Tristam, two months before the fall of King Leoric
"Stay while and listen," the old man croaked hearing a rustle behind him. He turned, surprised to find not the hero he was expecting but a simple frog. He eyed the small creature curiously then continued on with his story about the unthinkable evils that were looming ahead as if the frog could understand him.
Across the town Griswold watched. "Better the frog than me." he muttered with a shrug. Happy to be free of the Elders endless stories about the end of the world.
And from that day on Binkles the Frog was heralded a hero of Tristam, for he saved the towns people from a greatest evil they had ever known, an old man that would never shut up.
If only they had listened.
