You don't see video's of a kid shooting his rifle at a target 200 feet away and hitting a bulls eye. Only to have a military sniper do the same thing with a 50 cal and get all hyped about it.

Same thing, being a dick is being a dick even if he's just "acting" or playing a part. A person with maturity/class wouldn't represent themselves in such a way.

I like the gem sink idea someone mentioned previously. The more I think about that, the more it grows on me.

Seems kind of a waste to have litterally 100's gems sitting in my stash. Let's do somthing with them. I liked my idea :) throw them in a couple recipes to get specific modifiers so we can craft resonable stuff we can actually use. I don't like to complain about a problem I enjoy fixing them. These seems like it would be a reasonable fix.

The fanboysm in this thread is astounding.

    I don't fuckin' get it.

"He's playing a character"....what, that's an acceptable reason to act like a jerk and squint his gay eyes like a smug little prick? That's great that the little pussy earns money for charity but....how about people just donate to charity and NOT support a whiny little fagot?

I've never watched a video of his outside of this one and the world first 60. Acting like a dick and making money off of it is the definition of a douchbag. Don't get why people are defending this guy. If you want to follow a gamer follow someone who gives constructive and intellegent information back to the community.

So a co-worker and I were talking about this. Crafting tends to cost more then an item of equal stats/value on the AH. We talked about D2 and the "crafting system" what it involved and everything. The thing we thought was the most different from D2 was that when you crafted somthing you kind of had an idea on what it would roll, just not the value of the rolls.

Since we don't have anything like that in D3 and the gems seem to be infinite, I thought what about a gem sink into crafting? Make a recipe that gives the 2 or 3 ramdom magic properties + if you add a gem to the recipe you get +x-y to whatever stat the gem modifies.

Example: Apprentice Leather Doublet rolls +2 random properties costing 5 subtle essence.

a chipped amethyst to the recipe it rolls +2 random properties +X-Y to vitality (the range x-y will depend on the quality of the gem)
    So
Apprentice Leather Doublet rolls +2 random properties +1 property from gem costing 5 subtle essence and 1 gem of choice.

This could help to make crafting more viable because we know at least 1 property it will roll for sure. Plus it can get rid of all those gems you aren't using.

Just theorycrafting. Thoughts? Posible mod for an expansion?

Last night I had a guy 6 levels over me in a new game w/ 4 people. Rolled a barb to see what the bitching is about. He would stick with the group but wasn't useing any spells or attacking , just being a meat shield. This doesn't work too well when your trying to power level through, so i said either start hackin or gtfo. He didn't do either so I voted kick with reason AFK and bam 10 seconds later he was booted.

So it works but I dunno how well.

Plans can drop past NM. Individual set items that drop are lvl60 so I would assume they only drop in hell or inferno, not whenever.

What will you do ? Level up every class in softcore then in Hardcore.
Try to finish Inferno with each of those.

    Then what ?

    Just try to answer me.

Isn't this the entire point of the diablo series???

    hey, i have d3 on 2 computers

    1. Pc with gtx 550 - run diablo 3 extremly smooth on the highest setting possible.

    2. A late 2009 Mac with graphics card i honestly dont even know, but i can run wow on low-med setting and get 30 fps in 25 man raids with this mac. But i cant even run diablo 3 on low settings with this set up.

I currently have both at home but planned on taking one in to work :) (for the slow days) so i can play on downtime, i can run the game but at 2 fps or something small like that , cant upgrade MAC video cards so my plan was thrawted.

But instead of reading all that BS above i couldve just said to spend it on a beginer lvl high end card, if that makes sense. I believe the 550 is one of those cards runs about 250 300 bucks i beleive.

The MAC client right now is buggy and is running poorly. Bliz is aware of the problem and is working on it. But a GTX 550 is $150 < if you paid more then that in the last year you got ripped off. I just bought a 560Ti for $200 from newegg. It runs the game >100FPS on the all high settings. This is the best $ to power card out right now in my opinion.

If you post your current specs I can point you in the right direction on what your system can handle upgrade wise. Is your power supply up to par? Will your CPU bottleneck the GPU? Things like that.

I just built a new rig and have a 560Ti and i get 100+ fps on all high settings at 1080P. You can get them on sale for $200. If you're playing on a monitor that can run 1080P I wouldn't recomend anthing less.

Forgot to mention: Make sure your processor won't bottleneck the GPU.

so you have to have the 'normal' staff in order to make the 'nightmare' one, and the 'nightmare' one for the 'hell' one? do you have to re-acquire all the ingredients again, each difficulty?

From what I've read online the staff never goes away, you just have to upgrade it for the different dificulties. So you're paying x amount of gold for each new dificulty of Whimseyshire

I'm in act 3 nightmare and ive seen anywhere from 1 gold to almost 200, so I have to assume later in hell itl be around 400 or more. It probably not until inferno will 1k drop. I have However made 100k off the AH selling like 8 rares lol so maybe use that.

Wow 100K, I just break down all my rares for crafting. I've had some decent ones too. I guess I'll try that out soI can start my barb quickly. Is anyone else going to play multiple champs through normal before proceding forward?

How much gold is dropping in the higher levels? Just curious because I want to start a barbarian, and use the 2 lowest craftable sets.

Should cost around 40K gold and 700 essences and 250 teeth. Just curious on how long it is untill the gold drops are 1k+ or aroudn that. I'm rocking my Witch Doctor at the moment in Act II Normal. Almost have my BS at Master Quality.
