i can almost guarantee servers wont go live till 12:01 am PST. Just like they did with cata.. you might not believe me but that's how its gonna be.. book it
How much do you plan on spending? I've built the last few pc's I've owned and I have found out the hard way, intel extreme processors, top of the line graphics and liquid cooling are hardly necessary to achieve top gaming performance =)
Note... I'm a big fan of spending $ on the shit I want, cash & carry =)
Edit - I'd be more than happy to help you out if you need some good ideas.
I'm planning to spend about 3k, not including accessories like the monitor or input devices.
I'm pretty set on liquid cooling, not because I plan to OC to an extreme degree, but just because I'm really looking forward to the challenge, and to be 100% honest, I LOVE the way a nicely build, UV reactant liquid system looks ;).
After a lot of time researching benchmarks and general part feed back here's my general part list, not including all the little things like water components or anything. Let me know what you think!
Case: Corsair 650D
Mobo: Gigabyte G1 Sniper 2 (Expensive, but it's gaming benchmarks beat even the Rampage 3, and I love the heatsink style lol.)
CPU: i7 2600k (3.4ghz factory)
GPU: GTX 580 Classified (Not out yet, should be in the next month at the latest)
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB DDR3 1866 (Can't go wrong for $150 :P)
Everything else is just kinda irrelevant I guess, but yeah those are my base components!
.. Actually, this isn't off topic, it's how I've been passing my time!
thats a bad ass system.. Do you pref Intel over AMD? and...
I like the 580 its beast but i have 2 friends that have it and they said if they could they would have gone with the 6970 instead.. currently what i have and love it to
only thing i can think of that might have fryed the mobo is the mobo touching the case/chassie because of standoffs or he didnt use the right stand offs?
I've been browsing the web, hoping to be pleasantly surprised regarding the release dates of SW:TOR and GW2. No luck. I bought Fallout New Vegas last night thinking bugs would be pretty much gone by now (just as I did with Fallout 3 GOTY a good while back) but they're not, the music is STILL screwed. <_<
I also picked up smoking, because I never seem to realize that it does not help my nerves at all. Until I've started again, that is. Which happened partially because the wait for D3 to go retail is killing me.

I pay 19.99$ right for a year then 50$ a month for a year after that for these speeds.

Is it worth it? or a good deal?
