Quote from TybuddI've seen some charts made that show with gear you can't get any higher than 256% pre-NV, but not confirmed by myself. But here is the chart
http://www.d3rmt.com...maximum-values/
Looks like you're missing topaz in the helmet: Radiant Star Topaz would add another 31%, giving 287% for a weapon+shield user, which matches what I always heard was the maximum.
If anyone actually does have 318%, without NV, without follower (as Wransik claims in post #4), I'd like to see a profile link.
http://eu.battle.net...4/hero/15888952 there you go, and that's with a crappy gem. No set rings as well which would boost to a total of 330 which is the absolute max before NV and without follower.
318 MF with only 390 INT and a 496 DPS weapon....what are you farming with all this MF exactly?
Not trying to be rude, I'm honestly curious. I can see maybe Nightmare farming, maybe Hell farming if you farm the earlier acts perhaps? I really don't know what's capable with that quality gear. That being said, I can't believe Inferno is possible with that setup.

I've been in the beta for several months now and beforehand, I'd literally go about a dozen complete runs without finding a rare item off of anything aside from first Leroic kills. On this last runthrough, I found 3 rares before I even made it to the SK. Either I had an exceedingly lucky run (with hardly any MF) or the drop rate of rares has increased.
Anyone else notice this?

To ensure I have my sigil unlocked, I submitted 3 different banners. I'll probably submit at least one more tomorrow just to be safe.

As much as I hate to bring WoW into the subject, we've seen time and time again how Blizz will say that they're unleashing the hardest raid content they've ever worked on whenever a new high end raid is introduced and time again we see several guilds clearing the entire thing on hardmode within a few days time. Sometimes as early as the very first day of it's release.
There's just some people who are extremely skilled and beat their heads against walls until they complete the content. When these skilled player reaches one of these walls in Inferno, they'll know pretty much immediately if they are capable of defeating it, and if they aren't they'll exactly what they need in order to do so, then either farm it up or buy it from the AH. They'll mess around with different skill combinations to give them the edge for very specific encounters or champion affix combinations. These players will probably have multiple armor sets, dedicated for specific challenges. Once these players reach Inferno difficulty, if it takes them longer than 2 full weeks to complete it, my hat's off to Blizzard for making an exceptionally challenging game.

Once I reach Inferno, I'd guess it'd take less than a day to beat Act I entirely. Then add a day of farming Act I to gear towards Act II.
Upon reaching Act II, allow another day to beat it, then another day to farm it.
Supposedly Act III is when things are supposed to get ridiculous, so I'd say a day and a half to beat it, another day to farm it.
Act IV, 2 days to beat it, then farm at your leisure.
So lets see, about 8 days or just over a week. I will however hope and pray it is MUCH harder than that and it takes me a couple months or more to complete.

Truth be told, I don't expect the entirety of Inferno to take more than a few days at most. Getting to Inferno might take a bit depending on how Blizzard has curved the leveling process, but even that I don't think will take more than a week (probably less) and something tells me the entirety of Inferno could be cleared in less time it took to level a character to 60.
Guess we'll find out soon enough though.

I've ordered several games off of Amazon that offered release date shipping. Here's the lowdown.
Don't expect your game at midnight. Depending on your location, don't even expect it noonish. On every game I've ordered with release date shipping, I think the earliest I've ever received it was 6pm, but sometimes as late as 9pm. So yes, technically release date, but with only a handful of hours left in the day.
So yes, you will receive your game on the 15th pretty much guaranteed. At what time on the 15th? Not at midnight and not sooner. At the earliest, you might get it by noon or afternoon. If you're luck is like mine, don't expect it before 6pm.

When you had flat difficulty, you were quite literally free to farm where you please. If Act II is your favorite spot in the entire game, farm Act II to your heart's content. If you liked Act IV, go for it! Everything gives you the same chances at getting the best stuff regardless of where you play.
However, now if you want the absolute best stuff possible, you have to now farm exclusively in Acts III and IV respectively (or so it would seem. Perhaps even limited to only Act IV). This puts a severe limit on the extreme players on where they can play to farm for the best stuff the game has to offer. In that regard, I'm somewhat disappointed.
On the other hand, once we reach level 60 and step foot into Inferno, we have a goal to work towards. Previously, the moment you can finish one Act, you would essentially be capable of finishing all Acts because of flat difficulty. Like Bash said, the final boss would be just as strong (or just as weak, whichever you prefer) as the first boss. According to their internal testing, this gave the endgame a bad feel that just didn't fit.
So, just taking queues from Bash's post. We can essentially break Inferno up into 2 seperate difficulties within itself. Early or Easy Inferno with Acts I and II and Lategame/Hard Inferno with Acts III and IV.
Overall, I agree with their decision and I look forward to getting my ass kicked in Inferno.

This really doesn't bother me. I mean, yeah it's slightly disappointing and the descriptions a bit misleading, but to be fair, when I have glowing angel wings coming out of my back, particles flying everywhere from spells and abilities, glowing weapons, all of this in the middle of tons of monsters, I highly doubt I'll miss having extra particles on my armor.
Absolutely, but the dye color is removed. Dyes are not removed if an item is dropped/traded, though.
Something tells me this isn't entirely accurate. I highly highly doubt Blizzard will allow people without the CE activated on their account to obtain armor dyed with the exclusive CE dyes. Let's face it, Blizzard isn't in the habit of letting just everyone get their hands on exclusive CE content. It's just a hunch, but I think whoever was answering the questions misunderstood what was being asked and the answer provided only applies to standard dyes.

I think this applies to Auction House only because I too remember reading about the beta servers being US only but retail will give every region localized servers. I could very well be wrong, but Aussies shouldn't give up hope.
(pardon my ignorance, I hope Aussie isn't an offensive term. If it is, I'll use the term Australian instead)

This video does not explain or demonstrate how the exploit works, but it does show you a guy on the map using the exploit to get to the new areas.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaoR-BvogM0&list=UUBrMdno_HthkogJrUrRI4Og&index=1&feature=plcp
You see him teleporting from one area of the map to others. You see him outside the perimeter of the map itself in areas that should be blank space. This is obviously the work of a 3rd party program and I for one am disheartened to see that people are already able to use 'TP hacks' on the official battle.net servers, even if it's only beta.
Basically, to me this demonstrates that people will be able to pull this kind of crap off once the game goes live as well. It may not be immediately, but eventually. If they can pull this off, what else will they be able to do or pull off? Diablo 2 is a game riddled with botters, spammers and hackers (ie: maphacks, etc). I don't want that junk in D3 and I was a firm believer that Blizzard could make that happen until now.

A: Having PvP arenas on retail and pushing the release date even further back
or
B: Getting the game out asap and patching arenas in later
I'll choose B every single time. Let's get the game out and playable. PvP will come soon enough and this gives people plenty of time to level up their character(s) to 60 and gear up for the PvP that's soon to come.
