Aug 17, 2011KingCobb posted a message on Inferno RevealedThe max level 85 doesn't include throne of destruction. I think that was just referencing straight D2. I want to say Baal on Hell was higher then 85.... anyway. Venator: The idea behind Inferno is that it is all a flat difficulty. Meaning that Act 1 inferno is just as difficult as Act 4 inferno. I imagine the majority of the difficulty difference between monsters will be the amount of abilities they have. There may be some level variation, but I would imagine Inferno Diablo is probably level 65 absolute max in a solo game. Now depending on how scaling works, he could be level 75 or 80 in a 4 player game...though I doubt it would be that high. While inferno will be hard to solo, I don't have any fears of a level 61 fallen 1 hitting me. seriously at that level, 1 level advantage on a cannon fodder will not suddenly make them a huge threat. Now, a pack/horde of fallen at level 61 would be a much bigger threat, but I think a solo lvl 60 could handle it. A group of Unburied/hundred pounders or the skeleton king surrounded by a bunch of skeletons would be a bit more difficult. But I would imagine still doable.Posted in: News
Otherwise you have the Raid idea from MMOs start up. I can see it now "Need full group for inferno run" messages everywhere. You will be able to solo, it will be hard, and whenever someone joins your game it will scale even harder. -
Aug 17, 2011KingCobb posted a message on Inferno RevealedII would imagine you would have to play through. I still say if the scaling works, you should be able to have a challenge solo or in a group o 2,3,4.Posted in: News

Aug 17, 2011KingCobb posted a message on Inferno RevealedAs long as they stick with the idea of avoiding cheap difficulty i am good. No 4 immunes or iron maiden. I think you will be able to solo hell. Jay has said they want to encourage party play, but not deter those who prefer to solo. I think inferno might require partying to an extent, but I don't think it will be impossible to solo.Posted in: News

1) Tyrael-The duh theory I know. Deckard say no one has seen him sense worldstone. Believes Tyrael's physical body was destroyed when the worldstone blew up. The predictable answer.
2) Imperius--I think it is really unlikely this is the case. Just don't buy it.Too many reasons to doubt this, but some people like to think so.
3) My out of left field completely based off of vibe from Book of Cain---Malthael. He dissappeared when the worldstone was destroyed, Cain has talked to the "stranger" but doesn't know who he is, although he mentions suspecting who he really is. I think if it was Tyrael, Deckard would know it. Is connected to the worldstone so maybe he came to earth to look for it. Not sure why he would do it as a human but who knows.

Some of it is apparently written after you have killed skeleton king. Spoiler
Spoiler .........it mentions deckard and leah having met the stranger and Cain references the comet hitting the monastery.
Lots of Angel info. Including their parts of heaven and named items each of angris council members have.
Inarius was apparently a leautenant or something under tyrael. I had thought he had been part of angris council.
Lots of regional information on different areas.
Details of mage clan wars.
Explain what pandemonium fortress is. It isn't in hell.
Really good accounting of all the plots up to this point. Very in character.

It says in BoC that deckard believes the "angel" to actually be an echo of uldyssians sacrifice. The actual name given was by the man who witnessed it not an actually angel identifying itself as such. Still bo idea why imperius stain glass.

From the Lore Panel at Blizzcon:
"Q: Is Adria dead?
A: Yes, you will find out how in Diablo III"
II. The black soulstone cinematic is the intro cinematic when the game starts, so it takes place while Deckard is still missing and before any of the game has occurred.
III. Still not absolutely sold that the fallen star is Tyrael. There are a lot of things that point that way, but I haven't yet found anything I could describe as confirmation.
IV. The part about the triune grabbing the human who was in the meteor doesn't happen in the beta, as the skeleton king doesn't talk after you beat him the beta just ends. It was datamined from the initial beta client along with the different convos for barbs, but has been removed in the updates.

I am imagining the triune is responsible considering they are the ones who grab the human that fell in the star from the heavens. Skeleton king tells you that after you beat him.

B. Azaels reference to deception set in motion long ago is explained in the Convo with him where he says it was he who told tyrael about the soulstones. So that isn't a mystery.
C. I think the new cinematic is Azmodan sensing the traces of dialog in leah. There would be no reason for him to confront leah if Cain was who he wanted.
D. Hell was at war with the 3 in sanctuary. That is why Meph sent dialog into hell and said send your terror into hell. Ie remake hell from belial and az.
E. If Tyrael can see through diablos terror in the books I would think he would have no trouble seeing through belials lies.
