posted a message on Fun.. But it doesn't feel like Diablo.
The story is crap compared to D1 and 2 and the 4 player cap sucks but otherwise it's a huge improvement.

Now if you're talking about the experience of being able to even PLAY the game. Well D2 rapes D3 thanks to the DRM.

Low on the priority list compared to the lack of other features in the chat. Shouts typically result in spam. If you need to talk to someone on your BNet just do it...don't spam everyone's screen. I always disabled shouts anyway.

Act one might be down by monday at best?

"Method just finished inferno act 2."

With such speeds ferno will be beaten this week1 today

This was expected per Bashiok due to exploiting or cheesy tactics you really should be watching their streams and not just posting the articles.

They are skipping nearly every dangerous mob and exploiting the AS helping res bug (which is on the known issues post).

Good analogies were: Taking a helicopter near the top and climbing the rest and claiming first to the top.
Watching a video at 10x and saying you were the first to watch it.

They're the first to beat bosses, but they're only getting there because they're able to do what Jay said (in an interview during the media blitz before release) you wouldn't be able to do and that's bypass the hard mobs. So exploits as well as the fact that they aren't even playing the game as it was intended.

If you really think it's time to complain about killing bosses only making the game way too short, then you don't know how to play Diablo. These guys think what they are doing is relevant and too many WoW nerds are taking the bait as if world firsts have ever been totally legit.

The only thing wrong on Blizzard's end was not mixing up bosses to do more things in higher difficulties. I was really disappointed when I heard that but it pretty much proves they want your top challenges to be rares and champ packs so perhaps the only softcore achievement we should consider is first to clear all combos of champ pack/rare affixes.

Oh and everyone watching the Inferno vid and raging about how fast getting there has been, note the youtube top comment:

What you don't see in this video is how they got to skeleton king. They had to have their wizard run/teleport around the dungeon levels, while freezing the mobs he couldn't bypass otherwise, looking for the entrance to the next levels. All because they kept getting schooled everytime they meet a champion/rare pack. They were able to defeat Skeleton king because he hass the same abilities on inferno as he does on normal, and thosse abilities are designed to be easy to avoid.

Because everything you read on the internet is always true.

    or see...

the whole thing was live streamed and they selectively chose to leave out in recorded videos what was actually kicking their ass in act 1

Blizzard already admitted during the best buy interview that boss abilities largely didn't change between difficulties. Long before that we knew that champs and rares would have more affixes and thus more abilities for us to deal with in higher difficulties.

The wierd thing is my computer can get into a "state" where the game will work for days. But I have no idea how to do that. I can restart a million times - eventually it might just work. The last time it worked, my monitor stopped going to sleep but the game played great.

Live client hasn't be out long enough for you to say "the game will work for days"

I blame Molster for that, he wrote the news. I just included the title in the spoiler tag later to save us from hordes of angry anti-spoilers guys.

np, glad I saw it and not one of those types of people. I already saw the vid before so no rage from me :)

    The New "Cow Level"
It looks like the time has come! A group of players have made it to the new cow level, and recorded a video of it as well. If you still don't know anything about the new "cow level" I would suggest not clicking the spoiler tag, as just the youtube video picture will spoil it.

This text is already hidden under a spoiler tag. There is no spoiler tag after this text so you already see the youtube picture.

Another point to be made is that this is a group of fully co-ordinated, skilled, dedicated and hardcore gamers who have been playing regularly since the moment of release.

Thanks Blizzard. America was never presented with this opportunity.

BS level persists through characters... I see no problems here.

(That's also a handy way to use all those leftover mats in normal when you move on to Nightmare/Hell)

Thats a good point. I guess I just thought he would be more useful for leveling.

for everyone except your first character

I figured a tech site would have a bit more understanding in the logistics of that much log in and character creation.

Everyone had access to OBW for free unlike launch. Apparently that didn't do anything.

Dont get me wrong, i Loved it. but why is it so short?
Yes yes do higher difficulties.. but its still the same content.

similar content, not the same...every area's layout is randomly generated which also includes entrances to areas not available every time you play

this game has more content then you think...you have to play through the game like 20 times before you could see everything and that's not talking about difficulties

For a game where you can play the entire thing w/o interacting with another player, the fact that it was even down for anything longer than a second is jarring. The world is used to being able to play SP games whenever they want. Take that second into hours and you get plenty of warranted rage. If you were there for the MP or the AH, then it was just like an MMO launch.

Wow your attitude is just dumb... He is not comparing D3 to WoW anywhere, he is talking about a usefull tool and you should shut up a go play with the rest of the kids. You can't read bro so at least don't point it out...

the instant you bring up Recount you've brought up WoW
