Great ! I've been waiting for a contest like this one, I think there no better way to receive a keys because if you think about it there is 450 key in total to give and how many member will do what they have to do to get one? Compare this to Blizzard official beta invite where there like maybe 8 millions of players waiting on a Beta acces. So here my chance to get one , I hope I can join you in the beta and finaly see how great is the game for now been reading alot on it and looks amazing.

I agree with you and totally hope you get a beta key, I believe this one post of yours is not quite what they had in mind. I only say this as I do hope you get a Beta Key. It is random from any post in the forums, however it is for the posts that attempt to stay on topic with the original post, have at least three sentences, arent just "my entry" type posts. Best to get involved in the community and spread it around if you have hopes of getting a Beta Key. Good Luck, and Happy Posting!!

posted a message on NEW small idea: Gladiator Mode
Ok, so Maybe I am not understanding this.... Is it you sign up for the tournament, then you have 1 month to level your toon.
Possibly all different levels of toon. However, the issue I have is that people will say wow I only made level 40 and there is a 45... Im droppin out.

For this to be able to work, it would have to be that when you sign up you are commiting to it within the system. The toon would level only in single player mode upon creating a tourney character, and be restricted from AH use. The day of the tournament, toons that are "tourney" tagged who are online are sorted into brackets and launched into matches until a Champion is crowned!!

Those "tourney" toons not online .... Die as if they lost the tourney. 1 Winner left standing at the end. Championed and automatically entered into the following months tournament, returned to a level 1 character. However for winning they get to keep 1 item from there previous toon to carry forward to the next level 1 toon. Names immortalized in the Scroll of Champions upon the Victors inevitable demise, indicating how many Tournaments they won before being brutally dispatched.

    Thoughts?

I agree with what most of the people are saying about it being a good change, however not for the same reasons.
I am of the mindset that an Epic Boss should drop the best items in the game.
However, this change allows it that you end up with the waypoint system being able to be used the way it is.
If it was all about boss runs, people would just hop in a game in progress, hop the waypoint, get the quick boss kill and moved on.
This way allows groups the ability to focus on quickly clearing chunks of content for loot drops, promoting that aspect of the game.

    Overall, Good Change.

    Well.....

As Far as Beveraes go .... You must stick with the gaming staple - Mounatin Dew!!

As far as snacks go I prefer Cheese, sometimes with crackers .... other times straight off the block.

Though I am a big fan of the Baby Swiss and Colby versions of Cheez-It's.

One side note though .... there is a Burrito place right next to my local Gamestop that has a dude stay open for midnight releases of games selling "survival kits". Boxes with 20 Burrito's!! To get ya through the first day. :)

    Great Idea I thought!!

    Great topic!!

true BUT in D3 there will be no immunes so focusing on one element doesnt severely gimp you like it did in D2. it just takes a little longer to kill those specific enchanted monsters

Hehe ok I'm reading every news which are related to D3 but that one I must have miss , cuz didn't know that ^^, but I still would like to have possibility to change some biuld or atleast to runes be conected to skill in that way so U would lose them when changing skill, so when u change skillback u have old rune in it, eg. hungering arrow with crimson rune -> multishot -> hungering arrow with the old crimson rune in it

That is similar to an idea I had with the rune system, though I am sure the Devs have a system well thought out and mostly implemented by this point.

I was thinking that your spellbook should be an item in your inventory screen (Like the Cauldron and Cube)
You apply Runestones to the Book itself (Like socketing a piece of armor) then beside the rune the name of the skill is scribed.
Thus when you scribe a new skill beside a rune it would have the rune there already.

So basically you can have a spell book with 6 runes it, for example 3 white and 3 red. You could then remove the six skills and apply new ones into the book next to the rune you want them to use. If you wanted to then remove a red and put a black? That would have to be done at the altar and you would lose the red in the process.

For a bit of polish, and my previously mentioned timer needed for in the field use, you could have a quill scribe the name of the skill into the book and glowing light come from the ink in the color of the rune for that particular skill.

I am thinking though that the change to make you go to an alter to switch your skills is slightly backstepping.

The Devs have said that they want you to not have to run back to town as much, hence the new and improved cauldron and cube.

However you have to go to town to switch your skills?

Whilst I agree with not allowing this during combat, there most definately should be a way to do this in the field. Much like wow's switch spec has a "cast" timer on it. Possibly you can recommit your current skill list to memory, or something to that affect.
Make it take as long as it does to use the stone of recall, so it is not feasible in combat. But not require a venture back to town.

    Just my opinion, of course.

Decent in average for PvE but it would be boring and not efficient for boss fight. You will have to cast haunt every 3 sec and wait until another haunt and revive your pets between haunts.

I was thinking that .... what about running Gargantuan as Restless Giant? That would certainly up your Boss killing power.

Also it is once per 20 seconds re-uping Barrage Haunt as necessary on multiple targets and the once a minute rotation which bleeds in as well.

With the dogs, I guess if they are living well enough you can light them on fire as well for more damage.

While I do anticipate this build not being very interactive, I am hoping it is both bursty enough, and allows me free room to run a bit.
Boss killing being the weakness it would appear. More of a farming build I think.

Let me first say that I love the 6 active 3 passives setup in the current testing setup,
I also like that it is adjustable on the fly.

Not sure if you are seeing old vids or what, but I'm currently in the beta (haven't played in a couple weeks as nothing is new), and they changed the skills about a month ago to only be modified at... I forget the name, but its only at a shrine in town and at other certain dungeon points.

They disliked that people could put in their skills, then change them for each and every encounter.

It was very likely an older video :( I can completely understand that. I also understand you could swap before you que for pvp as well. But I assume that runes will be destroyed and not reusable, as I believe it was stated several times that they want to make swapping skills a choice. Also it would leave far too many runes in the world and market.

So possibly with the mutiple options for builds (assuming runes are destroyed upon use) You could Maybe make the second build an option and for PvP Only. To where if you were to que for PvP it would load your default PvP build and not change or modify you main PvE build?

Just thoughts really, as the runes may be reusable and swap skills and runes fairly quickly, it may not be needed. Though I know if i have to swap my skills and runes every time I wish to PvP, I may que far less than I am originally anticipating.

Fair enough on the learning curve aspect but, one could only be served well by two builds to allow frequent PvPing in the arena without the constant skill juggle?

As the topic suggests there are sooo many different combinations of builds, soo many possibilities.

But I cannot find anything on the subject of a system using this.

Let me first say that I love the 6 active 3 passives setup in the current testing setup,
I also like that it is adjustable on the fly.

But I am still holding out hope for two slots for this, Build A vs Build B.

Why?? Well watchin some of the early gameplay videos I am seeing shows people messin around with their skills to see what they do, and out of nowhere comes a rare monster. They fumble to down it as they are tryin a new ability they are not as familiar with.

Having two builds would let you keep one setup and ready while playing with new ideas on the other.

Also end game, it would allow players to keep two seperate builds to suit their needs. Could be one for trash / farming while the other is for bosses / or inferno progression. Could be one for PvE and one for PvP.

I doubt it will get implemented but would be awesome if it did.

Ok so, this is pretty much your standard build. I chose to get a little more use from Rush of essence by using haunt as my main attack, runed down to a faster dot speed.

Four Dogs of course, runed for a life, not so much for me but so they can stay alive the full 60 seconds and get blown up.

Alibaster Spirit Barrage as a little dps helper and something I dont have to micro manage as much.

I chose The rune for sacrifice to keep up a 32% damage buff.

    Gargantuan with cleave, self explanitory.

My favorite though is Mass confusion, runed Alibaster. Chance for more dogs. I love a spell like mass confusion.... not so much for crowd control just for fun.
Also imagine if you will..... Mass confusion and Dogs are both on 60 second CD. The burst is insane. Hit MC, Sacrifice your dogs, 78% could return more dogs, blow them up too..... Run out of Dogs?.... Hit your summon. LOL

I plan on using Spirit Barrage, Mass Confusion, and Explosion as soon as They are available everytime,
With Rush of essence and main attacks being Spirit, Mana should not be an issue.

    Opinions?
