I disagree with a few of the replies in this thread.
Overall solo will net you you less experience than group play but you can still hit very respectable exp/hour amounts. A rule of thumb I use for paragon farming (solo or group play regardless) is to do GRs at the highest level possible while clearing and closing the rift between 5-6 minutes.
to get keys I'd recommend doing T11 or T12 speeds as they are easier in comparison to T13 (obviously) but don't gimp you too much in getting 3 keys to drop per rift.
overall it won't take you anywhere near 14 hours a day. To hit paragon 1,000. Don't worry!
paragon 1,000 requires a cumulative 10.3 Trillion experience. I'd think a casual solo player can conservatively get 50billion exp/hour.
Therefore it would take about 200 hours of rifting.
Yeah I know many people say, "play what you want, who cares what the meta is". I understand this stance but, for me personally, if I'm not optimizing the time I play the game it becomes un-fun. In my opinion that's directly tied to what's meta and what can allow me to group and grind paragon most easily.
It's unfortunate that many classes haven't been in the 4-man meta in years, furthermore that many of those same classes' solo builds have remained unchanged in an equal amount of time (at least up to this coming season):
LoN Bomber, FoK DH, Gen Monk, Firebirds Wiz, Charge Barb/Frenzy Thorns, other I'm sure I forgot...

IK is better unassumigly because it doesn't require the sue of zodiac to keep up WotB.
Being able to use skull grasp coe and compass rose or using skull and FandR are better dmg overall by far.

No change in the meta IMO only difference is monk will now be more readily changeable with Barb as the 4th group spot.
Meta as follows:
Firebirds Wizard
zDPS WD
zDPS DH
zDPS barb or Monk
Wizards could only get around 50 stacks on RGs (boss depending) and were still critting for around 20+ trillion.
This Nerf is really only going to hurt solo play wizards
