I love how without playing the game at all you already know which class will clear Inferno the fastest.

    Speculation FTW!!!

its called common sense FTW. only class with minions = easiest. always. lol DER

after hours of making hundreds of builds with every class its easy to see the WD will be the easiest at going through the game, tons of strong pets that do great dmg, tons of CC spells, and since he wont have to stop to farm gear to survive since his pets tank, he'll only need a weapon. and by this he will also be the fastest first play through the entire game, unless of course you use your credit card to buy inferno gear :P

I plan on making a Witch Doctor first but the play-style possibilities that the Wizard has are quite alluring, it's just sad that I can't have my cake and eat it to... lol

im also choosing the WD first because more then any other class he will be the easiest by far to go through inferno the fastest, and no i dont mean killing speed, i mean with less gear. he isnt gear dependent like melee classes and unlike the DH or WD he has lots of meat shields to protect him through hell/inferno. so all he really needs is a good weapon and hes good to go for inferno.

I wonder if they will bring up the lvl cap, maybe do some lvl30-36 testing in Act1 NM... just so we can see some other skills and potential builds...

I need to click/kill things asap!
I wonder why some of the people that got into the beta can still complain...

The whole system is not fair to those that bet large sums.

Standardize the bets: there can only be 1 amount of gold that can be bet (like 10 000).

    gambling is never fair

posted a message on 9 Changes that make D3 amazing
so with all the new stuff in D3 i just wanted to make a list of all the stuff they've changed for the better and why D3 will be so awesome:

    1. shared stash - no more losing items from your game disappearing or your "friend" ninja looting you

    2. individual loot - no more ninja looters in games, your loot is YOUR loot (this is by far one of the BEST new things)

    3. rune system - creating 1000x more viable builds PER class VS. D2 which only had about 30 viable builds between ALL characters

    4. crafting - so you no longer do 1000 MF runs and come up with nothing, because all the "useless" items you looted from those runs can be turned into scraps and then into decent gear (not the BEST - but the lvl 60 craftable gear is still real nice)

    5. Followers cant die - no more wasting 50k+ gold to res your merc when he dies for an insanely stupid reason >_>

    6. Inferno - hell was somewhat of a challenge at first but it wasnt too hard in D2, hopefully inferno will add that extra challenge to make the game more exciting ^_^

    7. no more boss runs - this list isn't in exact order because this should be near the top, able to farm the ENTIRE game VS. just bosses for loot makes the replay ability of this game 10x higher then D2.

    8. No more rushes/runs - probably number 1 best thing. I got the impression you could skip quests if you join a game of someone on a higher one, but you wont get XP if the monsters are too high so you'll have to go back and kill monsters yourself because going through the game normally WILL be the FASTEST way to gain levels. and another thing that prevents rushes/runs is the new Bnet, you can no longer create your own games with your own names and with only 4 ppl per game itll really deter from runs/rushes making it take literally 20x longer to reach lvl 60. ^_^

    9. No Immunities - in D2 those pesky immune monsters were EVERYWHERE, especially in hell, so you basically had to either run away or create you build with multiple elements of killing, making you far less powerful overall. and EVEN THEN there would be DOUBLE immunes so you literally couldnt kill those. this will make it so WAY more builds are viable end-game.

    Game rush loop hole:
Trist runs 1-15, tombs - 15 - 20, cows 20-25, *get rushed by whoever* , Baal runs 25-45, *get rushed by whoever* baal runs 45-65, *rushed again* baal runs 65-75, chaos runs 75+ --- doing this i could get from 1-80 in literally a few hours. used to be worse when you could uber tristram your way from 1-80 in 10 min. lol. ruined the entire playing of the game since pretty much 90% of everyone did this. hopefully D3 wont have any good ways to recreate this type of "loop hole".

Yeah I almost left my wife for someone else over that reason - it (probably) would have been a mistake since my wife and I have had 12+ great years since then (not to mention having 3 kids since then as well) but I can see how it might have simplified my life a bit had I lucked into that combo right off the bat. Wouldnt change a thing but if I could wave a magic wand and add ONE thing to my wife it would be to make her a gamer.

man... wtf... all these old people playing video games... :P

i feel i am far too obsessed with video games to successfully be a father, if/when i have kids it will be on my time when i decide (protection kids! :D) and when my video game craze severely dies down. i feel after i get bored of D3 i see no other game keeping me obsessed... besides D4 :o

Wasn't a WOW player but I did play Everquest 2 for 2+ years - being in a top end guild basically means your life is set by the zone refresh cycle - zones tuned to a exceedingly high end gameplay - and even then you probably had to rely on knowing someone in the guild that did it world first to get the secrets like stand here here and here and at exactly 1 minute 30 seconds in to the fight everyone has to rotate 20 degrees counter-clockwise blah blah blah.

My marriage almost didnt survive it and I was certainly MORE conscious than most people about how much time it took. I only play games that can be saved/stopped at almost any time now - I feel the itch for EQ2 every once in a while but I know its a divorce waiting to happen.

thats exactly why i married a girl who played video games. we played wow together for 2 years. if we didnt we of course would of gotten a divorce without a doubt. and after D3 comes out we will be playing that together ^_^. find yourself a gamer girl, a girl with her own extensive hobbies, or don't bother. if you cant enjoy your favorite past time, its not worth it at all. i dont want to choose between a relationship and video games, i want both god damnit!

Na, because in WoW, raiding on X and Y nights was mandatory in order to progress both gear-wise and guild-wise. Back in WotLK, my guild had maybe 28 people for our 25 man raids. It was great for gear, but awful for life. If a few people didn't log in, it basically ruined the night for those other 20 some people. I finally said fuck it and told my guild leader to recruit someone else, that if I was online I would help the guild by raiding but I couldn't sit in every night for 6 hours straight. My life opened up tremendously after I quit raiding and eventually I just quit the game all-together.

With D3 I don't see that happening because I can solo farm whenever the hell I want. Or play with friends if they're online. I don't have to set a specific night to raid or play arena. So much freedom. CANNOT WAIT!

i never raided more then twice, because of exactly that. lmao

Damage reduction adds multiplicatively you get 52% dmg reduction not 60% with these two (before defense and stuff).

Zombies dogs deal 15% WD with Alabaster this means 7.5% life steal (with 3.75% redirected to you)
Acid Clouds is the more expensive spammable spell of the WD you'll need mana no matter how you look at it and Spirit Realm spells are here to help with mana issue.

    I'd go with http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/witch-doctor#bRhkdW!aWd!YYcYbY

Dog gives even more damage reduction up to 71.2% on yourself, and Hex dude heals the dogs/you . I'd put also a Spirit Realm spell for the mana, or Locust Swarm indigo instead of Acid Rain for the fun of summoning stuff with every spell at disposal.

you wont really be hit, or rarely get hit, so theres no point in runing your dogs to reduce the dmg to you. you need your DOGS to be alive longer as they are your meat shields not yourself and the life steal heals them AND you so its better. also constantly trying to keep the hex guy up since his duration is so low will waste mana and will be a pain in the ass.

but if you want to sub in a spell to help with mana you could put in haunt golden or spiders golden for mana regen purposes. but i wouldn't change anything else.

I think you'll have a hard time against poison resistant enemies. I believe you should trade one poison spell to a fire one, or just use one spammable poison spell just to trigger the 40% damage reduction and use other types of damage.

unlike D2 there wont be ANY immune monsters in the game. i believe blizzard said only a max of 50% resistant against a specific type even in inferno, so gearing all your abilities towards one element is fine in D3. itll just take a bit longer to kill those specific psn enchanted monsters, but with the massive dmg reduction they wont do much dmg either way so they will still die.

LOL I don't think Kevin is that bad but I have only listened to about 3-4 different ones. Kevin just gives off this I'm smarter than Blizzard vibe the entire time which can get a bit draining to listen to after a while. Force does a really good job at clearly explaining everything even for people who haven't played the Beta. While Kevin assumes everyone has played the Beta.

listen to a few more and pay attention to when he actually reacts favorably towards ANYTHING. or doesnt complain about something for more then 5 min. it will be very few and far between.

I sadly have to agree. I think that any rumor this may support is the leaked Blizzcon email stating D3's supposed release on January 17th of 2012.

    Here's to hoping :)

would be nice to get a release date in the next few weeks. but if we dont get one by the end of november then that january 17th rumor date isnt true :(. HOPE MORE!
