I honestly don't see them as fees at all.
Blizzard owns all of the items and currency (Battle.net ToU 9. C.) Using the AH is just a way to broker the rental of an item from one person to another.
Assuming you are selling commodities and cashing out to Pay Pal, you would receive a 72.25% commission. Considering that they are doing all of the advertising and paper work for you that is outstanding.
Why do I see it this way? The Seller (being the person that puts the item on the AH) can not and will not ever pay these fees. The Buyer pays these fees. Blizzard doesn't give you 100 dollars and then take 27.75% out of your pocket. They take 100 dollars from the Buyer and award you 72.25% of that amount for facilitating the trade.
Sounds like a sweet deal to me.

NektelMP posted a message on Trading CE dye? Place your vote here.Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from Shebnumi
Plocer is wrong that the CE dyes drop in world, but he is right about items reverting to default colors. It's some where in the blue posts.
He is wrong about them reverting when dropped or traded in game, they only revert when put up for auction, and they are unique, not the pale or rogue dyes.
Edit: Part way down this page, you can find both of these answers
http://www.diablofans.com/news/page__st__48/
If you're too busy to fish them out yourself I'll copy and paste them here.
"All of the Collector's Edition in-game items are absolutely exclusive to the Collector's Edition. It seems the screenshot you linked is of some datamined content, which doesn't accurately reflect what's available in the game.
The wings are exclusive to the Collector's Edition.
The dye colors are exclusive to the Collector's Edition.
The banner sigil is exclusive to the Collector's Edition.
Don't worry. Be happy."
"Q. Will the Collector’s Edition dyes have any sort of "particle effect" on the items, or are they simply dying them with a unique color?
No they don’t have particle effects. For now they can technically only be single color gradients.
Q. Will dyes be shown on gear on the AH? (For example: "This gear is dyed 'Off-White.' ") This is semi-important because of Collector’s Edition dyes. Players anticipate that since this dye will be rare, it will carry more value within the community.
No, dyes are removed from items when you put them on the AH.
Q. As a follow up to that, can items dyed with Collector’s Edition dyes be placed on both auction houses?
Absolutely, but the dye color is removed. Dyes are not removed if an item is dropped/traded, though.

However, to everyone following the game, beta invites were outside of their personal power to influence. To the fans of the game, you fell into 2 categories. Those with beta invites and those without. You could help tilt the scales in your favor ever so slightly by participating in fansite contests and events, but ultimately the beta handouts were completely random and out of the fan's hands.
That's the difference between the 2. In one category, fans had direct control over whether they get their reward or not. In the other category, fans had very little to no control whatsoever.

I was accepted into the closed beta, so I'm getting the feat of strength and the sigil. That being said, I'm very surprised by this move by Blizzard.
When I got my beta invite late 2011, I was so stoked. I was fortunate enough to be one of the few chosen before they sent out the mass 100,000 and 250,000 invites and was able to play the beta for quite literally months. To me, that was reward enough and I did not expect anything else. To my knowledge, Blizzard has NEVER given out a cosmetic award for participating in ANY OTHER BETA (though I'll admit, I could be mistaken).
So, I'm quite surprised by this move by Blizzard. I can't exactly complain because I was lucky enough to be chosen to participate. Not only did I get to taste the game several months before most, I'm also getting special recognition for doing so. However, a friend of mine was invited during their 100,000 player invite. He quite literally logged on once, essentially told me he after playing that he's more excited for Torchlight 2, then never played again. The fact that someone like him is getting special recognition when others never got the chance does irritate me. The fact that people that literally never even so much as downloaded the client or logged in are getting rewarded when people that would have loved to participate, let alone receive a reward, are getting the shaft. That bugs me.
I definitely sympathize with those that are upset. At this point, I can only count my blessings and be thankful that I was one of the lucky ones. I love this game and I'm more excited about it than any other game since probably Final Fantasy VII. However, just because I got lucky doesn't make it suck any less for those that weren't.

That being said, overall I don't think the build will be overly effective. The moment you get his with Nightmarish or get stuck by a waller/jailer or some kind of 'silence' ability we may not yet know about that prevents you from using your abilities, or getting caught in random traps on said lootable objects and you'll likely end up dying.
I think you may be able to manage to get to some chests/corpses etc. but overall, you will eventually die and those deaths + time spent getting to those lootable objects successfully won't award you a net gain. It's relatively common knowledge that chests/corpses and other lootable objects are relatively inferior to killing monsters for loot and treasure. There is the resplendent chests and if you can manage to get to several of them with minimal collateral damage, it may be worth it. However, on the other hand it could actually be surprisingly effective and extremely viable. All of this is just speculation anyway.
At any rate, +1 for coming up with a truly unique character build.

The black market sites pretty much will only benefit the sellers now, not the buyers. If you try to sell a $20 item on a black market site and other people are selling the same $20 dollar item on the RMAH, what incentive would I have to use the black market site?
So, the only way black market sites will be able to compete with the RMAH is if the sellers are selling items at discounted prices. At which point, when does it become worth it/not worth it? The item itself has to be sold for cheaper than it would on the RMAH, but sum of the sale after the black market site takes their cut (people seem to think they're free) has to be greater than the sum of the sale after Blizzard would has taken theirs. For an item that sells for $20 on the RMAH, how much of a discount would there need to be for people to be willing to use the 3rd party site instead? Would selling it for $19 dollars be enough? If not, you're better off using the RMAH because going lower than that and you wouldn't be making more profit.
The more expensive the item, the greater the discount on black market sites can be. Selling an item that would sell for $200 on the RMAH for $190 on a black market site 'may' appeal to some people. However, the question to the buyer becomes, is 10 bucks worth the peace of mind knowing you'll be guaranteed to receive what you pay for and avoid being scammed as well as the efficiency the RMAH provides?
IMO, only the super rare super expensive high quality items will have a place on black market sites. Anything worth more than $250 will have a place on 3rd party sites IMO. We'll just have to see how things pan out.

This was back when the original format had listing fees and each player would get a certain number of free listings every week. However, if any of your free listings sold, you'd still be charged a fee for it selling and an additional fee if you wanted to cash out.
However, they removed listing fees entirely so now you are free to put any item up on the AH for free and if it sells, they'll take their $1.00 and if you want to cash out, they'll take 15% of what remains. So, we don't get any 'freebies' on the fees they currently have in place, but we don't ever have to pay a listing fee now.

However, it's not a game I can just play over and over and over again. When I beat Hell difficulty, I'm done and I put the game away. What I end up doing is play the game for about a month, uninstall it, then a year later I'll reinstall it and play it again for a couple weeks with friends, uninstall etc. In that sense, D2 has good replay value, but I also do the same for lots of old games. Hell, just the other day I played Rygar again on an NES emulator all the way through, but I wouldn't say Rygar has good replay value.
Late last year (probably Oct. or so) a friend of mine, who is also waiting for D3 now, said he never played the other Diablo games. I convinced him to buy D2, convinced my brother to reinstall it and we played 3 player all the way through Nightmare difficulty over a few weeks. It was an absolute blast! I had more fun playing D2, which is a good 10+ year old game than I usually do playing something like Left 4 Dead. It was awesome! However, once we beat Nightmare, we were pretty much done with it. I don't think any of us has played it again since.
D3 I think will actually have more replay value for a gamer like myself than D2 did. When I read how people claim they have played D2 every day for the last 10 years, I first think to myself that they're full of it. Then I think, if they are in fact telling the truth, how the hell were they not completely bored out of their mind after that first year? Hell, even that first couple of months? The ladder resets alone I don't think makes much difference. It just resets the playing field and eliminates any hacked/duped gear, but ultimately it's the same game.
When it came to D2, I can play it for a few weeks but then I need to step away from the game and give myself breathing room and play something fresh. After a while, I can go back to D2 and really enjoy it again for a couple of weeks. However, I don't agree that D2 had all that much replayability and disagree with people that think D3 will have even less.
