I think before the Korean incident that blizzard had some concerns with d3. There were things they wanted to change and improve. They decided to work on it as they could and patch in changes after release. This is something they'll probably be doing anyways for 2012-13. Then Korea happened. You get comments from blizzard reps like, "we've been given extra time to work on the game". So, they probably started tinkering with stuff that they had planned on messing with all along. So, it's true that Korea isn't what's currently holding the game up. But, Korea is what caused us to get a release date months later than intended.
They've already screwed with stuff too much and it has to be put back together. Korea getting solved doesn't change that, but it caused it in the first place.
If you objectively look at the behavior and statements of blizzard from Sept 2011 through Jan 2012 you cannot logically believe the tripe that Korea had nothing to do with the delay. But, it doesn't matter now. We're now waiting on them to finish screwing with things like the rune system. At this point Korea is pointless in terms of release date.
If you take the position that, "Blizzard will release the game when it's done" then you are also taking the position that Blizzard won't patch in changes after release. If Blizzard does patch in changes then it immediately invalidates that entire line of reasoning for why the game was delayed. If they only release something when it's finished then there would never be any need for patches outside of weird bug fixes that didn't previously exist.

Step 2: Sell gold on RMAH for $3 per million.
Step 3: Pray someone buys it.

Anyone can make a laundry list of problems; and I've complained about crappy drops a lot. About random maps not being in the game, etc. But c'mon. Just popping into a game for 20 minutes and killing a ton of crap. It's a blast.
Here is my bet:
People complaining about the game (too easy, nothing to do, can't find upgrades, etc) are the same people who spent a ton of gold on the AH, bought super powerful items and are now on forums complaining they never find upgrades. Guaranteed.

Having 5 stacks of NV will guarantee you a rare off an elite mob. Having 75% MF alone will not.
Having 5 stacks of NV will guarantee you 2 rares off a boss. Having 75% MF alone will not.
There doesn't seem to be a correlation between MF and having legendaries/sets dropping. They seem to have a flat % chance of dropping. They do or do not. You can't juice it; it seems.
It does seem that once you hit 250% (buffed or not), you tend to get a lot more yellows off elites. Not sure if there is a hard cut off or not.

I agree that the problem with the game is summed up in every single post that says "so I cleared inferno and only spent X million on the AH."

Knowing the events of D1, I'm not sure I would have built new Tristram so close to old Tristram, knowing that (at some point) it had a bunch of stairways that led to hell. Evil destroyed or not, I think I'd build my city a bit further away - you know, just to be safe.
If anything, the Siegebreaker is the boss that was stuck in at the last moment. He makes no sense where he's placed. Would have made more sense to stick in where Ghom is, and put Ghom where Siegebreaker is.
