Sep 9, 2011Man I hope people don't share your thoughts concerning gaming philosophy every time they log into an fps and actually believe they're blowing people away. That's messed up. I personally have always seen games as a way to wind down and relax, a form of entertainment not an alternate reality where I have a separate existence.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Sep 8, 2011Wonder how many people would even notice Easter eggs from games they haven't played??? Or are we really that pissed off about other blizzard titles.... ?Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

I think this thread is funny. On the first page people are like:
"X would be cool to see"
"I don't know... let's say NONE!"
"It would be neat to see a mob named X maybe"
"Diablo =/= WoW! Diablo is Diablo!"
And so on and so forth.
Personally, I wouldn't want to see TOO much, but it would be neat to see a little reference here and there.
For a weapon I always liked the Krol Blade, even though it's so simple, but for a flashy weapon I would love to a sulfuras-esque mace. And hey, it semi-matches with the whole Hell them, since it is, ya know, the hammer of a fire lord.
I may not be super smart, but I think Hell has fire (I sure hope it does >.<)
And Malminos, you sir, have just made my day, man.
Exactly. All I see are a bunch of fat, angry, weak nerds who try to claim what they do is sophisticated and challenging and what other players do is faceroll and easy. That is the height of hypocrisy.
I really don't care if you think there shouldn't be ties between diablo 3 and other blizzard titles, fact of the matter is even at fundamental levels the game has carried over concepts, skills, etc directly from the warcraft universe. Fan of knives, fury=rage, arcane power, spirit vs holy power, attacks which heal the player (life leech aside) and much much more.

Precision increases the critical strike chances and also increases the percentage of critical damage.
Also there are some spells ( i'm refering to the wizard ) that are "better" for a crit build, imo the 'ice' spells, such as blizzard, frost nova and so, that have adittional bonuses with runes related with crit damage or chance.
Yet another wow conversion.
Sep 8, 20111. What is your LEAST favorite part of the game you have seen so far? (talk about something that isn't a toggle option)Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
-Least favorite part of the game I've seen is just the same crap over and over and over. It looks like a sick game but I was afraid of this, and for good reason. 1 hour of content over 5 characters = 5 hours of content, kinda small compared to other betas I've been part of in the past. Hopefully this means game will actually launch sooner than later.
2. What toggle options will you turn off? Or what do you want to be a toggle option, so you can turn it off?
-I would lessen the RADIUS of the near-death animation, and/or the opacity.
-I would lessen the mouse over outline but sharpen the effect, or feather it more. (would have to play around with it). Though I think it's a cool feature personally, I know others would disagree.
>>But most of all I'd like to have a drop down list of 20 different cursors to choose from.
3. What is your FAVORITE part of the game so far?
4. What is your biggest concern?
-See #1. Biggest concern is small amount of content, not that I'm complaining. I'd also hate to see the game spoiled, can't win.
Sep 8, 2011Just looking at the passives, one skill gives(iirc) +20% chance to crit with +30% crit damage, and another passive gives +100% crit damage.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
It seems like if you were to get enough of these passives, and with the right items you could reach a critical mass of crit and make a legit crit heavy build.

Sep 8, 2011She seems like she takes the most work to get the job done early game, which usually means it's one of the most fun things to handle.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
People are getting a little thrown off because it looks semi weak starting off. Weak is not equal to character being boring. Personally I was a bit skeptical about the witch doctor before but now I think all the classes look friggen cool.
Sep 8, 2011holy power... uses combo points kinda like monk and his abilities.. not too different from spirit and the ways his abilities work. Both of which can be consumed for utility or damage when you compare the DPS spec paladin to diablo (all of which are dps). And arcane power I think had its largest debut in wow under the tutelage of arcane mages. Mana is actually nearly inconsequential for ret paladins( an afterthought), at least it was around the time I stopped playing.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion

I'd like a Leeroy Jenkins boots, which forces you to run into a large group of mob if you stand still for more than 5seconds.
The only reason I'm able to still laugh at this is because I only watched the initial video 5 or fewer times, and spoke of it even less.
Sep 8, 2011I think the reason this was added was because it's going to be hecka hard for people (especially those with poor vision) to be able to see/target some mobs through fog/haze, dark areas and have those creatures, which may be similar in color to the environment, stand out.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
I don't see a problem with this, as long as they give control to the player in the end. Maybe have an option for another color outline, a thinner outline, a more "feathered" outline or something, as well as the option to turn it off.
Just some ideas off the top of my head.

I'm a little disappointed in the demon hunter rag tag capes and scarfs. What the hell is that all about. Also the male wizard looks rediculous. Not only does he have the posture and figure of a female demon hunter, he has the face of a boy.
Nov 9, 2011Judgement was pretty good, granted that was for another game. The tyrael costume has to be the worst, and I'm male. I won't get into the ethics, but not everyone thinks solely with their member stuck in a permanent pre teen mentality, just pointing it out, a few weeks late albeit, but I've been busy.Posted in: News

Sep 23, 2011I don't understand it very well myself. Why would we want to randomly specialize our characters? It's comparable to going to the auction house and buying a completely random jewel, who knows what you're going to get. Except this is our character's skill build plan.... This doesn't make sense. If players should have ease of control it should be one thing, the way in which they specialize their skills through customization.Posted in: News
I don't like the system jay put forwards. The fact that the runes drop randomly to begin with is already enough randomization. If you -have- to take it a step further, I'd settle for random minor affixes for the hardcore players who have no lives and can spend every waking moment sitting in town messing with artisans. We already have completely random item drops, random item affixes, random crafting item affixes, random jewel/rune drop chance etc. If you factor in random dropping charms with random stats into all of this with an expansion it's just too much.
The more I hear about this rune system the less involved I feel I'm able going to be in the diablo universe. I have to go to school, work, maintain relationships and support family and friends. I don't have time for that crap.
