Jul 23, 2012Even measly 3% LL is a serious business when you blow packs with WOTB (Slaughter), but generally for average gear LoH is better. Especially for prolonged fights when you're out of cds or dealing with shielding affix pack.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
Jul 23, 2012SnB builds are working fine as well, you simply need to look for ways of improving your dps since your defensive stats are fine. Start with switching one of your passives that grant less armor to 5 crit/50% crit dmg. Perhaps drop your curent shield in favour of huge str/lots of crit chance once, buy weapon with str/socket in 850ish dps range (they went down in price a lot), smack 70% crit dmg gem there and your dps will be much better already. From there on try to maintain your resists/armor meanwhille looking for ways to increase your dps, there're plenty of SnB barbs with 50K+ dps and still solid 800-1K resists/high block and armor.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
Jul 20, 2012Nyaldee posted a message on My Butthurt - Disheartened from lack of legendariesTbh i'm more upset with 5 legedary drops in past week that all got disenchanted couse they were so bad.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Jul 13, 2012Nyaldee posted a message on Sooo, most barb QQ about Act 3/4. One topic for all! How to handle Mobs/Elite.Or you could gear for WW/Tornado build and let this range mobs die chasing you, if you didn't blow them up with WOTB-Slaughter whithin 5 sec.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
P.S. Actually act 3 quillbeasts and goat shamans are way more annoying then anything in Act 4. Honestly would like Blizz to increase amount of elites in Act 4 to make it a choice between farming it or Act 3.

as for the first one just look like a random landscape tile
That random landscape tile spawns incredible amount of regular mobs though. Got me interested too but couldn't find any way to get down there unfortunatly.

From what I've tested, past 200% you will see minor results but below that, feels like you are not wearing any.
That's a false statement. When i did farm runs with monk in ~120MF (~200 with NV) drop quality difference was way above runing with NV and zero MF. Getting 3 rares/pack was often occurence, not to mention even white mobs droping blue/rare frequently.
On the contrary playing barb with zero MF i mostly see 1 rare/elites on 5xNV, sometimes 2 but never higher.
Imo after you've enough dps/defencive stats to blow champs it's time to gear for MF, although it costs a lot atm.
Jul 8, 2012Cleared act 4 inferno as both sword&board and sprint/ww build easily with gear worth lot less then 50mil. Have to say that imo sword&board is more gear dependant then sprint/ww build where you get some cheap LoH offhand, get 40% crit and good to go. WOTB slaughter nearly instagibs most packs as sprint/ww, even when you pull couple packs at time. And tbh changing build after a long time proved itself as a best cure from boredom.Posted in: Barbarian: Bastion's Keep
Jul 6, 2012Agree with OP, i've a feeling that WD is the most gimped class atm. It's entirely possible to beat inferno on WD, but playstyle isn't fun when flashiest skills are useless. Hope Blizz will take a serious look on WD, especially in pet aspect of the class. Even #1 pet skill fetish army often feels underpowered - fetishes run in, hit, run out. Their dps uptime is horrible. Same goes for fetishes spawned with passive. Just make this fellows choose their target of choice and stick to it - they would do tons more dps. Rest summons are not even worth mentioning.Posted in: Witch Doctor: The Mbwiru Eikura
Also why do we see such dmg difference between similar Wizzard/Monk and WD spells - for example Spider queen is pretty similar to blizzard, hydra and sweeping wind - PBAOE passive dmg, but it's a lot weaker then its counterparts.

There are already at least 3x differed barb builds. Revenge Barb, Tornado Barb, Range Barb.
If you want to use spenders play tornado or range barb.
+1 man. Seriously looks like ppls out of touch with class are suggesting stupid ideas. Sword&board is probably the only spec benefiting from full rage bar via berserking rage, whille tornado/weapon throw/seismic slam builds are using rage for dealing dmg far above "Nominal DPS Gain that is Probably Not Worth It".
Only suggestion that i liked is adding some resists to warcry by default. That indeed will make other runes more attractive.
Jul 4, 2012Well past few days i've yet to do a single farm run in D3, somehow every time i load game i'm getting a feeling there's not much to do. It may've to do with being bored of runing same build for extended amount of time, whille i'm lacking gold to effectivly switch build to something else. Also i'm not sure that changing build would cure the situation so spending cash on RMAH doesn't look like a good investment.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Tbh i reinstalled HoN and it was a breath of fresh air compared to grinding down elites in D3. Also most of my friends quited D3 so nothing really holds me back now. Atm D3 is just as good as most of single player titles for PS3, exept D3 provides you 1/4 content and offers you a choice to play through it 4 times. Was looking forward to D3 out of nostalgy for D2 times, but nowdays it just doesn't strike my fancy. Wish they had PvP ready by reliase, not comming up in the "distant future".

I'm currently using a 540dps weapon with 260 vitality and 648 life on hit.
My shield is a 20% block SS with vitality and all resist.
9500 armor, 60K health, 875 phys resist and 730 others (buffed), as well as 217 life per second.
What would you prioritize -- more block (better shield or legendary armor with block), more life on hit, or more vitality/resists/armor? Or even a higher damage weapon?
You can definetly drop your LoH weapon in favour of higher dps/str/vit combo, increasing resists to 1K isn't bad too. Also some LoH amount you can pick from amulet. But all in all your stats are pretty fine even for act 3, i would look for a ways to increase dmg without sacrificing survivability.
And yeh sword&board builds are fine, you can push to pretty high dps with them remaining very tanky. And with amount of cash some ppls pour into 2H builds to show imba crits you can build nearly unkillable swoard&board barb. To each their own)
