They must remain silent for at least two more months for it to be "more likely a Q3 release"

posted a message on Recording D3, What to use?
I only used fraps for recording, it was ok. Though you should be prepared to store HUGE files, as raw video weighs a lot. Something like 20 gigs per 10 minutes or so for 1920x1080 resolution and 30fps (thats not really accurate, but gives an idea). Adobe AfterEffects is great for creating effects (check out those tutorials), Adobe Premiere Pro or Sony Vegas are popular for editing. As drk_ua_ said, H.264 is mainly used for encoding. I'd recommend to record a short (about 2 mins) video of gameplay, then try to render and upload it to get a grip, test the quality and so on. Can't give more detailed instructions because I don't know what you will actually use, but Internet offers plenty of tutorials no matter what software you pick.
As for where to get the software I'd say thepiratebay has it all. If you weren't planning on paying that is :)

    I found this:

posted a message on What the hell is up with Monks armor?!?
    Quote from Ieatroflwafflz

I personally think the wizard armor looks more stupid than the monks...but opinions are opinions. I don't care to much about armor looks anyway...i mean, have you seen harlequin crest shako? A disgusting green cap...yep everyone ran around with that ugly puke stained cap...looks don't truly matter imo.
I'm in this club also. I mean looks are less important to me. Got used to shako, will get used to this thing as well. Though I'm pretty sure we'll have our alternatives. Oh, and I also like wizard's set the most. So, really, opinions. But I support the OP nevertheless, I do think monk's hat and shoulders are ugly. It's just I won't really be noticing it after a week of playing a monk in this armor.

I made a post with a spoiler tag and it's being shown on the "new content" page. Here's a pic of what I'm talking about.

Not much of an issue, but thought I'd report it anyway.

    Moon (2009): 8/10
A great sci-fi movie. Though it seems to lack something to be brilliant and is a little bit predictive, I really enjoyed watching it.
An AI actually being nice and not killing anyone was a pleasant surprise :)

posted a message on Tristram comparison: Diablo 1, Diablo 3
    @LordRayken
I see. Well, we obviously look at the situation from different angles. I'm satisfied with the new old Tristram as it feels more alive than ever. I can actually imagine the place and people who lived there. The size and offset of the well don't bother me at all, the stony ractangle in the northern part of D2 Tristram bothered me much much more (I still don't know whether it was supposed to represent the cathedral or not). I'm just happy with this new "realistic" version of the town and don't want to see those rectangles in the open field ever again. The D2 version was too sketchy and lifeless IMO.

posted a message on Tristram comparison: Diablo 1, Diablo 3
    Quote from LordRayken

The Tristram in Diablo 2 was exactly the same as the Tristram in Diablo 1.
    No, it wasn't.

Both pictures were posted by Aerisot in this and another thread, I place them here together for comparison.
IMO the D2 Tristram looks like a simplified copy, when the D3 Tristram resembles how the town could really look after another 20 years.

    Quote from LordRayken

Honestly, if you match up Diablo 1's Tristram with Diablo 3's they do not match by much at all.
The main buildings are in place and look the same, Adria's hut seems to be in place also. I don't know what you are talking about.

posted a message on Why the Character Sheet (hotkey 'c') should return.
I like a separate character sheet more. Preferably with some tabs inside to switch between char/merc/spell/phys stats or something.
Maybe they are planning to launch D3 on smartphones? Smarter use of screen space and such :)

posted a message on DiabloFans Calculator Build Contest (ONE POST ONLY)
This is a simple monk lvl 20 build I intend to use for levelling. Lots of evasion as I will not have great gear in the beginning (and just want to test it out), healing for me and my friends, Wave of Light is interchangeable with Seven-Sided Strike depending on the situation. Only two passives because of my lvl 20 limitation. I don't think going into evasion and healing will be absolutely necessary in the beginning, but I just really like the idea and want to give it a try.

    Sounds somewhat suspicious

Nah. It is not. Blizzard have had some issues with their new official fansites actually selling their betakeys instead of handling them out. So Blizzard have supervized all the contest in this matter. So instead of handling out keys, they get the account information from the respected crew running the contests to avoid this matter.
Oh, I see. It's sad to know that some official fansites actually do that though. Thanks for the clarification!

posted a message on Crowd Controlling Monk - Surprisingly Viable
I'd be surprised if a monk with little to no control turned out to be viable on higher difficulties :)
Nice build. How do you describe a "build integrity" with one word? It feels like that. Though maybe it's better to acquire movement speed through gear and change one passive? Fleet footed feels weak.
