stacking would be a good idea, think about it. example: In D2 your end goal was to kill Baal, you would get to him kill him (then complain about the drops because I enjoy playing a zealadin, and severely gear dependent and don't have alot of MF and just get blues) then reset starting the 10 or so minute process again gets boring real fast. I can't sacrifice alot for magic find or i can't kill the boss let alone get to him.
Now with this, i can play my monk with the smash'em up play style i'm planning on, go around several different zones killing whatever packs i can find, when i either reach max stacks, whatever i feel satisfied with, or have time for; kill all the bosses (lower level boss for alts) sift through my reward and I have just burned 45 minutes i either had time for, or what i planned on playing for that day. cause you would most likely run into some packs on your way to a boss.
in conclusion, stacking would allow for whatever you to devote as much time as you want/can for the best results. If you can find MF without gimping yourself then I can make a pretty solid character.

would it be to optimistic to say that rune/skill systems are the last major hurdle? or am i just clinging to false hope?
you are pretty much right
in saying that, i dont play the beta so not 100% ontop of what bugs or changes are left to be done, or blizz keeping certains things hush hush
but ye thats really thats left, unless.....more changes come about and beta 11 will have a load of stuff to test
i doubt it tho
it feels like end production now, i mean proper the end
As far as beta feels, it seems complete, just with the absence of runestones. I really do feel that's the last major change, and they can release when it's completed =P cmoooon feb 5th
Well, I say hold on to your seat cause it will still be a week or so before we "new information soon" -

To a point yes, if they reach perfection in the first shot they have no where to go but down. they are not give room for the game to evolve into something better if it starts out the best that is when things start happening that no one likesQuote from koz-D IIIi like it all the more time they take the more bad ass it will be! -

Also had this thought:
Situation #1: Its midnight of release those who have pre-downloaded it downloaded it 2 days prior can play once it goes live. It is a large amount of information on some players internet you might need those 2 days. i.e Mine
Situation #2: My nearest GameStop is 15 minutes away, depending on where I get in line might need to add some more time. Now I need to add another +30 minutes for install so I would not be able to play till about 1:30, and knowing my luck I will have work or whatever the next morning so I will either not sleep and be tired and grumpy all day or I have to wait till I can play which might not be for another 24 hours. Most likely I would go stright to be after work allowing for more time to pass before I can make things die.(I've been waiting for this game for a long time, so to me that is completely out of the question )
Now, I do intend on adding this to my digital library on my B.net account, so I can install it and keep the box in a safe place. 15 years down the road when my child picks it up and I get to have a jog down memory lane.(of course in 15 years Blizzard would have already released Diablo 666 and would not be relevant to play it anymore, but the memories are nice to have.)

This doesn't mean there are not problems that would arise from doing this.
When I say pre-download I mean 99.90% of the game, when the clock hits midnight in your region download is available and takes a minute to give you the very important file that allows you access to running the game.
I'm curious on what the fan base thinks, and any problems I haven't thought of.

Knowing blizzard some problem will arise and have to push it back.

Dyes my friend Dyes, Blizzard learned from their mistake from WoW and allowing people to customize their armor appearance.

That's it that's all I want from you guys, I want to learn this stuff on my own. It's those moments of discovery that make it exciting for me.
anyone else want this?
