Quote from Greenjoke
apparently nothing is delaying d3 release. it's magically happening with no explanation.
This is quite confusing. The flip flopping of "early" to Q1 would lead us to believe something has changed and if not then we would have some kind of information?
Instead, as far we can tell, nothing is happening for no reason at all.
Very interested to see what Jay Wilson's write up consist of and says, and hopefully will leave us with a better understanding of what is going on.

It's not really free, you get it for committing to a year sub of WoW. It's a contract, they do it with cell phones too, not really free by any means.

I'd say they're just slightly changed up. Diablo's Heavenly Virtues are obviously the Augris Council. Justice, Valor, Hope, Wisdom, Faith.
Also a quote from the Book of Cain regarding Imperius
"However his legendary Valor appears to come with the fatal flaw of pride. It is this pride and arrogance which have reportedly brought him into conflict with Tyrael..."
Something is obviously up, Angel's have their flaws which kind of goes against what we think of as Angels.

I'm guessing and hoping we'll find out next week.

That's what I've been thinking is that it's not really "testing" anything. Servers I guess, but I feel like the have a resource that they're not utilizing with the beta,

As Zarhym recently told us, the game is in the polish/test phase. I believe it's been in this phase for a long time but that's a different point entirely.
So the game is being polished and tested, sounds reasonable enough. Blizzard has to do the polishing obviously but the testing, isn't that what the Beta is for?
We all know the beta is very small, about an hour of gameplay, and missing a lot of key features such as runes and pvp. Wouldn't it be reasonable to use the beta to test some of these things? It seems like a win-win situation to me. Blizzard gets to test whatever it is they're testing and fans in the beta get to play more of the game.
The result being the game getting finished faster, released faster and that makes for happy fans. I'm not just saying this because I want more content in the beta, I'm not even in the beta...yet
It just seemed like a reasonable idea to me that gets the game released as soon as possible but still keeping quality assurance.
I guess there is a possibility this will happen since we heard "new info" was going to come out around the same time as a beta update.

I read last year that games come out in March because they don't want to compete for Holiday sales, I am sure that is true for some games. However March is one of the reasons I want to when D3 is coming out so badly. There are a lot of games coming out in March I'm interested in but I have to make sure i save my money for D3 and I won't be interested in much else when I get D3. I'd hate to buy a couple games in March then hear "Diablo only a couple weeks away!"
Also on that Subject, getting D3 out during or before March could prove beneficial to Blizzard. If you think about the casual players who might pick up D3, they are a lot less likely to do so if there are a bunch of other releases around the same time.

They could easily produce and ship the disc and then just patch in the Rune system changes, the game is requiring an always online connection. Seems reasonable if you wanted to hit a release date and pretty much had your plan laid out for the changes.

Not sure if he is saying Q1 is incorrect or if he's implying he did us a favor. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?
