actually, I just left the D3 beta launcher client on and it eventually updated itself after a while even though it doesn't really show any progress downloading. it just eventually changed to "Game is up to date" status.
Funny you should say that about RoF and Disintegrate with Arcane Torrent Oneoftheorder because I've been talking about doing those spells for days. I plan on casting Arcane Torrent with Red rune to get the 120% damage, and then Disintegrate while the damage is increased using Red rune because its damage is higher than AT, and I will be casting them both often. RoF is higher than disintegrate but costs more mana, and only hits one target...
A bunch of people are going to be using these 3 spells along with Frost Nova, Diamond Skin, and Energy Armor/Storm Armor.

I don't think your build will fly. no AP regen once Disintegrate and Arcane Torrent uses up all your AP.
you also choose Galvanizing Ward over Glass Cannon? Galvanizing Ward seems more like a passive I'd throw in the trash unless I'm playing HC. I'll take increased damage over safety any day on softcore.
I am very curious as to the (and if there is any) difference in playing hardcore over softcore. I know you can only die once as a hardcore char(character); what I was actually interested in was if you get better loot, more drops, better drops?
Also, are hardcore items only usable by hardcore chars?
In several videos it has been said that Hardcore will not only be more difficult in terms of bosses such as tactics and dmg output but certain drops will be Hardcore only, as incentive to look different and be a cut above. I don't remember which videos but if you scan through some of the more recent ones produced by Blizzard you will hear it for yourself... HC...... THE ONLY WAY TO BE =)
I think special HC only drops is a great idea. that way HC players can show off their hard work. this is coming from someone who plays softcore but has a lot of respect for HC players.

I would usually lean towards higher damage. I'd imagine this build might have a hard time killing efficiently in Hell or Inferno though.
Nevertheless, this might be a fun build to mess around with if you're in a party.

out of the 6 spells you mentioned, I currently only plan to use 1 of them :). I guess I'm not part of that "bunch".
