posted a message on Can't even get the client downloader to work
Is there anyone else out there that is having or has this error message come up?

"Failed to run a required program (blizzard setup). Wait one minute and try again and if that doesn't work please restart your computer and try again.

please click the link below for more information or contact customer support if the problem persists."

    error code: BLZAPPBTS0000J

I have followed both directions and even went to their "support forum" and there isn't anything on the subject. My problem is after i downloaded the .exe file it would run, then after several minutes of checking for updates it would come up with that error message.

I tried calling blizzard to talk to a real person but they don't allow questions regarding Beta. Any suggestions?

posted a message on Diablo mini-series > Diablo movie
I've heard and read alot of posts saying there should be a Diablo movie... i have to disagree. When you make a movie you can only fit so much into such a small about of time. To be what would be boss would be an entire mini-series starting from the conflict of Heaven and Hell and have a 5 or so part mini series leading up to the events of D1. Where the final scene sees Aiden walking up to the cathedral, now that would be wizard.

edit: make it animated too, cause you can do alot more with that.

posted a message on To those of you saying Inferno was nerfed!!
    Quote from Bogatog

What Bashiok was referring to there is that insane players want the difficulty to be incredibly high, but that way the casual-hardcore audience would hit a "brick wall". Having equal difficulty in the entirety of Inferno didn't do much for the insane players, but increasing the difficulty even more would make the casual-hardcore really hit that wall. And so the gradual increase in difficulty was introduced "for the casual-hardcore to not get brick walled" and the insane people out there still getting a challenge later on, as they progress in Inferno.

Of course, you could say that's interpretation. But I'm starting to think everyone is just making too much fuss out of all of this. :)

The whole thing is interpretation. A few people interpreted it correctly, a few others interpreted incorrectly and a few others interpreted possibilities. Right now, some of the ones that interpreted incorrectly are maintaining it was a mistake on Bashiok's part and not theirs.

i'm still having trouble understanding that post; so me only being able to play a few hours a day a few times a week and on weekends if i'm lucky once i hit inferno i'm going to hit a wall unless I throw everything i have into playing this game... so i hit inferno can barly do it get frustrated and move on to something else. Do that with all 5 classes and just wait for expansion? because i hit that "brick wall" but still want to get as best of gear as possible to satisfy my e-penis?

posted a message on How long do you think it will take you to finish Inferno ?
For me I don't bet on getting to hell in the first 5 - 6 months with school/work/other things i'll only be able to invest 2 hours on any given weekday and only a few hours on the weekends. the week after finals next semester I plan on devoting some time but not a lot.

you guys really need to get over no hostility, its not in get used to it. are you guys sad because you can't roll around with your virtual penis out and kill people who play less then you? the arena is there for you to do that. yes it will take a bit to release, but just deal with it.

Blizzard is going to be releasing some information about their franchises and may seem real but aren't. normlly they have 1 big obvious one and a few plausible ones. I've been following communities like this long enough to know that there is much freak out at nothing.

with that said i can't wait to see what they have planned.

posted a message on Your greatest fear with D3???
I would definitely have to say its the same problem i got in d2 you get to a point where you hit a wall in progression. You get to a point where everything kills you quickly and you can't kill anything. I can't progress because i can't find the gear to help me progress. i just get stuck... then lose interest. I"m not asking for super easy, just result from hard work; i could live with inch by inch as long i get some kind of result.

posted a message on Top 10 Reasons Diablo 3 Sucks
there is something i have always wanted to know and i would like someone please explain... why are graphics so important? important enough to the fact its always a key issue with most people, seems like it's graphics > gameplay. You can't really have both, yes there are some exceptions, but the reality is you need to try and balance it the best way you can. diablo is about gameplay not graphics and that kind of shallow thinking is why the gaming industry isn't the way it was 10+ years ago.

there is a reason why, in my opinion, Doom is still the greatest game in history. At the time they graphics where state of the art but now they are so cheesy its laughable. I still play it and i still enjoy the crap out of it, why? because it still has great and challenging gameplay (on nightmare)

posted a message on Nephalem Valor Buff
stacking would be a good idea, think about it. example: In D2 your end goal was to kill Baal, you would get to him kill him (then complain about the drops because I enjoy playing a zealadin, and severely gear dependent and don't have alot of MF and just get blues) then reset starting the 10 or so minute process again gets boring real fast. I can't sacrifice alot for magic find or i can't kill the boss let alone get to him.

Now with this, i can play my monk with the smash'em up play style i'm planning on, go around several different zones killing whatever packs i can find, when i either reach max stacks, whatever i feel satisfied with, or have time for; kill all the bosses (lower level boss for alts) sift through my reward and I have just burned 45 minutes i either had time for, or what i planned on playing for that day. cause you would most likely run into some packs on your way to a boss.

in conclusion, stacking would allow for whatever you to devote as much time as you want/can for the best results. If you can find MF without gimping yourself then I can make a pretty solid character.
