posted a message on Fun.. But it doesn't feel like Diablo.
    Quote from Boomtastic

Only thing I wish they would have brought to D3 was runewords with +skills from other classes. That alone is what made D2 so great IMO. So many different character builds from other characters skills from items. Otherwise D3 is awesome.

I dont want runewords to be back personally, they were just either useless or amazingly ahead of everything else. Also, the whole finding magical and rare artifacts falls flat on its face when what you really really want is a WHITE 4 socketed piece.

The oskill thing was pretty interesting, but it may be nice to have around, but only on a select few legendaries. And they need to keep features for expansions

you'll still get one free BattleTag change

ffs, what a pathetic little company Blizzard has become. Another way to charge you to change 15 characters in a database.
A free way is a way for them to charge you?

Actually the fact that they will even let you have any means (even if its paid) to change it is good. Though we have no confirmation on how much it will cost. How many games let you change your username after its made? not that many

who much does blizz pay you?

Because Blizzard totally need to pay people to use common sense on the internet while not spewing blind hatred for their company.

If that happened, it would be the easiest possible way to make money.

    Quote from PantheraOnca

What does D3 have that it has copied from WoW that was a uniquely WoW characteristic (i.e. something that WoW did that hadn't been done before)?

Considering WoW hasnt done anything on its own, and instead just focus on having better implementation / polishing features that were in other games, this will be hard to do.

Cant believe he tried to pass achievements as something wow created.

Bosses in Diablo 2 regenerated their health. I don't see why they wouldnt in D3.
Then again, there was an attribute called "Prevent Monster Heal" in Diablo 2 that we havent seen yet, but it was something that only appeared on uniques and sets, that we have no information about.

I'm amazed NO ONE in this thread, despite the countless references to D2.

Who is to say they wont have 1-20 Normal, 20-40 Nightmare, 40-60 Hell, 61 Inferno for current D3.
Then expansion launch, you have to convert your toon into an expansion toon. Then you have more content, and it goes 1-23, 23-46, 46-70, 71 inferno

Also, whoever thought RMAH meant free expansion. Say that to WoW, $15/month and expansions STILL costs 60.

posted a message on Top 10 Reasons Diablo 3 Sucks
I have a feeling this perception that "Diablo 3 sucks because it's not Diablo 2" is because of today's generation and somewhat, because of companies like Activision driving franchises to the ground with sequels.

There's next to no changes between MW2 and MW3. So they expect "The new one is supposed to be the same thing with better graphics!"

And that's just not how video games works in general.

Loves how the guy went "Man, your build sucks, you're thinking normal at best, MINE ARE FOR INFERNOS"
And then goes on to link builds so broken, i have a feeling they wouldnt even go through normal...

You may think generators are lame for only generating a small amount, but that's not their true strength: It lies in the fact that they are FREE to cast.
Basically, like Antirepublican posted, your hatred per second is CRAZY, so what are you going to do while it regenerating, you're going to be doing melee attacks. Might as well use the Bola Generator that deals 130% damage and also explode for when you're out of hatred (which is often).

@OP: Build seems nice. Wish ya luck.

posted a message on NEW Skill/Rune System - Feedback
Black text on Black background is bad, mkay?

Edit: Well that seems fixed now :P

Alright, now to get some of my thoughts on those:

Your first "bad" point is that by leveling, you get to points where some abilities have runes, and other doesnt and you feel forced to use the one with the rune. I totally understand this point.

Your second bad point, you're basically saying that you wish they went in a direction that basically contradict the first reason you hate this new system.
If i had a Level 7 Rune drop for an ability i dont like, and i only found level 4 runes for abilities i DO like, i'd feel forced to use those abilities instead.

Your third bad point is moot. So far, they tried to get AWAY from build commitment as far as they could, and they blantently said that years ago. You identify yourself a build by using it alot, and the current system allows that.

The whole skill point to let you choose which ability you want runed first is kinda interesting, but i personally dont like it, i find its just a layer added for nothing and gets you back to your first bad point that basically says someone wouldnt use an ability if another ability had 6 runes and that one had none.
The idea of saving 2-3 skill builds is bad. like. really really bad. They want people to customize as mch as they want, WHEN they want.

On the whole "I feel like a class with a pool of abilities", that's the intent. You're supposed to roll a WIZARD. Not a Shock Wizard. You may play mainly with Shock Pulse, and that's your thing, fine, but you're a Wizard harry.

posted a message on Cow level in Diablo 3?
    Quote from Enkeria

    Timeline

Diablo 3 "A dark and gritty place in sanctuary" A picture reveals a rainbow in a far distance in some enviroments of Diablo 3.

A more colorful palette is featured in Diablo 3, people scream "its wow!".

"Too much color" spawns the t-shirt with ponies and rainbows, just for giggles.

People starting to think that it would be cool to slay ponies, "what if that is the secret cow level for D3? A secret ponie level?"

Datamined information then reveal codewords named "ponies" etc. People continue to talk about this.

Pots of skulls in the end of the RAINBOW showed on Blizzcon, just for fun. Same goes with a purple rabbit icon.

Many fans are argue about having cows and/or ponies or nothing at all.

There is no cow level tribute goes live on the battle.net with secret code that unlock "Nyan Cow".

Datamined profiles saying "ponies" are stated for sure that they are just codewords, no actual evidence of an actual cow-level and/or pony-level have bin acknowledged.

Don't forget, Blizzard like having lots of pop culture references in their games. Even the inclusion of this Nyan Cow code is proof of this. With MLP:FIM being a tidal wave over the internet, i wouldn't put it past them to have it be a secret pony level.
Also, the strings went on saying "Tentacle_Horse = Midnight Sparkle" so i expect to see ponies mixed with WoW's "Old Gods look", with the King and other named mobs in there being references to MLP being very much possible.

posted a message on + elemental damage items, and how they affect spells.
in Diablo 2, if it said "Add 3-10 cold damage", it would only affect melee swing, because it was melee damage + bonus cold damage.
the stats that affected cold spells were either +Cold Skill, +% Cold Skill Damage or -% Enemy Cold Resistance.
So yeah, your feeling was wrong if you thought otherwise.

On the other hand, Diablo 3 spells are based off said weapon damage, so i wouldn tknow but i would totally try if i could get into D3 Beta (I have invite, cant use Battletag)
