You see stuff like this, and it just kind of seems evident that they just flat out lied thoughout the development process. Its coming soon, its 9/10 done, we could send this out right now...etc...BS BS BS!
Pretty much this. Back in september I think, they said the game was done and needed only some polish. Then after that, pretty much every news on the d3 website was to tell us that they removed something.Pretty disappointing. I mean, I was hyped about D3, but the more I follow it the more disappointed I am. From the RMAH, to removal of the rune system, and now the whole PVP system post-poned (which mean it'll take a few months. Lets be honest, if they removed it from release, it means that theres still a lot of work to do on it).As a PVPer, I'm not even sure I'll buy it on release. I'll probably wait for the PVP update. This suck. I loved diablo.

Dear OP its quite simple imo: Blizzard makes WOW+no Blizzard North+activision+Lame ass Bnet 2.0 = a disapointing sequel, the game doesnt impress me at all, the tone is bad and dumbed down, the art sucks and I dont like the animations, well you get the picture, I really hope Im wrong and when the game comes out it´ll blow my mind, I wanna like this game so bad, but seeing how greedy the devs are getting in the last years and how bad the products are becoming its just depressing.
The last time I checked they removed the Last man standing mode for the lame ass TDM (dumb down much: "oh poor thing, he is dead, it must be soo hard to wait a little bit for the match end, lets put tdm instead" ), I hope they make something better for us pvpers.
Maybe I'm dumb, because I was actually glad to hear about this change. For a fast-paced PvP game, I really do not want to wait around - I'd rather jump right back in the action and get revenge. I would also like to see more variety in PvP through a selection of game modes. I don't really understand Blizzard's decision to remove one mode and replace it completely with another rather than adding a new one. Hopefully, in future patches we could see a Last Man Standing mode and maybe Capture the Flag (fingers crossed)?
I hear you man, TDM per se its not that bad, but if you are playing clan matches it sucks big time, LMS is waaayy better, because it requires more skill and team play than other modes. You know whats going to happen if blizzard dont adress this: We are going to have gentlemans agreement to play propper clan matches. Why cant blizzard get this.

No need to be mad bro, Im just poiting that, albeit the sc2 has a good multiplayer, lorewise it sucked hard and was a big let down. Protoss looked like wow elves ffs, even most of the unit sounds are weaker, just check the link above, it explains in detail the bad taste the game had in my mounth, it´s eye opening and shows how blizzard is lacking the depth it once had in its game lore. No offense intended.
Honestly, I believe the opening cinematic did what it was supposed to do. Leave us wanting more.
It didn't do that for me. It left me thinking I didn't want to see another short video with Leah dropping to her knees at the end.

I think auto allocated stats was a idea by Blizzard to put even more emphasis on items to customize your character. In addition, it was also to protect players from totally botching their builds and having to either restart or constantly respec to try and find what is 'perfect'.
I guess I don't see how that's viewed as "dumbing the game down" or "taking out an RPG element of the game".

I personally am not against auto-allocated stats. But I acknowledge that it removes choice, decreases room for error by inexperienced players and thereby, directly, makes it easier for inexperienced players, otherwise referred to as "dumbing down the game".
This. I´m part of the group who is sorely disappointed with the course blizzard took with this game. Besides, instead of making auto allocated stats, why didnt they corrected/created a new funcional stats system??? "oh its broken lets dumb down" smells like lazyness, shame on you blizzard.
I used to love to start a new build and I was very carefull not to make a mistake with it. I was one of those guys who had all possible builds you can imagine, I had at least 4 sorceress and was happy to play/duel with each one of them. It was easy to get lvl 80 in about a week or two, so whats the big deal with making errors in the build. Maybe Im too hardcore for the current generation heh.
Can´t say im excited with d3, it just looks and sounds so lame imho, same thing with sc2, they ruined that franchise for me...I really hope I´m wrong and the game turns out to be real good though, wishful thinking I guess...
