Diablo was never about the extreme difficulty of the content; people who were (are) looking for that should really start looking elsewhere. Diablo is about slaughtering hordes of monsters, feeling powerful, but mostly about the loot; that beautiful, beautiful loot. Right now, too many things get in the way of getting that loot (the biggest of which is a general lack of interesting loot)...hopefully, it will start to get better.
@EleSaturate: where you from, man?
Maka is right on track. Diablo games were never difficult unless you tried to play outside of your level. But this game just hit a wall and stopped being fun. I hope the pvp patch (if it even exists) will bring me back but right now GW2 is taking up 100% of my gaming time.

I think it's great that the prices are down, I can hardly afford a tier 7 gem.

Agreed 100% it's like they looked at D2 and said "welp, nobody ever did any key runs lets just change it so it's more difficult" Supid. You would think they would take somthing from their own book. + not making key tradeable sucks. I think 75% of my items from D2 came from me farming keys and selling them for HR's.

Agreed, light reading at work is always nice.
Or you could just link my way to a well written build that discuses the threshold of specific dificulties and what to focus on upgrading.

Butt hurt developers playing the hand of god. What happened to the days when a game was released and you could do whatever you wanted to do with it. If I find an upgrade and have to go to town to switch to wait for my MF to go back to full potential I'll flip shit. Or let alone lose a stack for each piece changed. So stupid.

If we're going to change/add somthing.
Give us the ability to add sockets and give us a drop that can add MF to any item (Ist rune anyone?)

Great I'm right on track then. Found some great tank items while farming on my WD. +128 str +78 all res +56 physical res +11% HP belt and 680 dps +255 vit +85str +550 LOH 1 hander. As soon as these dropped I started leveling a barb lol. Everything else I've bought off the Ah at great prices. Just random high +vit + res or +str +res ever all 3 at once. If you go this route you can get 200+ with one modifier and still hit 1500 str and 1200 vit for under 1mill for everything.

What should I shoot for for base armor and Res All? I have most of my gear purchased just want to make sure I don't overspend on what I don't have too. I am finding tons of 200+ to str +60all res and 200+ vit +60 all res on separate pieces. This is the best way im finding to buy gear at a budget. Just get 1 or 2 great stats on different pieces instead of mediocre to all 3 or 4 stats.
But I'm worried that my armor will be too low. Just want to know what base to shoot for? 5k?

Woot!!! I'm an f'ing r-tard now. Herp Derp 2+2 = 16
Where in that post did I even compair the two? People said d2 didn't have an end game, and it did. You hit lvl 96+ and you already had the gear to solo everything easily, what was left? Oh! they added torches and the annilus to farm farm farm. The only time I mention d3 is saying Kripp has a point with the end game in d3 being non-existant. They added another difficulty and in beta we QQ'ed that wouldn't be enough, but they didn't listen.
Lrn2read I didn't compair the two in that post.
