meh, you only have yourself s to blame for you frustrations. stop getting your hopes up. look forward to the game, hope it comes out soon. but dont be all upset when it doesnt come out when you think it should. regardless of what any of you say, the game will sell MILLIONS of copies. and very fast, and will most likely have a lot of people playing it for a long time. in 5 years people would read a thread like this and laugh at us.
calm down, go have a smoke or whatever you choose to do to relax, and stop flaming Blizzard corp or employees for your inability to separate fantasy (when you think it comes out) from reality (when it will actually come out).

but meh, nobody is going to actually listen to any suggestions anyone posts here. thats the nature of the internet i guess....

sooo... rant on my web brothers, rant on.

Except that legitimate damage is being done to their brand image and community relations. It has nothing to do with copies that will be sold, legit damage is being done right now and if you dont realize that then you are completely ignorant of marketing and PR as departments of business in general.

Damage would be done, no matter how fast they will throw out the game.
The peoples complaining on the internet, about how slow they are, is around 5% of the players who is going to play the game. The rest almost don't care, and can actually wait for the game to be released in silence.
Just because you see alot of peoples talk about it, doesn't mean it is everybody. You gotta remember lot of players don't even go to forums to complain.

I would have no problem at all if the game was released in 1, 2 or 6 months. Whats bothering me is how Jay is saying "in the coming weeks" "sign of release" "counting down the days untill release date annoucement"

Still, we gets nothing at all.

If Jay just shut the fuck up and released the game in 4 months, I would be happy.

I don’t ever post rage, nor do I involve myself in these discussions but I have to defend some of the people on the negative:

Most of the resentment stems from the trail of sour cookie crumbs being dropped by Jay and the people following the game closely are being forced to pick up and ingest,

Everything he says has allusion, and it makes a lot of the community impatient.

Change the game, delay the game, its yours to do so with as you wish, But don’t freaking lead people on with “Coming weeks” and Very soon” and “9 out of 10”…

Don’t preach to me your standards of quality, the reasons why your superior methods insure us the consumer a greater product by delaying the game and then cut pvp out of the game so you can release it!!! Don’t tell me the years of hard work making it and then cutting Death throw animations, not having the Monks combat animations complete to name a few.

Don’t say anything about release, reveal your changes keep us informed but don’t prat-on about releases until you know for a fact the release date..

And don’t shove sweet warm fancies under people’s noses only to snatch them away like a greedy little fat kid with so much cake.

This is why most people are raging.. You’ll have others that are just idiotic trolls but in general, I think these are fair reasons to be upset.

hollow wolf... i NEVER post on the forums.. i actually finally linked my curse account to this website just to post this haha... i am an avid reader however and i didnt know quite exactly why i was pissed at blizzard but you nailed it.... am i still gonna play when it comes out.. of course... however i think the people at blizzard need to check themselves and stop pretending like highschool girls....

    Excellent post. This guy understands.

If you don't feel mislead, or that blizz can do no wrong, then thats great and more power to you. But if you can't even understand why some people are reacting the way they are then you must be denser than lead.

Maybe I suffer from the tinfoil hat syndrome but I cannot help wonder if this UI change has been made in consideration for the console version.

It is so blatantly obvious that it is inferior to the old one for the PC version (regardless of what one thinks about the rune system change per se).

    ^ this.

I feel this has somthing to do with consoles as well, the whole thing stinks of console... (yeah they stink.)

I hate the new runes look... The Coloured ones looked aesthetically more pleasing also. look at the Linked skill set ups people have as there sigs with the old rune system, it just looks heaps better.

posted a message on Diablo 1 and 2 rewards for Diablo 3.
    Quote from Ukalla98

It might be a little difficult, considering, at least to my knowledge, that the collecters edition thingamabob comes with the first two games. I could be way off though, my memories kinda fuzzy.

Even then, I'm not sure what would be acceptable rewards. It wouldn't be exclusive weapons or armor, and im on the fence whether it would be a cosmetic item. People will find SOMETHING to whine about.

Collectors Edition comes with Diablo II and its expansion: Lord of Destruction. (Not Diablo 1)

On the Side note of previous games giving rewards to current players?

I expect there to be this type of thing with Easter eggs and Lore, i dont think they will be doing anything like "Guildwars: Eye of the North" and "Guild wars 2" for example.

or at the momment i dont see a reason for this, that said, anyone who has all three games activated on there battlenet getting a special AVATAR, or something on there main account wouldnt be a bad idea!

posted a message on Upping the replay value of D3
    Quote from caesar537

I keep reading posts on these forums complaining about the inability to have set builds for certain characters, how skill swapping and only needing to have 1 of each class will ruin the game. The replay value of Diablo 3 is going to be better than Diablo 2 for sure! Blizzard is obviously taking huge steps forward by implementing new ideas, and yes they are taking some ideas that have worked well in WoW and implementing them into D3. This doesn't mean that Blizz is making D3 more like WoW than D2, stop complaining and get over it WoWers, go play WoW if D3 doesn't suit your needs, it shouldn't take you an hour to ding 41 from 40, it's Diablo!

I'm excited to see the steps Blizzard takes towards upping the replay value of D3, I realize that there is no way around replaying the game as you have to play through normal, nightmare and hell with each character before getting to inferno, and then replaying basically any part of inferno you like to find loot. Item finding is obviously the core of the game, which is the best and worst part of the game.

I've always loved magic finding in D2, but I hate being limited to finding items and then building new characters based on those awesome items I've found for each class. after that, the only option is to try finding more items, or build more characters for PVP. Herein is where the problem lies, this is the main reason why I've gotten bored of Diablo 2 and LoD. What do you do when you getbored of PVP and your character(s) all geared up and then you run through the game with those new characters and items?

I loved the fact that Blizz added those new aspects of the game such as keysets, organ sets, etc. to make the game more interesting, being a "hardcore" Diablo player, I feel certain additions to the game should be made. Some of these could be added epic dungeons for inferno, new places or dungeons to explore on inferno, new bosses to defeat, rather than the same bosses with more power, health, skills, resistances and the like.

I have played WoW a bit and I'm not looking for Blizz to make the game more like WoW, but I'd love to see them add something to collect from PVP like tokens or ears as in D2, which you can trade in for different items. I'm not looking to be able to trade these in for items that would compete with legendary items, or different tiered items as you'd find in WoW, but maybe items which you are able to customize your banner, maybe different dyes to change your equipment or different types of baubles/extras.

This would be a great addition to the game, I also think it'd be nice to be able to collect certain items as this from your achievements, however trivial the items may be, it would be nice to collect these tokens or whatever from achievements like 'killing 2,500 humanoids' or 'smashing 1,000 destructibles' you would get a certain amount of tokens which you could use towards different customizable items for your classes. Some of the other ways I would like to see Blizz upping the replay value (besides the obvious expansion[s]) would be:
    • Special bosses or events added by Blizz in later patches
    • Dungeons and/or bosses exclusive to inferno
    • Achievements being worth some sort of 'token'
    • PVP kills being worth some sort of 'token'
    • Secret level(s) ie. the cow level via D2 - instead of opening a portal with trivial items, make the player have to earn a certain amount of 'tokens' or by certain items with tokens to open the portal(s)
    • New area(s) or dungeon(s) could be unlocked only after reaching level 60 and either completing a certain amount of achievements or earning a certain amount of tokens
I would just like to see Blizz include more replay value in the game than just make a build to find loot, getting loot for your different classes, then playing through the game with your new classes and loot, or just going through the whole PVP song and dance. What do you guys think of my suggestions? Do you guys have any other things to add or more suggestions as to how Blizz could increase the replay value? Lemme know, I'm just hoping to see the game have a little more depth as fare as gameplay than Diablo 2.

I actually agree with this ^_^

Especially the end game in Diablo 2.

I think your comment about allowing us to display in game items/Trinkets on our banners and characters etc is a great idea, adding to the peoples want for uniqueness.
