If d3 was almost exactly like d2, people would complain that nothing changed. People would complain no matter what.
I call it COD syndrome. Call of duty modern warfare series started out with everyone loving it, then mw2 came and people complained about the similarities and some differences, then black ops, and people complained that it was too similar, then mw3 came and people further complained that it was too similar.
The point is that even if a game is similar to its popular predecessor, people will complain about lack of changes.
TL:DR People will complain whether it was exactly like d2 or 100 percent different. -

The upgrades do actually drop in act 1 Inferno. You just haven't farmed enough for them, I'm afraid.
1 week of farming is a tiny, tiny amount of time. Don't get confused by the people who have zerged through Inferno, the vast majority of people won't be able to do that.
Keep on farming. The upgrades will drop. And if not, you'll have a ton of gold at least!
It's well known that Acts III & IV drop way better loot than Acts I & II. After a certain point of farming Act I, the only ways of getting upgrades are buying Act III & IV gear through the AH or praying for a perfectly rolled rare to drop/craft (which probably won't happen).
It's sad but the AH is the way to go. -

ent0mbed posted a message on I give up.Diablo is a gear farming game. Act 2 Inferno gear does drop in Act 1... just at a lower chance. Get Act 2 gear that you don't need? Use the trade forum to go get the gear you do need, sell it for 20 million on the AH and buy the 20 million piece that you do need. If you're tired of farming in Act 1... you're going to be tired of farming in Act 2. And what do you think will happen at the end of Act 4? Some miracle? No. Nothing changes after this so either you can enjoy farming in Inferno or not.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion -

This game isn't meant to be linear... just because you can clear act 1, does not mean you are ready for act2... a few months before release, yes, they were the same, but they changed that.
The difference between each act is huge in inferno... and all you need is more gear. When you get more gear, act 2 will become a joke and you'll QQ about act 3... just farm gear and all your issues will go away. -

Cdx posted a message on [Video] Cdx's Gold Find Farming Method (3-10k every 30seconds)Hey guys! As promised I am releasing the strategy I used to obtain the gear I now have. First use a gold find set and farm this cellar using my checkpoint method, then farm the gold, then buy your gear in the AH finding good deals by filtering by buyout price, or typing in a buyout price you can afford.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Here is the video! Enjoy!

mavfin posted a message on Diablo 3 Sells 3.5 Million in 24 hours, not including AP.Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionOriginally Posted by (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)
As of the first week of the game's availability, that number had already grown to more than 6.3 million.*
Even assuming that number includes the 1.2 million AP users, that's still 5.1 million copies sold in the first week. Not too shabby for another 'Blizzard fail game' if you listen to some around here.
Love it. Something to really rile up the Blizzard-haters. -

the ONLY thing that changes from solo to co-op is monster HP and monster Damage. that is all. the drops, chance of drops, amount of monsters and gold do not increase at all. it was made this way to avoid making co-op the end-all for item hunting.
also unless you have a group of friends to play with, playing solo will yield better farming because your MF/GF isnt averaged out between the group and you'd be able to kill faster since monster hp is increased by 110% PER person who joins in Inferno and damage by 15% per person also. (it was 6.25% dmg increase in Diablo 2 per person)

yes. it does in fact grant you extra speed. sometimes i would use it just to move a little faster through hallways and such that had no mobs. although how much speed is beyond me, it doesnt seem like a lot. maybe like a ~40% boost or something for 2 seconds isnt much but it helps get out of those sticky situations even faster to make those 2 seconds really count

wow awesome. this makes me feel A LOT better about them. esp if you get the 3 trinity of passives to keep them alive. jungle fort Zhandler Bad med

lol.... so WHY would it take a long time to beat inferno if you can kill mobs so fast? simple, you WONT. if you watch the videos of inferno you'll see the characters hacking away over and over and over and nothing dying. im nevar hatin, just trying to assist people in their wrong way of thinking. even with the absolute best gear in the game you wont hack through mobs like you can in normal.
1
you do realize their aggressiveness and speed and abilities will increase 10 fold in inferno right dude? and escapes doesnt = killing faster. you dont put much thought or logical strategy into your builds ive noticed. you just think about how the abilities work and not how mobs will react and how hard they will be/how long it takes to kill them, its very clear from the builds youve made. dont want to turn this into a flame fest im actually being sincere. there are many strategies that just plain wont work in inferno at all. the grave injustice/petless WD being one of them

when people dont have the game. they will bitch about ANYTHING. including shit that doesnt effect you

random out of no where speculation with absolutely nothing to indicate it please. and make that a double.
perhaps we get giant flying birds as pets in inferno? u know, just cuz i want one so it could happen

ya pretty much the same besides a few build threads. i never visited forums until this one. when i became completely bored of WoW and obsessed with D3. i dont see any need to post about the game if i have it to play, lol

im not going to try and craft the perfect gear for my first playthrough, or even try for high rolls. just craft a couple of each at the most, or even just one of each to get some decent gear so the first playthrough wont be impossible. ill be stacking pure damage and xp gear from normal through nightmare then switch to defensive stats from hell onward. obviously if some gear rolls all crap/useless stats id have to keep crafting.
(yea yea bla bla "omfg if u think u wont need defensive gear in nightmare your high", please... you didnt need it in D2 u wont need it in D3, overestimating hell and inferno is one thing but nightmare is just "normal mode" while normal is "easy mode")
