Apr 24, 2014I'm using 3 Tal pieces (neck, chest, betl) + Rorg:Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
As can be seen I'm using electrocute, familiar-sparkflint and arcane torrent to activate meteors. I used to use frozen orb instead of arcane torrent, but my current build is much better, and also more fun to play.
Apr 22, 2014If you reroll anything than the resist all you will regret it later. As a wiz you want int on every single piece of gear (no exceptions), and since this ring has no int it's a nobrainer. As you didn't mention anything else I'm asuming this is a rare ring, where int goes up to 415. Since 10 int = 1 resist all you will get back about half of the resist all that you are loosing anyway, and in the process gain quite a bit of damage. Rerolling for int is also very efficient cost-wise since it will be the most common roll that comes up (along with vit), in other words you won't have to reroll it very often.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories

Ok, this is exactly the way I thought the skill worked. As soon as I get 5 stacks from my sig spell and use a spender, I loose the dynamo stacks. Even if channeling arcane torrent, ray of frost etc. So what exactly are people discussing in this thread? Is this something that no longer works, i.e. patched or hotfixed? I honestly don't understand any of it....Quote from blgns
Stacks are from Signature (Electrocute,Spectral Blades etc) spells, not spenders (Ray of Frost, Arcane Torrent). Spenders are buffed by consuming stacks.Quote from MadViking
I just tried both ray of frost and arcane torrent, neither is giving me stacks for arcane dynamo. Has this been hotfixed or something?

A pretty solid roll, don't realy need to reroll int or vit as they are good. When checking with enchantress seems I can reroll the armor up to 595. So my options seem one of the following:
1) Reroll armor for higher armor (roughly 200 more than now)
2) Reroll armor to reduced dmg from elites
3) Reroll fire resitance for -% melee dmg
Or something entirely different.

Apr 13, 20141) replace the Unity with a RoRGPosted in: Diablo III General Discussion
2) craft Aughilds bracers + shoulders
3) you now need 1 less Tal piece for full bonus so you can either drop the helm (and craft Cain helm + boots) or loose your not-so-good Tals neck and get a better neck with CC
4) since you are almost p400 you dont need movement speed on boots, get more defense
5) you have 1 single piece of gear with resist all (pants) and 1 with armor (shoulders) which is quite a bit on the low side for higher torrment
6) reroll attack speed on Thunderfury for % damage. Besides a high CC neck this will probably add the most to your dps.
7) CC: you are 16.5% below max on the 7 usual CC slots (ring x2, neck, gloves, bracers, helm, orb). Obviously a 0 CC neck is the easiest thing to improve, but also those 4.5% bracers (crafted Aughilds, see above). For neck a good option is Golden Gorget of Leoric, an A1 cache only legendary that is guarenteed to have CC. It also happens to be the same act where you will farm for a RoRG which makes it a lot more efficient. Get into a full group that split farms only a1 bounties on normal and you will get these 2 legendaries after a few hours. I've gotten 3-4 each with not too much effort.
Apr 13, 2014I've only managed to find 2 Tal pieces (belt + neck) and am also using a RoRG so I have the 3-piece bonus. I'm curious as to how usefull the meteor effect is from the 4-piece bonus. If its good I'll probably be spending all my shards gambling orbs till I get a Tal orb.Posted in: Wizard: The Ancient Repositories
Is the damage from the meteor the exact same as the unruned meteor skill? Will my Thunderfury proc a lightning meteor?
Apr 13, 2014MadViking posted a message on How big is chance to get Forgotten Soul from rift boss?Is the drop rate for this exactly the same as for the legendary crafting materials? I run rifts mostly on T3 and it seems the drop chance for souls is roughly 50%, which seems to fit nicely with the drop rate for legendary crafting materials and death's breath on T3 (=44%).Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Is there any official info on this topic, or perhaps somebody has compiled statistics to see the drop chance on various difficulty levels?
Apr 11, 2014If I want to do for example only act 1 bounties, it obviously saves time if I start in the act 1 camp. Most often I find myself starting in some other act, and first have to zoom out on bounty map, then zoom in on act 1, which does take a few seconds. How the hell do I start in a specific act? No matter where I go, I seem to start in some other act. I seriously have no clue how to change this, and it's annoying the hell out of mePosted in: Diablo III General Discussion

Too bad I rolled far from max int (750). I can reroll at enchantress for up to 750 int, but 3 sockets will still beat this (280 x 3 = 840). So what stat should I reroll for sockets? Both the vit and % life rolls are max. It's nice with CC on a chest as this isn't possible on rares (or any other chest piece?), but I think that for anything other than a glass cannon build 500 vit or 15% life is worth much more than 1.5CC. What do you guys say?
Jul 17, 2013With your current shoulders and other gear I definately don't recommend crafting shoulders (regardless of if it's str or vit shoulders) or any other type of crafting for that matter. Save your demonic essences and crafting materials for later.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
When upgrading gear, my main concern is that the upgrade is either very cheap (sniped for almost free, or can resell current item for almost as much) or very big (big gain in dps or defence). Big upgrades will usually be expensive, so if you are on a tight budget try to get the realy cheap ones. Try placing bids on gear just as the auction ends (like 5 seconds, use a stop watch), if you do this enough times you will get decent gear almost free.
Your defensive values are pretty good, you need to focus on increasing dps. In the long run you want to get neck and bracers with higher CC but the ones you have are fine for now, as are the pants. The Skorn and the shoulders are your best pieces, you'll be keeping those for a long time.
In your case try upgrading your helm, chest, belt and boots to same item but with usefull random roll. Each of those four items has one random roll each, and you got thorns on two and single resist (poison/arcane) on the other. That's about as bad as you can ever get. At least try to get +armor or physical resist, or some vitality (especially on the chest). For helm I wouldn't settle for anything else than a 6% CC one
I would also look to upgrade those IK gloves, they have two random rolls and you have attack speed and globe bonus. For a 2h rend build the attack speed isn't very useful, much better if it had crit damage. And just about any other roll is better than globe bonus, plus they have realy low str (it goes from 90 to 200, and you have 94.....). Getting two good random rolls AND high str is expensive, so I recommend looking for 10% CC, 40+ CD, 170+ str, and not mind if the 2nd random roll is crap since those gloves will beat your current ones by miles and miles.
Rings: since you aren't using a ruby in helm you might as well skip the Hellfire ring and get a proper rare ring instead. Look for a ring with high CC (preferably 6%), high CD (40+) and average damage (like +30-50 or similar). With those stats it doesn't even need any str on it, it will be a huge dps boost and such rings are usually a lot cheaper than rings with str on them.
I honestly think that your number one concern at the moment isn't gear, it's gaining paragon. More paragon = more magic find = better drops = get rich quicker. Maxing out paragon will give you 162 str and 108 vit for free.
Keep doing act 1 runs (woods-hollows-field, repeat) in 4-player games, preferably with a conviction mantra monk and a cm wizard. Use as high MP as possible, but where you don't die all the time (maybe 1-2 times per run) and that still lets you finish off elites reasonably fast (around 20 seconds max). Find a good team and just farm farm farm, you will be getting good drops eventually.
