prices are now set at € 54.90 for the standard edition and € 89.90 for the Collector.
Dear god I hope that's either not correct, or has different (non-corresponding) prices for U.S. consumers. IIRC € 89.90 = $ 118.69
THAT'S RIDICULOUS. I thought it was going to be more along the lines of $ 60 for the normal edition, $ 100 for the collectors. Is there any chance I still might be right? If not I might have to cancel my collectors edition...
You ll probably pay 99$ for the CE in North America. Software and Hardware items have never followed currency exchange rates, they are 80% arbitrary. Ever heard of the 299$, 299Euro PS3 theorem ?
In the end though it's almost never a good idea to buy it elsewhere, either there are some security (disc region) or prices are not different enough to cover shipping and taxes.
I live in the states so obviously I'm going to buy it at a local (Gamestop) store, but I was just suddenly worried it'd be more expensive and thus out of my price range.
BTW, it looks like you double-posted, so if you could please delete one of them. Thanks. -

Is it common practice of yours to punch girls in the face?
Shouldn't punch girls in the face... unless that's where they're storing their unborn fetus'. Punching chicks should be reserved to abortions and self-defense only.
JUST KIDDING! -

Just FYI he was saying that "this shitty game" is Path of Exile, not BF3. Maybe you're paranoid and jumped the gun because deep down it's YOU who thinks BF3 is shit? Not sure, just speculating.

Heh I think (no offense) you might be confused. No one is asking if it's broken or not working or some sorta of virus etc. I'm just wondering if it'll put someone in compromising situation if they have pirated things on their PC.

Even after EA adjusted the Origin EULA, I'm sure this is what worries Joe Everybody the most;
Gamespot - EA Changes Origin EULA
"According to the current agreement, "EA would never sell your personally identifiable information to anyone, nor would it ever use spyware or install spyware on users' machines. We and agents acting on our behalf do not share information that personally identifies you without your consent, except in rare instances where disclosure is required by law or to enforce EA's legal rights.""

Joe Everyman downloads torrents for movies/music/shows to enjoy from time to time, of stuff he had no intent on buying anyways (would otherwise not get the stuff whatsoever if it wasn't for torrents). He has a cracked version of Photoshop CS5 that he dabbles with to fix photos and play around with. Joe's been following Battlefield 3 & Modern Warfare 3 for some time now and is interested in playing the beta (and perhaps the full game if it's good) for Battlefield 3. He's heard plenty of negative stuff about Origin, which is required to play Battlefield 3, and is scared that downloading/installing Origin could be detrimental to him due to the downloaded movies/music/shows he has on his hard drive.
QUESTION: If you were "Joe Everyman" would you be okay with downloading/installing Origin? Yes or no, and why?

TL;DR - Origin, ye or nay?

That is all.
