posted a message on Need an explanation about Barb and Dh comparison

You must be kidding. But then again, your last statement is beyond hilarious, so maybe that's what you actually think and are not joking. Your comparison to the bracers vs. the updated Nat set has absolutely nothing in common. As if the updated IK set, Raekor set, and Wastes set offer nothing to boost your char, right? DH's don't need armor sets or set bonuses! Don't give them survival bonuses, because it's too much fun dying in 1-hit to a jailer effect!

If Blizzard made bracers for other classes that gave every rune of their most powerful cooldown, and not for Barbs, maybe you'd understand. If you have played Barb for as long as you have claimed, I figured you'd understand the overpowered synergy of the bracers more than it just being "a little op."

Fact of the matter is that people want the easiest mode and least path of resistance. Those bracers gave you that...on the PTR. It's getting really annoying that the bnet whining is trickling here more and more.

I hope that, after this huge defaillance, blizzard will reconsider their position about Mortick :ban:

For the love of god give it up. You don't need those goddamned bracers to do well in GRifts. The new WW set is amazing and the Raekor set is still great without some stupid bracers that make the game even more faceroll. Sorry for your loss, FOTM rerollers.

posted a message on Best T6 Speed Clearing Class for S3?

^ Both have insanely fast T6 clears. The good thing about this patch is that all of the classes appear to wipe out T6 relatively quick. I'm personally going monk for season 3 speed clears and GR progression.

Don't discount the stupid crap people beg for, even though it should be obvious for April Fool's Day. With its implementation in WoW, don't write-off the idea of it creeping into D3 with enough crying from the masses. I sure as hell don't want it though.

I don't think the exclusive gear is worth the bother

That's not the only reason to play seasons, but the good thing about this game is that it allows you to make that choice either way.

Why do people carry so much gear? When the season is over, I moved my stuff over, compared the stats between duplicates, and salvaged the rest. I notice that same trend in PoE, where people move everything to their stash just because, with items they will never use. Hello 20x rings of garbage, instead of selling you, I'll just stick you in my stash to never get moved again!

It's more of a like: ''Ah! I saw a build that uses <insert random item> ! I'll try it out !!'' (hoards support items for the build, never uses them([like a cold archon wiz that I tried :D])

I can understand that, and I certainly hold on to gear for that same very reason (minus Invokers - I get so pissed off when that gear drops). I was watching Quinn69 stream last night, and in his bank tab, he had at least 8 or 9 Sunwuko amulets. I see that as having absolutely no value to hold onto that many, like old people holding onto thousands of newpapers in their garage/basement/attic.

In fact, the only duplicates I have in my bank are the 2 lvl 60 IK maces, pre and post item changes where blue weapons were better than it.

@Detruncate - Well written post, I agree with your thoughts as well. I keep almost everything for every class just in case a major change comes , like what we will see soon, but I have 1.5 tabs of free space afterwards. I don't know, maybe I'm just doing it wrong and should have a bank filled to the brim as well lol.

posted a message on Ancient weapons idea/suggestion
    Quote from Spiralphoenix5»

Normal weapons should just have the same damage range as Ancients. Then the only benefit to ancient is stat increases, which are meaningful but not gamebreaking (as with ancient armor pieces).

It would make ancient weapons nice, but not essentially required. It's just the increased damage that makes them that way.

I agree with your ideas. It pained me to salvage non-ancient Furnaces because of how low the damage was, despite the +bonus to elites.

The angelic wing are from the Vanilla Collector's Edition. If you can find a boxed set for sale, you'll be able to get them. RoS CE and digital deluxe versions give you the Imperius wings.

I think 2 months is too short. It really takes time to get your optimum items, then trying for the ancient versions of gear and pushing along into GR progression. I would be extremely pleased with 3-4 seasons per year.

posted a message on How to make Diablo 3 better

I agree with most of your points, they are well-stated. Every time I see fire chains + electrify + anything else when playing my barb, my anus gets prepared for destruction. Every time I hit a GR boss that is considered progression from my previous high, it is always Raiziel I face.. I really, really, really hate Raiziel.

posted a message on Re-roll furnace

I'm pretty jealous, not gonna lie. I got my first Furnace this morning, but it wasn't an ancient. Sadly, it rolled 50% elite dmg bonus, but only was a whopping 3.2k dps with no socket. Back to the grind.

posted a message on (Seasons) Do you 'Slow Roll' your GR's early on, or speed clear to your max?

My roll couldn't get any slower to start. The only items I was getting from rifts and GRs were the Krelm's set and the legendary rejuv potion, and lots of them. Gambling finally gave me enough gear to run T2 bounties and upper-teen GRs more comfortably, but it was beyond frustrating to be so gear limited.
