Miss actually being able to play. Their battletag system has stupid retard naming restrictions thats hindering a lot of people from making seemingly harmless names. I have Beta access but cannot play unless i pick some random name that no one knows me by that i could potentially be stuck with forever.

"Mikuro" is apparantly a naming violation, despite it being the handle I had for SC/D2/War3, multiple characters in warcraft and the name of my SC2 account. Go figure :P

Woohoo, Good news about the battletag changes.

I haven't been able to use the ID "Mikuro" ever since it went live which is hindering my ability to play beta... good thing i did multiple play throughs before they activated the BattleTag requirement. I'd just pick another name but the website straight up says choose carefully, you likely won't be able to change it and i've used the one I want in games for years.

I reallly want this game, but i'm fully expecting this "Surprise" to be more hype added to the already massively over-hyped, hype of the non-release date hype. Etc

I don't know about anyone else, but all of Blizzards repeated hype attempts are getting a little irritating/annoying at this point. It's not like they're actually going to release anything we all want to know (Aka, Release Date), they never do. The quote "little something fun" is probably just another contest or wallpaper.

    Great.

Except I still can't use the battletag I want, because for some reason "Mikuro" is a violation of naming policies. Nevermind that it's my Starcraft 2 handle name and that of several Warcraft characters -and- previous D3 beta character names.

Guys seriously wtf? It asks me to create my battlenet identity(battletag). I get redirected, create it successfully. Then try to login and it keeps asking me to create identity. For f's sake.

Least you can make one :(

It told me that "Mikuro" was in violation of the Blizzard naming policies. Appears to be a glitch a lot of other people are having with seemingly harmless names after looking at their Naming Policy FAQ page.

why remove lethal decoy and not chaange it back to its original design??

I'm all for the Monk, it's going to be my first hero. With that thought, Lethal Decoy never seemed to fit with the monks play style, it just seemed like a random oddball skill tossed into the monks kit for no particular reason. More Kung-Fu skills please!

big disappointment for me about the gems so far. not many options, some useless. i would really expect more to come.

also the last "rank" of the rune isnt a big improvement to previous. just basic progression. to make a rune with 58 vit i need 3 runes with 54 vit ? not sure i will do that. personally i would rather sell the 58 vit rune or those 3 54 vit runes and use by myself the 54 vit also... i dont see much of point in using the best runes by myself when the progress is totally linear and small.

It's probably just for the extreme min-maxers, and you'd be surprised how many of them are out there that need to squeeze every last point from everything they possibly can. They'll be the ones going for the highest levels.

I can't quite tell why but this screenshot looks pretty bad, I get an indie vibe from it.

Yeah it's just a really bad screenshot, not to mention the arcane "Lines?" still have major issues clipping with the walls in the beta, they don't look too bad out in the open but in confined areas it's pretty terrible.

posted a message on Ordering from Amazon.com - Good Idea?
I currently have the collector's edition on pre-order with Amazon, it's setup for 1 day shipping right now ($9, not like i wouldn't pay that much in tax if I got it from Gamestop or something).

My understanding is that when a release date is actually given, Amazon opens up what is called Release Day Shipping where it's cheaper than 1 day, and it's guaranteed to arrive on the release day of the game, I'm hoping that option pops up. If not I'll just have to wait till later that afternoon, whatever works.

Considering the game is online only and potentially millions of people will be logging in to play it the first day, I'm not so sure we'll all be playing as much as we think we will on release day, Blizzard is likely to have server issues at the beginning, perhaps it'll be a flawless launch though, who knows.

posted a message on Is Blizzard loosing its grounds?
I took a look at the spoilers even after telling myself I shouldn't, but I figure by the time the game actually comes out (Likely 2+ months or more away), I'll have forgotten what the pictures and everything look like anyways. Then once the game is actually about to be released, it's time to avoid any websites like these until I finish the game myself.

It's often the people who rush through the game, or the people who pirate them that ruin the games more than anything, a good example being back when Mass Effect 2 was about to release. Two weeks before the game was out there was a group running rampant on all the Bioware forums posting in all caps the turning point of the game in subject lines, there was no way to avoid the spoiler information before it was too late.

Not to nitpick or anything here, I've already seen them myself but some might consider the Act 4 loading screen to be a HUGE spoiler (Since it's all heavenly looking and what not) and it's going to be right in their face on the main screen.

Maybe add a spoiler tag to ACT 3 and 4 pics?

posted a message on Anyone else think that the monk needs more skills?!
He's potentially getting one as mentioned by Jay Wilson in this Nov 16th IGN Interview.

    http://uk.pc.ign.com/articles/121/1212676p1.html

IGN: Okay. So when you give the monk a new skill, is it the more technical first and then the visual flair follows?

JW: I would say it's "feel first." Like what does it feel like this class needs? I'll use the monk again as an example because we're adding a new skill to the monk ...which is kind of crazy, we've stopped adding new skills a while ago.

IGN: Can you talk about what that skill is?

JW: Yeah. It's not done yet, so I don't know exactly what it's going to look like.

    IGN: No problem.

JW: Basically what we're talking about is [the monk] needed a damage bomb. He needs the occasional ability to just AOE around him effectively. We used to have an ability that we called Circle of Wrath -- that was like Holy Nova in World of Warcraft -- where it does damage and it heals, but for Diablo we felt like that was a confusing skill so we changed it to just a pure healing skill. We took the wrath out of it. But then we found we missed what wrath used to do.

And so we decided to separate them. So we'll have two different [abilities], but then we're also talking about a bunch of ideas to make it more interesting than just a way to AOE.
