Dec 15, 2011Greenjoke posted a message on A Look into the Opening CinematicWhy are you visiting a site like this if you don't want spoilers? You shouldn't be looking at any d3 related site at all if you want a 100% fresh experience when d3 releases. Every single post that's ever been on this site has been a spoiler in some manner.Posted in: News

Dec 8, 2011Greenjoke posted a message on Simplified Skill TooltipsI could care less about this in a game like diablo. Maybe in WoW I choose to do things for maximum dps (since others are depending on me), but with diablo I use what's fun because it's 100% my time. I'm not wasting anyone else's time.Posted in: News

Either way it's definitely good news and I'm glad we can move forward.

This tactic is biting them in the rear a bit with d3. That's why the community is such a mess. There's no room to complain about the community being angst-ridden when blizzard themselves caused it on purpose.
Anyone who's familiar with the political scene or corporate pr sees right through the way they've been behaving. It's 100% evident that they haven't been completely honest. This is why so many people are bothered and frustrated.

blizzard has poor communication skills and terrible time management. if they didn't then none of this nonsense would ever exist because not only would all of us be better informed, but the game would already be out anyways.
it's not necessarily a d3 problem. it's a blizzard problem. anyone who was a WoW player knows this. what i'm stating here isn't an opinion. it's a provable fact. if you try to argue otherwise then you're ignoring the past decade.

Also, if you cite official statements as proof then you are contradicting yourself. Time and time again official blizzard representatives said the game was practically done. It wasn't until after the korean delay that they were forced to walk that back with political weasel words. So which official blizzard statements are you saying we should believe? The ones before the korean delay or after? If you believe the korean rmah isn't the reason for the delay then their corporate spin team is doing a great job against you. Maybe mitt romney should hire them for the 2012 election?

But, hopefully when they do release it we'll have a kick ass rune system and maybe a few other things that would have been D3 Patch 1.1 instead of release. Also, I know they don't want to delay the game indefinitely because of korea. They've already delayed it a few months because of them, so I'm guessing that if the koreans still won't cooperate about the rmah they'll just release it to the rest of us anyways and give them a version with no rmah at all.
They wanted to release d3 in nov/dec, but couldn't because of the korean grb. I can't believe they want to wait all the way until summer to release it instead regardless of the rmah issue. They have to release it in feb/march at the latest.

sept 23 Michael Morhaime posts an unplanned delay announcement (remember that one?)
You can try to believe the korean rmah has nothing to do with this, but you're wrong. All the evidence points to that being the case. Blizzard reps (including bashiok) are purposely being obtuse when addressing this issue because they don't want to tell the truth and make everyone even more angry at s.korea.
Yes, blizzard would delay a game for s.korea. They just did. If this had not happened d3 would already be released.
This doesn't mean I won't buy d3 and play it to death. It's going to be a great game. It also doesn't mean that the corporate spin machine doesn't exist simply because the company is blizzard. The korean rmah delayed d3 and they don't want their customers to believe that's the case. It's 100% classic corporate public relations.

any other bugs or game tweaks could easily be made after launch. blizzard doesn't sit on a game until it's 100% perfect because it's never perfect. you're trying to argue that when d3 is eventually released, that there will be zero bugs and they'll never tweak the rune system or anything else.
but of course they will tweak it. they'll probably make sweeping changes at some point too. there will be probably be known bugs still active in release. so that excuse doesn't mean anything.
