There are no "automated" list creation tools like reports generated from a general database in Media Wiki here on Diablo Wiki.
The Diablo III lists still require someone to manually identify each item that goes into them. I believe Apoc is working on getting the same style system set up for D2 items.
As for being able to more easily identify which items might qualify for which lists (at least for Diablo III) we will be expanding our categorization to include more variables now that most possibilities have at least been identified. (this will probably take until sometime around Christmas to complete especially with continued updates taking priority of our time). You are more than welcome to come and assist us to speed up the process
The wiki software automatically sorts by page title. and page titles are designated by in game names. We can override that, but since 99% of our categorization is done via the templates, it becomes problematic.
You can always leave "The" out of your search and it should still return the appropriate result.
You can't compare how a database site works in comparison to how a wiki works. Probably the best we would be able to do is expand on our categorization tree to include categories for the various variables.
And a wiki IS a form of database, it's just not wired as directly as something like wowstead.
Also, keep in mind that most of the armor pieces are going to have both Male and Female images to display. So in most cases you aren't talking about displaying 5 images, but 10.
The server builds the file and the client simply sees the result. This is why changes to highly used templates should be limited because the server has to parse out every change (including reversions) to every instance of the template on the wiki.
You know Talkerst, you'd be more likely to get answers to questions about the wiki if you ask them on the wiki....
3. The logo should be rectangular in size so it can fit on anything.
I disagree with point 3. We need a logo that will serve us here on Dfans, as well as the wiki (required 150px x 150px for wiki use) as well as facebook, twitter, and youtube.
You will see that the latest import of skill descriptions (on the individual skill pages) now have numbers rather than forumlas. I'm not sure what they represent, but I will try to find out once the guys are back in the office.
There are some formatting issues that I'm having to deal with, but I just wanted you to know.

I will continue to expand this as we get more variables hard coded.

Yeah, it's all of that, but it's not workable on the wiki. Media wiki does not support click to change frames.
