Literally all I want is for followers to convert core stats to their preferred type. For instance, It's really frustrating to gear out an Enchantress as a Demon Hunter. Granted, it's much easier now with the cube, as all you have to do is farm up some mats and level a Wizard to 70, then re-roll the item until it suits your needs, but even that just feels like an unnecessary time-sink. The odds of me finding the optimal gear for one are low enough as-is, (especially something like a Thunderfury with IAS and CDR...) much less getting ancient versions of them.
That said, I would LOVE if the "Cannot Die" relics weren't mandatory. It just feels so pointless have the other two options considering they just instantly pop no matter how decked out they are. I understand that they shouldn't be as powerful as players, and that they'll never be anywhere close to as powerful as their D2 counterparts, but I'd still like to have options. While we're at it though, Blizzard really needs to update the info tabs for followers to include CDR. We all know it works, so why isn't it present? Silly
I got a good one in stash, definitely will try out as soon as I acquire all the set pieces. spike trap/caltrop combo could also worth a try. Backards kiting might become tedious sometimes though..
It was the only way I could get the multishot build into GR50 on PTR. The lures stop everything dead in their tracks and the only dudes it won't work on (yellows) you'll probably be trying to skip anyways. I was running Odyssey's End with Entangling Shot + Cull the Weak + Mark for Death for some seriously stupid numbers (3b+ crits on RG's with suboptimal gear), but Chanon eventually took over simply for consistencies sake. Calamity or Balefire are also solid options but both require the Nightstalker passive and neither help the survivability issue.
The caltrop belt is pretty nifty too, but I kept going back to TWH. It's a very nice placeholder though.
Play with F/R, Krider, and MBolts. Phil just got gr 51 down with fairly suboptimal gear.
That said, the build is stupid fast in t6 as MS:A with Cindercoat, but really struggles in 40+. Maybe if I get lucky and nab a Ancient Calamity, I can push higher, but I'm pretty stuck at the moment. Phys M6 is just soooo much easier to play.
I don't particularly like people who don't bother to read the whole post before answering. I like people who just outright stop reading at some point for some arbetrary reason even less. Then there are those, who take things way out of context... You'd make a nice news reporter for the gossip magazines.
In the unlikely event that you're not as ignorant as you seem to be, I will clarify: no non-6pc Akkhan's set build relies on it, and non-6pc Akkhan's set build is made around that ability. As I said, the endgame 6pc Akkhan's set builds are a whole different beast, but that's what I referred to earlier: Akarat's Champion being mandatory is only a problem with the set, not the skill itself.
Minus the part where AC is mandatory in a Firestarter build... considering that's where it gets its namesake lol. The set obviously makes it completely ridiculous, however. And this is where i draw the comparison:
Gutting Prep:Punish would be like gutting AC:FS, it makes zero sense to do so. You just removed a viable, albeit lower tier, spec for no real reason. Now say they added a set or legendary that returns it to the previous state, or at least makes it a toned down version of semi-viable (think Woh vs Vanilla CM), and you've done a whole bunch of work running in circles for literally no reason. Punish isn't overpowered just the same as Firestarter isn't overpowered. Which is why some of us are pretty upset about it. Why are we investing resources into nerfing interesting and challenging aspects of the game, versus promoting alternatives.
At the end of the day, it really doesn't matter. We have a PTR, and thus ~6 months of testing to prove how terribly stupid the change is.
This "OMG SKY IS FALLING LOL NOOB JUST ADAPT" shit needs to die in a fire. Gutting Prep is literally gutting our class, forcing everyone to play Sentry. For NO reason. Sure there might be NEW breakout builds with the changes, but why REMOVE existing one? It's fucking stupid and lazy.
I mean, have you guys even played Sentry?? IT'S BORING AS FUCK. pls bliz... no riparino.
pls.
You don't know that yet. Easy as that. You have no clue whether there IS a reason behind this change or not, maybe Blizzard know that with some 2.1 changes this skill needs a nerf. But you don't.
We know there's a 20 second cooldown. We also know thatsimultaneously stacking CDR and RCR is impossible. There is no way they will buff CA via reducing its cost, and I'm safely assumingSuppressionFire won't become a builder. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that cycling is dead. The thing that bothers me is the backtracking from Blizzard, so I'll reiterate my previous post, in bold, so that it's more clear:
Why remove specs and play styles from the game instead of just adding more viable alternatives?
CA is not the best spec, and any endgame DH will tell you that. Instead offorcing us to abandon a spec, they shouldincentivisealternatives. Look at Kridershot, Tenclip, Duffel, and Burzia, as item-specific build enablers. Look at our terrible lv 61 ability and how the runes for Poison and Lightning are backwards thematically. Look at our element distribution between runes, and the fact that we don't even have a cold Rain of Vengeance or Vengeance for that matter. We don't have the notes, in which all of the aforementioned points may be true, but that still doesn't excuse removing Punish from the game. They're losing player base rapidly, and this kind of change is not the type of thing that relays future plans comfortably.
(EDIT: I have no idea why the spacing in this post is all silly.. It wont let me fix it)

Definitely skeptical on the Monk getting a real class pass, though I also hope that it happens. I mean awhile back they said they didn't like how one with everything was mandatory and they were looking at changes without pissing current monks off. They just gave up, and made RoS items unable to spawn with all resist+one resist. When wave of light was really good, they said Monks were "in a good place" then nerfed it later. Fists of Thunder Thunderclap and Mantra of Conviction were really good back then too, both got nerfed for RoS. They did buff some other things to try and make up for it, but they did a really half assed job.
Like I said, it really feels more like a "Dex sucks as a defensive stat" thing. Damage dealt feels reasonable, as fire or lite, but you're just so squishy. Us DH's have the advantage of range, thus it's a little more manageable, but it's definitely a glaring issue. I have no idea how they could address it, but they need to stop the random 1 shot deaths in t5-6 without Unity cheese.
Very exciting information, especially for crafting and the monk set buffs. 3000% damage every dash is kind of nutty.
Wonder if they [Crafting Mats] still drop though? I mean, Razorclaw farm T6 for ridiculous gph?

I'd hope Blizzard's plans for putting Monks in a better place doesn't involve the Monk struggling to get their end game sets and then suddenly doing absurd amounts of damage simply due to having their sets.
To be fair, that's exactly how Barbs and DH's operate. I guess we have to hold out hope for 2.1 and hopefully get a real "class pass". Dex really needs to be looked at in general, if only for EHP reasons.

RCR -> Area Damage. There's really no other option.

Extremely easy with Yangs, DML, Cindercoat, and FNR. The rest of the pieces honestly don't even matter.

Build: Evasive - Focus, Multi - Arsenal, Bat, Vault, Prep - Punish, Seethe.
Passives: Awareness, Ambush, Cull, Ballistics, Steady Aim (Hellfire)
Gems: Stricken, Trapped, Zei's (all at 50+)
Cube: Calamity, Hexing, Convention.
Follower: Enchantress with Thunderfury + Occculus Ring + Ess of Johan. (She has Unity but I'm not using it cuz the damage @40 is laughable)

And CA is dead come 2.1 with the removal of Punish/Suppression, so we'll have to wait and see what new "enabler" legendaries are available.

I cannot for the life of me wrap my brain around nerfing the higher skillcap, lower tier spec. It just doesn't make sense.

Bandaid fix is clearly a bandaid, albeit a fun one.
