    In Blizzard we trust.
I heard that that phrase is printed on all Beta Bucks.

That location sounds about right, I would definitely have absorbed that and lost its source; thank you for the clarification. :)

I have a phrase I like to pretend I say to people when we are doubtful but I just quietly say to myself:

    In Blizzard we trust.

posted a message on My thoughts on the Nephalem Valor Buff
I like the idea of it wiping after death in addition to skill swapping because it creates an opportunity to skill swap.

Imagine a situation where you are trucking along and you are thrashed, you die, you lose your buff. This thrashing gives you a great opportunity to adjust your skills for the situation. It is a two birds with one stone situation. You die, it resets; it is already reset so you might as well change your skill composition for what you need.

A few concerns about this idea are that you would need to adjust your build again after you overcome the situation; but in my mind I will have multiple builds for certain situations that I will be comfortable with in regular situations. It would be like switching from build A that has 2 AE abilities and 1 single target to build B that has 1 AE, 1 single target and a CC. The other three skills would be describable as staples to your play-style. In this situation you would face the thrashing with build A, die, lose your buff then change to build B, regain the buff and continue slaughtering demons with build B. If you wanted to switch back to build A, you would lose the buff.

It is an idea, I haven't put too much thought on it, but I think it is a sound explanation for wiping it on death.

Priest and charity business owner. Can't wait to play Diablo!

I am excited to know that there will be a priest playing Diablo. I like the idea of taking the faith onto a virtual level. :P

(P.S. Not mocking, I think it is cool to slay the demons of hell.)

Oh, and currently I am a student planning to major in evolutionary anthropology.

posted a message on Argue with me; I dare you (Armor sets)
To be honest, none of these sets really appeal to me. They seem very fluffy and unpractical, hardly sexy or badass.

I am analyzing the armor associated with my idea of the character; the barbarian armor doesn't seem, well, barbarian. It makes me think he is some kind of knight or something while I have this idea that he is a savage warrior, blood tested and brutal, not feudal answering to some lord. For that reason I think I like the demon hunter's armor the best, or rather, it fits my idea of what each character is. The demon hunter is my least favorite class definitely, but the armor is very demon hunter-esque, even if it could use a hood or something along those lines. The wizard's armor especially seems foolish with all of its ornaments and decorations; they present her like she should be hung up as a chandler creating light from arcane energy.

But I think I just dislike the images. Earning them in game and running around blowing demons up will make me love them I think.

posted a message on whats next?
It definitely seems ready. In terms of everything they have discussed, they have completed each task mentioned that may or may not have been holding the game back. From tweets to blue forum posts release is definitely imminent, the game is ready unless there is some major concern that presents itself but at this point I imagine Blizzard is determined to get it out as soon as they can.

it is the wow event indeed but wow is on the edge atm and is goin down fast so i bet on they will come out with d3 release date at this event
if it comes monday (which I hope) it will have nothing to with the event, and wont happen at the event, itll happen in a press release (via the press site and the forums/blog)

The large Wow event makes me think that they wouldn't announce the release date on Monday because interest will already be towards it; rather, I imagine they would place it on a day for itself. Either way te sooner the announcement the better; my patience thins with each week.
though part of me agrees, to the regular public, there is no interest in that, as the info does not come till the week after (the 19th) due to the NDA, so next week, for "normal people" is a normal boring week.

its also good to counter that pvp article, I really have no idea anymore which week =/

Hmm, I definitely never thought about it from that perspective, but I am new to this whole "stalking the progress of a video game" thing; Diablo 3 has definitely brought it out of me though. And a release date would be a great way to balance out uproar from the pvp article.

Diablo 3 - DiabloCast Ep48: Barbarians Are OP So Deal With It (Podcast) If you forward to 1:04:30 and listen to the last 2 minutes of the clip, there might or might not be some spoilers as to a possibility of a releasedate. It's certainly up for interpretation. Could just be MoP too, but who knows.
It makes me think that Blizzard has their release date and is going to announce it to the public on Monday but they are having conferences for certain fan sites allowing interviews or the like. Or the people on the cast are just playing their silly games and we will have another one of those weekends where we truly believe Monday will yield a release date only to be disappointed later that day.
blizz indeed invited all kind of fan sites include blizzplanet and many many others for monday and the so on days for the incoming event

which is the wow event =)

Ah lame, but it still just feels so close.

Oh, Jay, how I wish I could lovingly stroke your plump cheeks, hold your head gently but firmly in my palms, lean back and headbutt you straight in the nose for all the stupid teasing you exposed us to.

    Seriously.

Oh god we need to find him and put you both in the same room.
