but there is no "wisdom" or "knowing" in this game, it is all about how good is your gear, that translates into:

    1- a high MF
    2- killing speed.

    Period. If you want to feel like you are doing things right, good for you, but its only about time/money. Those are the real variables in this game.

    Ppl claiming that they are "good", or "skilled".. cut the crap, there is no such thing, of course you could be better at kiting, you can understand what build is better for your items, but at the end of the day, all of that is reduced to a binary gear check.

    The only skill that I can see in this game, would be the PvP, and only when you compare 2 players with same stats (gear/level/etc) and most important, the same delay. Its completely different to be playing this game with 200+ ms all the time (my case) than rather playing it at 50- ms (US players).

    Your argument is flawed due to people clearing the game with a 300k challenge or otherwise really low gear compared to other people that needs higher gear to do the same thing.

    Yes. Skill exists in everything. Anyone saying otherwise is trying to be an elitist or flex their epeen for retarded reasons.

    Yeah I dont understand the logic behind MP1+ games being solo only, given that Blizz has recently provided incentives to join public games.

    You can do MP1+ with friends. You cant do MP10 with total strangers because they fear that low-geared scrubs will just pick MP10 all the time in hope of joining a game where someone can carry their sorry ass at the cost of making everything takes 2 hours to kill.
