Oct 17, 2013Zoolandar posted a message on Announcing the DiabloFans "Site Update" Beta, Diablo 3 For PS3 and Xbox 360 GiveawayI voted for the offline mode. When I first heard that Diablo 3 would be coming to consoles I was excited by the idea of crushing some demons with my friends on the big screen. I was never truly interested in taking my console gaming onto the internet and was ecstatic to hear that it would not be required like it is for the PC. I never purchased the console version of Diablo 3 because I and my brothers all had the computer version but I could think of no better way to spend our christmas than leveling up some characters on the couch like we did with other dungeon crawlers back in the day.Posted in: News

That location sounds about right, I would definitely have absorbed that and lost its source; thank you for the clarification.

Imagine a situation where you are trucking along and you are thrashed, you die, you lose your buff. This thrashing gives you a great opportunity to adjust your skills for the situation. It is a two birds with one stone situation. You die, it resets; it is already reset so you might as well change your skill composition for what you need.
A few concerns about this idea are that you would need to adjust your build again after you overcome the situation; but in my mind I will have multiple builds for certain situations that I will be comfortable with in regular situations. It would be like switching from build A that has 2 AE abilities and 1 single target to build B that has 1 AE, 1 single target and a CC. The other three skills would be describable as staples to your play-style. In this situation you would face the thrashing with build A, die, lose your buff then change to build B, regain the buff and continue slaughtering demons with build B. If you wanted to switch back to build A, you would lose the buff.
It is an idea, I haven't put too much thought on it, but I think it is a sound explanation for wiping it on death.

I am excited to know that there will be a priest playing Diablo. I like the idea of taking the faith onto a virtual level.
(P.S. Not mocking, I think it is cool to slay the demons of hell.)
Oh, and currently I am a student planning to major in evolutionary anthropology.

I am analyzing the armor associated with my idea of the character; the barbarian armor doesn't seem, well, barbarian. It makes me think he is some kind of knight or something while I have this idea that he is a savage warrior, blood tested and brutal, not feudal answering to some lord. For that reason I think I like the demon hunter's armor the best, or rather, it fits my idea of what each character is. The demon hunter is my least favorite class definitely, but the armor is very demon hunter-esque, even if it could use a hood or something along those lines. The wizard's armor especially seems foolish with all of its ornaments and decorations; they present her like she should be hung up as a chandler creating light from arcane energy.
But I think I just dislike the images. Earning them in game and running around blowing demons up will make me love them I think.

Hmm, I definitely never thought about it from that perspective, but I am new to this whole "stalking the progress of a video game" thing; Diablo 3 has definitely brought it out of me though. And a release date would be a great way to balance out uproar from the pvp article.

The large Wow event makes me think that they wouldn't announce the release date on Monday because interest will already be towards it; rather, I imagine they would place it on a day for itself. Either way te sooner the announcement the better; my patience thins with each week.

Ah lame, but it still just feels so close.

It makes me think that Blizzard has their release date and is going to announce it to the public on Monday but they are having conferences for certain fan sites allowing interviews or the like. Or the people on the cast are just playing their silly games and we will have another one of those weekends where we truly believe Monday will yield a release date only to be disappointed later that day.

I thought the same thing, but I was mildly amused by it nevertheless.
