Speaking of how awesome this game is going to be, anyone else notice that one quick shot in the latest 50% unlock? It shows a toon standing in what I'm guessing is going to be the Act 2 main city. Maybe it's because I've been playing beta for 6 months and it's a drastic change in environment, but it's looked effing gorgeous.

I did notice this as well. Definitely made me very excited to play the game and see some of the environments that will be completely different than anything we've seen in the beta, or any videos so far.

And ya looks like the act 2 main city to me as well.

**** Very teeny tiny spoiler, but really just speculation. ***
Strikingly similar to Lut Gholein, which I think might sense since it's a major port if I remember from D2 correctly. I think a lot of us would love to see that city again. And tell Jerhyn to stay out of our damn way....

    Gogogo!!

Looks like a big unlock at 50% (based on the fact that the circle is larger).

    Exciting stuff.

I figure with my build, i'll be spamming more entangling before the cluster, I do like how you've gone life leech with the elemental, so maybe I'll change from bat to boar companion and go your route.

Not sure why everyone is going wolf companion, I understand it does double the damage of most other companions, but it could disappear at really inopportune times. I guess you'd probably be a bit more of a micro'er than me :)

Ya that makes sense, entangling is great. Ya life leech is actually what ended up appealing to me a lot about that skill, it took care of the necessary defensive role of life gain that I hadn't filled well enough.

For me I went with the wolf because for my build I won't be using vault too often, mostly only when necessary or sometimes to move around (out of combat - backtracking to stairs, that sort of thing,) hence the decreased cost on successive vaults. So ideally I will try to always have enough discipline to cast wolves if they ever run out while I'm in a tight spot. I'd like to be below 10 disc in combat situations as rarely as possible. We'll have to see how this plays out, I've definitely considered other pet types, or perhaps even the sentry, for that we'll really have to see how it plays out.

The change to multishot actually made me not want to play this class anymore, I was looking forward to multishot as my main aoe attack, but now its not really spammable, and in my opinion she doesn't have any good spammable AoE spells, or they have special mechanics for their AoE - such as Bola shot or Chakram.. and I'm not particularly interested in dealing with special mechanics on AoE skills (*cough* blessed hammer *cough*) so yea, guess I'll be trying out a new class at the start. =(

    http://us.battle.net...cldT!beT!aYacbc

That was my planned build, there's just nothing that really takes the place of multshot. =\ I'm open to suggestions though.

Edit: I guess you didn't list the unofficial changes, the specific change I'm refering to is:

Multishot: Now costs 40 Hatred, up from 15 an deals 165% weapon damage, up from 115%
Altered your build to make it more viable since changes, you should still consider DH

Another strong AoE is Elemental Arrow, it's cheap enough to be fairly spammable. It doesn't really have a special mechanic, apart from shooting in a straight line through enemies rather than spreading out straight away. Also it can be runed to have a variety of effects.

Ya elemental arrow is more along the lines of what I was thinking about. Cluster arrow is even less spammable than multishot. I need something on my right click that I can use often, more often than entangling shot if I can pull it off. Multishot might still be viable with the hatred cost reduction, but I don't know.

Elemental arrow does seem like an interesting replacement, it was fun to use when it was in the beta, and could directly replace multishot.

That is an interesting build, I wonder what the damage type of nether tentacles is. If it is still fire I'll have to change the rune skill for rapid fire to have two different damage types, but that's ok with me. Things are looking up.

I tried to look for this on google but it proved fairly difficult, so maybe someone with a keener ear than I can help me out.

The guy narrating both of the class videos sounds A LOT like Oenomaus (pronounced anameus), who is the Doctore in the Spartacus series. I'm probably wrong, but figured I'd ask anyway. Also those videos are awesome.

Man, your entire build is almost solely dedicated to short range AoE. You'll get absolutely obliterated by ranged nukers and summoners, never mind the bosses.

So I guess I'm the only one that saw that video and thought they looked awesome.

Either way, ya, disagree with everyone here I guess. Didn't seem bad at all, 5 fetishes dishing out what appears to be decent damage, while absorbing damage and aggro, while still allowing you to cast other spells. Seems great to me, fits perfectly into the build I had set aside for my WD, and seeing this video just solidifies that belief.

I don't know if this relates to the Diablo servers or not. But on the cataclysm launch i played from when it went active til that night and experienced zero problems with servers. I think that as a whole Blizzard has gotten better about managing huge waves of players.
True. I had the same experience. Although WoW servers ≠ Diablo III servers, I hope they are similar enough that there are minimal, or no, problems.

True. But experience with servers from WoW = experience with servers for D3. This isn't WoW launch anymore, these boys and girls know how to run a network.

Also, don't bother citing examples from the D3 beta as a counter point, it's wrong.

Great for me as well, I will be finishing my degree at the end of April. I was planning to take a few months off before whatever the hell awaits me after graduation, so I'll be spending a good amount of time with Diablo 3. =D

Can you even read what I wrote! Do you want to get an item which is useless as soon as you find it as it was replaced by a new $%^£& difficult to find another item from the expansion? Do you?

Yes I read what you wrote, and pretty plainly stated I thought it was a terrible idea, based on a silly hypothetical situation and went on to say why. I'll do it again, since apparently I wasn't clear.

Why would I buy an expansion for game that is almost entirely based around itemization, if they didn't actually introduce any new itemization into the game. I don't care if the expansion comes out one day after I find some uber item, I'll just use that uber item to find me some more.

You're suggesting that they literally not add new content to an expansion, which is exactly what I would expect from an expansion.

You don't seem catching the point here which is that you will never ever own any ubber item unless you buy it as every ubber you possibly get will be instantly rubbish as soon expansion hit the market. It may be even that you won't be able to find item you want till expansion hit and all your drool will be wasted. I don't expect you to understand as it seems you can't.

    This makes no sense.

You can still get new skills. But regarding items imagine situation that you are grinding around and after a year you have found your lvl 60 ubber item and you are so happy when 1 day later they release an expansion and your ubber items is not ubber anymore and you have only two options now of either grinding for another year just to meet another expansion or to buy new ubbers on RAHM if you want them to stay ubber. I think it would suck, don't you ?

You're right I'd rather get a new expansion with no new items at all...

What a ridiculous hypothetical situation, are you actually saying you don't want to see newer and better items in the expansion, because you don't want to have to try to earn them.
