D3 Development teem Chill Out: D1/D2 fan of 10 years
My Category: I'm the sit back like a ninja and enjoy the development updates and news 1x-2x a week and trust D3 will be fun for its players.
From A-B: Lately the Jay announcement (24/02/2012) seems super emotional...I just wanted to throw this out there...theres two types of fans that I've gathered but it feel like only one gets heard the most...so I hope this motivates.
A: I've been waiting for years for D3 to come out and can't wait...please make it awesome...if not! as punishment I will feel jaded and not play...big deal...the Diablo franchise is in the retentive age of its life cycle and based on previous releases thats almost enough to make Snake on a Nokia phone feel fun....my friends and I cant wait to play.
B: I'am hyper analyzing the game based on the motivation to play it...but cant so the energy is reused on intense criticism...fueling posts which do not reflect on the whole audience...but I blindly assume they do.
Man up D3 team.... so far things look great, don't cave on me yet....although Ren and Stimpy, Malcom Gladwell books and Adventure Time can only be enjoyed for so long.
Open communication would mean that Bashiok couldn't troll us (as much). We can't have that.
haha but for real, why the @#$% not...it seems way more productive for both us and blizzards intentions of building hype, its like they dont want to spread themselves (blizzard) to thin which is impossible when dealing with Diablo fans....why not let us join in on the development ride. (*edit "even more than we already are/aren't")
Can we form a closer communication/relationship with Diablo's development and the (*edit "future) players?
That would be such a huge win win. The mystery element such as announcements of announcements feels like dirty marketing. im no marketing expert and i still feel like the lack of information seems to translate to a lac of interest in the community to allot of people (based on the responses I've read).
Can we have announcements of systems followed up by a more in-depth progression still honoring the integrity and non reveled elements of the game?
Feb seems logical but feels to early based on the information about systems still being developed (they havent even shown us the new rune system yet to test..right?, same as items on the website), I got an inkling it will be May. But in this case Id love to be wrong....there are Diablo 3 box's and preorders at my local EB game store...which had to get printed up,,,the print leaks are probs the same thing. blaow
I agree. I am not sure, but it looks like the number of D3 items displayed at D3 beta forum much smaller than that of D2. So I guess they are probably working on items.
Yeah I felt like there was a small amount of items on display as well...meaning allot of the items arent being displayed.
Definitely not. Items are one of the easiest things to make and balance. Considering that they have most of the models, they only need to do stats and balance them.
Yeah I think it would require allot of extra attention because of the role huge role items play in Diablo, its as important as skills and runes and look at the time put into those, do you agree?
Am I the only one who thinks the Release date has been delayed because of the game items??The item system still seems the most incomplete feature in the game, the website reflects this also.
Some random extra stuff I remember hearing (not exact quotes):
Items are the last thing they work on in the game
Website has most features up if not all except items
allot of negative feed back from the previous legendary items
items on the website are temporary
Anyone know how far the items are along with the game?
