    Well if you have enough resists and vita you wont get 2 shotted. You will get 3-4 shotted though.

    Forget about "tanking" inferno as a wizard, you will never do it after act 1. You will probably have to rely on force armor like everybody else and avoid getting hit more than 3 or 4 times.

    Because the projectile hit you for 190% of your health. Force Armor can only absorb a maximum of 100%.

    Hmm I'm pretty sure it does :P Wouldnt have changed anything with my fight though if I'm wrong since it was just a nice addition and didn't want glass canon.

    1489intelligence and 21K dps WITH force weapon ? It probably means you have a really really shitty weapon :/

    Well 21K dps for A1 isn't bad though your problems may come from "getting used to it". Also you may try Teleport+Illusionist as a defensive, its pretty good. You have enough life and res if you go with force armor.

    The purpose of the route is to kill rares so that you get 5 stacks of nephalem and then kill siegebreaker (and other champions if you want). It will give you yellows this way. Also if you want more yellow you gotta switch your gear to mf just before landing a kill on a champion pack.

    Hey I'm not the first one but I'm still very happy :P
    So after exactly 2 weeks I finally managed to down Diablo on inferno difficulty and therefore beating my first estimate of 1 month :P
    Along with all his buddies before him and cleaning areas too (skipped some rares of course ;)).




    For those attempting him soon:

    1. I used force armor of course but for the fight I had to modify my usual gear. I usually clear in A3 and A4 with 35K HP, 250res, 1K hp/sec and 37K dps (no buff).
    After getting one shotted too many times, the fire zone thing killing me quickly and his debuff draining my life way too fast I switched to more defensive stats switching all my gems to amethysts (they were all topaz). I equiped a shield with Int / Vita / Allres and so reached 42K Hp 400Res and 22K dps (unbuff).

    2. Teleport + Illusionist felt like a must have for the fight, maybe someone with a lot of movement speed (20%) can play without. Fracture Rune made clone and Diablo often wasted an attack on the clones (like the fireball). Due to 22Kdps feeling fairly low for a 21Million HP fight (14Million base + 7Million shadow) I picked force weapon.
    Final build for him was:
    MM (Charged blast, for some reason seeker was failing so bad never reaching him out screen while charged blast worked fine...) I could have gotten with Arcane orb instead by I wanted Arcane Dynamo because hydra was probably doing more than half the damage.
    Hydra (Venom)
    Force armor
    Force Weapon (Reaching 30K dps)
    Diamond Skin
    Teleport (Fracture)
    Illusionist, Dynamo, Galv ward

    3. Took me a while. Its a fight of endurance, you gotta avoid all his shits while slowly burning him down. My down took me around 15minutes (5Min per phase), each try was between 5 and 10minutes. Lag killed me a couple of time.

    4. I feel the hardest part was the first one. For some reason I feel he was doing far more teleports on me than on phase 3. Phase 2 is fairly simple if you apply your reflexes from phase 1, only thing that may be annoying is an unprepared pop of your shadow clone with arcane orb it one shotted me once.

    No secret, screen 10 times in succession (using print screen makes a screen shot in the D3 folder in your documents), open them all, new picture, cut paste x10 times, save as.

    Energy armor is still the best armor for inferno.

    Its still 35% max hp loss but with a cap to 100% life as to the amount absorbed by Force armor. It just means you need a minimum of vitality to use Force armor effectively. In hell 15-20K life should be enough.

    Dude you have a lot of time to lose O_O

    Will the game have the same longevity as D2 ? I don't know its too early. Expansion(s) is/are on the way, its what makes a game last longer. Its also another era, I'm not sure there is any chance any company can release games that last this long. Only competitive game maybe like LoL and SC2.
    Diablo 2 1.00 wouldn't have lasted very long.

    As for the eternal debate D3 is the better game imo for the gameplay experience. I just wish they fix some of the current issues.
