May 15, 2008Festerfaust posted a message on Blizzcon 2008 AnnouncedAlthough Blizz has stated the extra hall is to accommodate more fans, I don't think that is the only reason. They won't just have a big empty hall with lots of extra people standing in it, which means they will be using the hall to display stuff. I reckon that instread of WoW and SC2 overflowing into the third hall it will be used for something else.Posted in: News
Even if the third hall is chockers with this new stuff, provided they have left enough room to squeeze in even a handful of fans then they have accomplished the goal of accommodating more people. -
May 15, 2008Festerfaust posted a message on Blizzcon 2008 AnnouncedTwo events in the one year. Well to me that seems a bit excessive if they are only planning on showing us some more SC2 and WotLK stuff.Posted in: News
Especially since they are already keeping in touch with the community regarding SC2's development with their weekly Q&A's.
And they have just released an bunch of new WotLK info such as the flying mount combat, and info about obtaining a Death Knight and how his rune system works.
I think they have something else to show us, something major. I can only hope that it is indeed D3 and not a new IP. I would like to see what else they can pull out of their hat, but not at the cost of D3. -

I agree, this it is a very good sign (cue giddy laughter).
However, I hope this doesn't mean there won't be a DIII announcement in June. I don't want yet another wait before we get our lovin'. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Was pretty funny considering the game was a dud (my opinion). But I wonder how many people will be doing the same for D3.
I sure will.

I never thought of that. The idea that the 'humans' may have their powers return will be awesome. Maybe the game won't simply be Heaven vs Hell but Heaven vs Hell vs Human.

But being me, I would probably pay. Unless the game turned out really shit.

Personally, I think a D3 trailer would make me all giddy like a schoolgirl. You know, but without the whole kissing boys behind they gym thing...
Erm....

Others created Castaway Studios, which is currently looking for a buyer as they are going under due to financial concerns (they haven't made any money yet).
Perhaps them leaving was never the worst thing for Diablo III. Perhaps the relocation of Blizzard North was so Blizzard can ensure that the remaining team gets their shit sorted.

As it's not an announcement, my guess is it's probably concept art for an 'unannounced title' that may just happen to involve a large red demon. The banner on this site includes a pic of Diablo's head which I have seen elsewhere. I think maybe this pic along with http://users.tpg.com.au/ludwig83//diablo-archive.jpg may be unveiled as the 'new look' of Diablo.

If the only 'proof' available at this time is someone's word that "it's in development", well we pretty knew that already. My interpretation of proof will be a screenshot, or an official announcement, or a video clip. Rest assured I want D3 as much as any of us, and like to believe it is in the works.
Also, if you are able to port D2 characters across, then surely the D2 classes would also be available in the new game to create from scratch, meaning they would have the exact same skill sets and characteristics; something I can't imagine happening.
