Besides, that is not the point at all. The question is how fast you reach that 1% and what happens when you get there. Many people before the loot 2.0 patch were bored because the AH lets them reach the 1% way too fast. Now we have "smart loot" helping you to reach the 1% way too fast. How is that better? You still get there too fast and then get bored.
I always said that the way to go for the game is making it harder, not easier. Going back into the direction that the game had before 1.3. Making your way to the 1% waaaaay longer, not shorter.
Your subjective view of "too fast" is exactly that.
The removal of the AH has significantly slowed down that time for those that used the AH, and significantly reduced the level of frustration for those that didn't.
Things will not get much better after RoS hits either. There will be a little run while leveling, and then you will find some quick updates at 70, but i give it a week or two at max before we are in the same position again, that we have tons of drops and none are upgrades.
Obvious troll is obvious.
Of course you won't find updates regularly if you already own items from the top 1% of those available, that's how maths works.
I assume they are playing T6 for the massive xp boost, picking up a WP near a chest spawn (which from what I've read seems to be a 50% chance), go into game, complete chest if there, leave, repeat.
Ok, but PoE is much closer to the first two diablo games than d3 is.
Just because we liked the original Diablo games doesn't mean we can't prefer the direction D3 has gone over PoE, it's been 14 years since D2 released, many, many, many things have changed in that time.
Frankly I suspect a lot of it comes down to people having no idea what a beta actually is, and I partly lay the blame for this at the feet of developers as typically these days beta actually means "pretty much the version of the game that is going to ship, we're just using you to stress test so aren't even going to wipe the game" rather than an in development build where literally everything is subject to evaluation and change.
I also saw quite a bit of QQ from the changes to rift keys, which was quite funny.
At the end of the day the only people who truly lose are your so-called "casual" players who don't keep up to date religiously on fansites or bnet forums. People who are only paying attention to blizz updates and are late to this key information change.
Not going to comment on the rest of your post, but this is completely wrong. The 'casual' player you mention will not be affected at all as they just won't have the gold that would have allowed said re-rolling, and certainly won't have the absolute perfect BiS items that will be viable at lvl70 with a good re-roll.
I would almost certainly come under your definition of causal player and playing the PTR with my best char I had found 2 upgrades in 20 minutes.
Yeah, if you look at the OPs other posts they are all very generic and would be at home in pretty much any thread anywhere. I think the general idea is the sig should contain the advertising.

Do you need to know what others are using? Does no knowing adversely impact you? Also inspecting someones gear will reveal what items have been transmogrified into what.

IIRC only the random stats on legs can be rerolled not any of the 'fixed' stats as listed in the game guide.

Well they are improving some of it, you will be able to choose which portal opens in RoS.
