I thought all games had limits to the number of characters you could create on a specific server/realm/region?
Some people will complain about anything. [rolls_eyes]

I hate that chick who thinks she can just be a slutty Tyrael and she might win. Fucking lazy.
Jealous of her hotness. She's much better than fat wizard. -

Guess I'll just go with my 23" and see what kinda resolution I can run. I hope it's 2560 so Diablo 3 pretty
Thanks for the work Winged, I appreciate it!

As of right now I don't have an HD monitor, but a standard 19" DVI and I'm running 1440, so I'm assuming that the upgrade would bring me up to 2560?

I'm currently looking at 23" monitor (because I don't really like huge monitors) 1920x1080 full HD monitors and I see some that are 16:9 and some that are 16:10.
Can anyone get into details for me? Thanks ;D

I find it pretty amusing that he's blogging about a game that he plans on playing, once it's released, which has been in development since before he was born.

Anyways here's what I came up with...please correct me if I'm wrong here.
Gem level | Number of level 1 gems required
1 | 1
2 | 4
3 | 16
4 | 64
5 | 256
6 | 1,024
7 | 4,096
8 | 16,384
9 | 65,536
10 | 262,144
11 | 1,048,576
12 | 4,194,304
13 | 16,777,216
14 | 67,108,864
Can this really be right? My method was multiply the number of level 1 gems in the previous gem level by 4 to find out how many are needed. If this is right, that's a lot of gems! ;x
And since level 5 gems are the highest level dropped in game (according to the Blizzcon video I was watching), here's how many level 5 gems we need to get a level 14 gem (using the same method as above, which I admit, could very well be wrong).
Gem level | Number of level 5 gems required
5 | 1
6 | 4
7 | 16
8 | 64
9 | 256
10 | 1024
11 | 4096
12 | 16,384
13 | 65,536
14 | 262,144
So basically, if my math is right, most of us won't have a level 14 gem for a very, very long time. Good thing we are free to remove gems from items as we wish!

I must say that, as a future Wizard, I'm jealous ;x

Exactly. I posted all of this in 2 threads prior to this but they were removed for some reason. Anyways, do you think this is overpowered? It seems like it's gonna be really beastly ;x

Sorry for the lackluster post, I'm kind of tired. Will go more in depth about this at a later time.
If you are the moderator that has been deleting my previous posts regarding this topic, would you please be so kind as to message me about why the posts have been deleted? I'm not trying to break board rules, I'm simply trying to initiate some discussion about this interesting in-game possibility. From what I can tell, this is no different than any other posts on the boards. Anyways, please contact me. Thanks!

Weak Spot - Increases critical strike damage by 100%
Ruthless - Increases critical strike chance by 5% and increases critical strike damage by 50%.
Frenzied Attacks - When wielding two weapons, the character has 20% increased critical strike chance and 30% increased critical strike damage.
If we add this all up we see that the barbarian (while wielding 2 weapons) has a base 25% critical strike chance, and an extra 180% damage on critical strikes without any bonus from stats and/or items!.
I plan on playing a Wizard to begin with, but if I start a second character it will be a Barbarian with this setup for sure. What are your thoughts on this?
Edit: Apparently the duplicate of this post was deleted from the general boards. My purpose of posting it there was to avoid people (mainly those who plan on rolling Barbarians) being one sided in their discussion of the topic. Now that the topic only exists here, I ask that you try not to be biased in your response. Thanks!

So after looking through the class skills (specifically passives), I came across something interesting and unique about the Barbarian that none of the other classes can even come close to. As most of us know, our characters will eventually have 3 passive skills. What I came across, and what I fear is going to make the Barbarian's damage much higher than any other class, is a combination of these 3 passive skills:
Weak Spot - Increases critical strike damage by 100%
Ruthless - Increases critical strike chance by 5% and increases critical strike damage by 50%.
Frenzied Attacks - When wielding two weapons, the character has 20% increased critical strike chance and 30% increased critical strike damage.
If we add this all up we see that the barbarian (while wielding 2 weapons) has a base 25% critical strike chance, and an extra 180% damage on critical strikes without any bonus from stats and/or items!.
