posted a message on Everyone complaining
Tbh calling ppls dumb becouse they're unhappy about curent state of WD is retarded. For example my GF's really unhappy about WD (although she's sticking to class anyway) becouse pets are garbage and there's no point in droping offensive stats for defensive becouse... pets remain garbage. So one of the primary class mechanics is in a really bad shape.

Playing barb myself i can tell that with 1.0.3. 90% skills became viable, some of them synergize extremly well in specific builds. Contrary WD's still have tons of underpowered skills without any sygergy, probably the clunkiest resource system.

When ppls say: it's fine, i killed X-boss with X-random build you should realise that at some point of gear progression you can kill anything pressing 1 button. When i entered Act 2 inferno on barb Belial claimed few of my corpses, week later i could right click him with freenzy avoiding metiors only, now i can right click him 3 times faster without a single defensive passive. I cleared Act 3 prenerf and was strugling for a week, but week later i've been doing 5NV Cydaea/Asmo runs in 30 mins.

IMO many ppls are complaining about WD not becouse they can't make him work, but becouse some core class aspects are lacking - namely pets and viability of defensive builds (and looking on passive/runes WD were supposed to be viable in tanky role). Blizz really need to take the closest look at WDs of all classes when they get to balancing.

P.S. No need to link videos of WD's going tank mode with loads of live-on-hit becouse every class can stack vitality/all res/armor/live-on-hit and somewhat tank. Just monks/barbs will do triple better dmg meanwhille having way more survivability with the same setup. Not to mention that live-on-hit with sick amounts of it on weapons/amulets is gamebreakingly bad mechanic and should be nerfed similar to IAS.

and yes - loh does suck

It only works brilliant with ww build.

It works the best with WW build, otherwise it's still a good stat providing aditional hp regen over time. Although as a sword&board barb i actually ignore LoH becouse revenge/furious charge/health globes are enough hp regeneration for me and i mostly don't stand and right click enough time to really benefit from LoH.

When farming, do you guys tend to just leap/charge through all the trash until you come across the elite packs or do you clear full (i.e. killing all white trash as well)?

Leap and charge, deal with what still follows you when you encounter elites. Exept... really bad mobs like succubus debuffing your armor, goat cultists that place shields and the likes of them - generally ranged mobs that bring you aditional pain without any benefit.

Don't see any need to adjust NV. I already kill bosses in whatever act i'm farming since eventually i get to them and with measly 70 MF i'm getting 2-3 rares most of the time. Since bosses drop like 6-7 items i suppose ppls with really high magic find are getting almost all rares from boss.

Right now we are only doing Act 1 since its been said Act 3 loots is bugged.

Just to mention - in Act 2 i'm getting 2ce more 63ish items then in Act 3. Really messed up drop rates, had to give up on act 3 farming after 3 evenings of getting nothing worthy.

Lies about #1, some fire-res monk can pick if for a few hundreds for sure - solid dex, resists all from one with everything passive and solid life boost. Definetly possible to sell on GMAH.

You dont know a lot about Kripp do you ;) Diablo 3 isnt the only game he has every played you know.

This community doesnt seem very progressive or open at all. Im getting the impression that you are all a bunch of grumpy angry kids who gets upset every time someone says the word "Diablo"

Sorry, can you enlight me on his competitive achievments in other games? Becouse i seriously never ever heard of him exept for beating D3 farmfest through exploiting multiple flawed mechanics instead of reporting them to Blizzard and trying to do play how it was intended to. Besides i know way serious players who've beat D3 but aren't attention whoring like he does.

Also why does he make a random suggestion video instead of posting all his ideas on official B.net forums where developers actually read topics? Becouse he's attention whore, and not even funny at that like Athene is sometimes.

Also community is fine, simply looking on Barb forums you'll see there well written guides that helped many (and me too) to pick class and make it through inferno. Ppls are sharing farm spots, tips, theorycrafting - and yet you aren't satisfied with community becouse some ppls disagree with few random suggestions of "D3 guru".

Thing is your beloved Kripp does not represent community. His suggestions do nothing for increasing quality of gameplay instead they're promoting quantity of gameplay and ppls posting on official forums are contributing much more to game development then he does with his streams and videos. And truth to be told Blizzard has enough ideas of how to improve different aspects of their games, they base game changes on players expiriences (shared on blizz forums) and their own monitoring rather then on random players178519 video #167.

    Kripp is a competitive gamer.
    LMAO

Don't want to burst your buble but no competitive gamers are playing D3 exept for some fun factor, becouse this game isn't competitive. compared to SC2, MOBAs, FPS and even WoW. Not to mention since release till 1.03 wholle competition thing was about who's going to kill more goblins or farm siegebreaker with 40K hitting Tyrael.

This game is not competitive, it's just a game to waste your time on whille you're tired after work and even pvp ladder won't fix it becouse getting to the top is possible through $ investments, And many competitive young guys (who're actually most competitive crowd in all games) will be walked over buy 3-4K$ equiped heroes of RMAH-ARENA.

If you're looking for competitive TDM with some rpg-like setting then Bloodline Champions are miles ahead of D3 competition wise becouse they provide equal footing for oponents.

D2 had a lot more "end game" than D3. No need to compare to fucking wow or any other mmo.

Did you really play D2? What end game did D2 have that D3 is lacking other than the lame hostile mode and dueling?
If you compare it to d2 that came out 13 years ago. Where to get to max level took you forever, where ladder was reset frequently, etc etc - d3 is pathetic.

That's exactly the point, it was 13 years ago. Since then we grown accustomed to MMOs with new locations/gear tiers/ladder resets/new bosses etc. If D3 came out 13 years ago it would be miles ahead of D2 in both design and replayability, but now reality is different and Blizzard had to make tremendous efforts so ppls would play this game at least half time they played D2. Essentially they failed or didn't try hard enough becouse they knew that replayable D3 would hurt their WoW subscriptions.

just so you know kripp farmed his gear with a group of close friends. they spent many nights just farming goblins all night long...

Yea that's the right way to do things, just farm that goblins all night long. Not like you can die to them anyway, best hardcore mode buddies that goblins are.

Now OT - problem is that many don't realise what is D3. It's not a MMO, it's a simple ARPG with multiplayer mode (exept for AH tbh). Why complain that you're beating monsters already and there's no need in better gear when in D2 it was exactly the same - i rolfstomped hell mode on both necro and sorc loooooong before they got a gear worth mentioning.

PvP ladders and stuff are a viable timesinks, but most won't care about them becouse there'll be no competitive factor. Lets be honest pvp gameplay wise D3 is somewhat like MOBA - small numbers of active skills, point-and-click movement and... that's it. There's no map awareness involved, no map control, no decisions when to farm and when to stick as a team, no ban-pick strategy, only few heroes (with nearly infinite amount of builds though trololo) etc. It's a simple TDM like Quake and UT series (that were both extremly competitive) had, exept it's ARPG where your stats are determined by your gear. And here you enter a vicious cycle: better gear -> better at pvp -> even better gear -> even better at pvp etc.

You can argue that another Blizzard franchise - WoW uses the same pvp system, but... it is not. Pretty much everyone can get top tier pvp set with minimum time spent so in the end everyones gear is normalized. Ofc some will argue that: "omg he had X legendary and stomped me hard", but trust me it won't be even remotely close to difference between a guy who spent 1500$ on RMAH and your average joe. So generally D3 is similar to ... all those F2P MMOs where you pay-to-win instead of play-to-win. Many of you will say - "stfu WoW pvp is horrible", but just wait - D3 pvp will be triple as horrible, five times as boring and ten times as frustraiting as WoW once.

So no matter what you're all looking for in D3 the simple fact stays - D3 is a simple game where you're farming gear for the sake of farming gear faster. Pretty much the same D2, exept one thing - Blizz is free to do with your hardfarmed gear whatever it wants. Spent your lucky 10mil on that 14 IAS amulet? Your bad for exploiting our flawed mechanic so tommorow it'll be 7 IAS amulet (no i'm not DH in denial crying a river over IAS nerf, just pointing out of first precedent that affected insane amount of ppls).

If Blizz would be trully interested in D3 long live the AH would be gold only and they would be earning money with frequent DLC - like new act once in 4-5 months with new tier of drops, new monsters, new item/monster affixes, followers, recipes (list whatever you want) for 10-15$. Instead they introduce RMAH and tax all sales - lazy mans way.

So the long story short - D3 is a placeholder till WoW MoP expansion comes out, then most of MMO crowd will get back to killing dragons and ppls sticking with D3 will play game for what it is - an endless gear farm.

Not mandatory for sure, using 200str+/60ish vit/MF/resist all belt and feeling fine. Actually i cleared act 3 and most of act 4 before nerf without string of ears too (and generally without -dmg% affixes on any items).

posted a message on Is it me or is act 3 loot nerfed?
I would say it's RNG. Yestoday i got ilvl 63 items from half packsi killed in Act 3, some were blues and some were yellows (too bad no decent rolls on affixes). Also i went to help friend through act 2 and both of us got few ilvl 63 items. Only thing to mention is that all ilvl 63 items were archon armor pieces, got zero weapons above ilvl 61. Overall Blizzard really have to evaluate global drop rates, since there might be peoples getting top tier items every 2d pack, and those who don't get one in 20 packs cleared so it's tought to say if drops are averaging at 8% or not.
