I loved wow, not going to lie, but after 6 years finally called it quits. Personally I didn't like the need to rely on 9-24 other people to have any fun, and when i reflected on how many hours i spent just standing in a major city, my brain exploded.

SWTOR only brings a couple new things to the mmo table, most notably the deeper storyline. the interaction is actually quite fun. It has a polished UI compared to other mmo's, and a couple new(er) features like aoe loot and whatnot. But when you boil it down, it's just another mmo. And personally I'm tired of them; Played everything from WoW to warhammer, aion, rift, and for myself the fundamental flaw with a mmo atmosphere is that you HAVE to play with everyone else to get anywhere.

Thus the reason I <3 D3, because popping on for 15 minutes means I can actually do something =P<br/>
All in all, swtor is fun (the cinematics are badass, I've watched em a couple times each now lol) but if you have gotten tired of MMO's this one is really no different. I feel bad because my buddies and I quit wow, but now they want to play this and I have to tell them I don't feel like having a second job where I'm required to play at a certain time, for a certain time.

Off topic: *crosses fingers for whatever the hell Titan is going to turn out to be*
I pretty much agree with this. Also an ex-wow player. Being tired of hardcore raiding for the last two years I quit and am now playing swtor with a friend. I'm plain sick of all the raiding and being dependent on other people, so all I do now is just enjoy our co-op play when we both have time. It's pretty fun I must say and reminds me of KotOR. Group dialogues are brilliant, those moments when you dislike someone and try to harass him/her, and your friend starts flirting, make me laugh, or when you decide to let someone live and the friend kills him with his last successful answer roll. We also happened to have a good class combination and enough experience to beat early 4-player flashpoints (instances) together: a welcome challenge without countless wipes due to random raid member's incompetence. As a co-op rpg the game makes me happy, and I would recommend it as such. But I don't know what else to expect. BGs are pretty much the same, and I don't think raiding will be much different. Personally I enjoy this game more than wow because I like sci-fi settings more and because there's this awesome storyline with co-op mode. But I personally don't believe raiding will be different (in fact I believe it will be much worse) and I also trust Blizzard much more in terms of balance. So all in all i'll play swtor in rpg-mode for a month or two and next mmo I'll step foot into will be Titan.
